That leads to a very good question I have....what would be the proper quality/persona/gimmick that Cena should adopt?

Turning Cena heel would be a dumb movie, despite what every one says, he's the Superman baby face that every company needs one of. I keep hearing Cena needs to be turned heel, and right now that would be a huge mistake, as we have no one that could take up his mantle as top baby face of Raw, or the WWE in general.

I wish he could at least try to add some new moves, or do his current ones cleaner....or just stop making stupid faces when hes in a hold.

What are you talking about?
Cena(heel) versus HBK(face) until Summerslam, when Triple H returns...which then he becomes a heel and Cena becomes a face again.
Thing is, I dont think the heel trigger will be pulled by HQ on sunday...but the possibility exists.

I'd much rather see HBK as a heel, and I don't want to see Cena lose until HBK is one.
Shawn Micheals always worked better as a heel then a face, and even as a face he won't be as effective at the job as Cena.

Shawn is going to go for a third SuperKick after Cena has kicked out of the previous ones, Cena is going to tuck under it, roll into the STFU and Micheal Higgenbottom is going to tap out like Trips did as Cena continues to be like the Undertaker when it comes to winning at Wrestlemania.

All I know is, the rematch at the next PPV is inevitable.

Yeah...he really IS that bad. He's f***ing horrible actually. He's not funny, interesting, or entertaining in the slightest way possible. He's so forced on us it's pathetic and his matches are the same damn thing every single week and it's been that way for years now.
If you've seen one Cena match you've seen them all:
Cena starts by punching and kicking
heel takes over beating the crap out of him
Cena makes a Hogan-like comeback: clothesline, clothesline, shoulder block, protobomb, 5 Knuckle Shuffle, F-U, STFU...the end.
That s*it is so old and boring it's not even funny. He wasn't good before he won the belt 2 years ago...and he's no better 2 years later.

I don't blame Cena. I blame "Creative".
"Creative" made this Superman+God+Jack Bauer invincible character and foists it upon us. And if you know anything about his pre-WWE career, you know he trained in the same dojo and class with Samoe Joe, so he knows how to wrestle ... but his gimmick and the company shackle him with the WWE Main Event Style. Thus, we're stuck with a guy who does little more then brawl, but can and does beat everybody, regardless of skill or strength. So, I think the hate is more backlash over overpushing and underproducing.

I'm just tired of squashes. I had the same resentment towards HHH when he was champ. Anyone remember Muhammad Hassan's Championship match? It didnt bother me that Hassan lost. It did bother me that it was a TOTAL squash. Hassan had no offensive moves. He was made to look like a local jobber. This all happened as hassan was really beginning to pick up some steam as a legit heel.
Cena is approaching having noone to fued with. If he retains, who's next for him?
I think we need some heel champs. Sadly this PPV will not produce any.

Cena isn´t bad. The problem is: They aren´t building any other babyface or heel. So is always Cena vs. Edge or Orton :/...

I agree, I remember his (or what i think was his) first match in WWE, against Angle, in the Angle challenge. It was a damn good match, one of the best i has seen in a while. And thought, this cat is gonna be a really great wrestler...and then he started getting pushed...and w/ little or no technique whatsoever. Like someone said, punch, clothesline, shoulder block *shudder* 5 knuckle shuffle, and finisher of choice. If they would have kept him in that type of mode, I think the wrestling community would actually be begging for a push for him.

He comes out to his music in a suit and tie and a clipboard. Checks the Titantron and Pyros. Claims the pyros are too hazardous for a proper working enviroment and begins a crusade to remove all pyro from WWE shows.

He can put on good matches, and when he has a backstage interview like he did tonight he can be damned entertaining. You can do a lot worse than John Cena. And the Double Double E will work EXTRA hard this year to do far worse than John Cena. That's a guaren-DAMN-tee!

You can do a lot worse than John Cena. Batista. My hatred for Cena has subsided a lot. I don't mind the guy that much. I'm pretty tired of him always overcoming the odds & being shoved down our throats.

Don't worry about that, most of the John Cena hate has drifted to Batista and Lashley anyway. Well when he is head and shoulders above the rest and I still haven't really heard anything really bad about his backstage manner, he's fine in my book. At least he seems to bust his ass. If only he stopped using submissions and maybe not have such lopsided matches all the time. The thing with the STFU, in my opinion, is that It actually makes sense in a real-life sort of way. Cena has the biggest forearms in the WWE, so if there's anyone who should cause alot of pain with any cross-face type move, It would be him. He causes the submissions not because of technical skill, but because of pure strength. It would be like Mark Henry applying an abdominal stretch, a regular mid-match move for most, yes, but not If he does it. They'd be able to get away with saying that the guy tore his abdominal muscles from the move, even if he isn't a technical masterpiece. I've grown to accept the STFU. It isn't meant to show that he can do a submission, It's meant to show that he can make someone tap out with a move he isn't really that geat at applying, just because of raw strength and determination.

He has great facial expressions, and has proved that he can be really funny. He's too huggable to come across as this total asskicker like Austin. It just isn't working. Plus, he's not a very good wrestler.
