I know there is alot of hate toawrds Lashley. I don't like him at all but I don't want this to turn into a hate thread. I just want to know if people do like him and why?

Hate's a strong word for someone as bland as Lashley.

Hate's a strong word for someone as bland as Lashley. Yeah. Is there a word for "slightly annoyed but all in all, indifferent?"

I like Lashley, I think he has all the makings of a star.
However, I can understand the backlash caused by his "superpush." When he was on Smackdown in the US Title region of the card, many people on this board liked him, it is this quick jump to "stardom" that he was given that has made some turn on him.
Lashley has "the size." He has ability and strength. I think he should have someone to do his interviews, until he learns to make his voice work for him.
In honesty, I wish they would go a Waylon Mercy type way with him, polite and generous outside of the ring, but transforms into this heartless monster inside the ring.
However, I'm not going to hate him just because he is being elevated quickly. Eventually he will catch up to his spot. Should he be in this situation? No, but that doesn't mean he wasn't destined for it since his debut.
The old phrase is "Don't hate the player, hate the game" my suggestion is "Don't hate the wrestler, hate the push."

I guess not care about him should have been added to the poll.

I think Lashley has potential, but he does NOT deserve the ECW championship.

i voted no. I do not like any of the "stars" of wwe (Cena, Batista, or Lashley) for numerous reason. None of them seem to connect like a Rock, Austin, Foley, HBK or pretty much every big name star from a few years back

He has the potential in the ring, but he has the personality of a stump and the voice of an 8 year old. On Smackdown in the midcard he was perfect and I really really liked him. In this position watching him truck over everyone? No thanks.

He isn't as bad as say Great Khali, but the guy is a magnet of all the unintentionally funny things that is happening to him. From the script writings(bad promos like the bastard comment), Trump saying his name to Lindsey, his entrance and pryos, to his angry face look; it seems Lashley doesn't get a break

No I don't like Lashley. He was o.k on Smackdown with the U.S. title and all, but as soon as he won the ECW belt I just couldn't stand im anymore.

polite and generous outside of the ring, but transforms into this heartless monster inside the ring. That sounds like Batista. "Unleash the beast" and all that. We've got a guy who was over with rapping and he's got the Marine gimmick. We've got a marine but he's got the Lesnar gimmick. I don't think we'd be in this boat if they kept Cena as the rapper thug and gave Lashley the marine gimmick. He might actually be able to use his background to cut better, more confident promos.

I think Lashley's a bathturd.
Oh come on, it WAS going to be said eventually. I just got it out of the way for everyone. Go about your business.

The funny thing about Lashley is I was watching this old episode of Nitro and they had this guy "Pitbull" Sgt. Pittman. Basically he was what Lashley would have been with a milatary gimmick. Actually he was better and more technical and did this standing fujiwa armbar called "The Code Red"

People are slating him too soon and not giving him a chance just because he's the latest rookie babyface to get a big push. I think he has talented in the ring for a big guy and he looks the part of a main event wrestler. His biggest problem is promo ability but I think if he was paired with a manager/mouthpiece for a while to do half the talking for him he would probably gain enough experience to become compenant at them himself.
He has potential and I can understand why he is being pushed.

I don't dislike Lashley the person. He seems like a really nice guy and you like to see that rewarded. But unfortunately he really is boring. It's tough to get into a storyline when the person involved doesn't seem to emote one way or the other. It's not all his fault. The storylines themselves haven't exactly been exciting. But alot of other guys can work with that. Even Chris Benoit, the guy who was always compared to Hacksaw's 2X4, could usually get you into a storyline. Lashley doesn't seem to be able to.

I like him, but don't care for how he's being pushed.
