people arent going to stop watching wwe because edge, huricane and rey rey took roids. its not bonds. thats a sacred record. how many fans quit watching the nfl because sean merriman tested positive? he was a probowler. yeah it ruffled some feathers but thats all. there were no long term effects (other than the new probowl rule)

So every wrestling caught in this sting are all going to go with the "injury" excuse. I don't buy it. Well it just happens that the two that responded are the two that don't appear to take steroids for muscle building purposes anyway, so there's no real reason not to believe them. While I do tend to believe Helms and Edge, I disagree with your assumption that all steriods are used for muscle building purposes. A great deal of them are, yes. However, some are just so they would heal faster.

Really. Who's missing THAT one? I forget where exactly I read it, but I recall reading that Steiner would usually get a mysterious injury and miss the shows where testing was being done back in WCW

Well, I'll belive Helms, and really sincerely hope he's telling the truth, because he's one of my favorite wrestlers, and seems like a really great guy.

Ok, well, I've only been lifting for close to four months and I'm about the same size as Helms and I haven't touched crap.

Aw man, I was hoping Helms's response would simply be "WHAASUPWITDAT?!?!?" Didn't say it ONCE and I'm disappointed he didn't take the time to write that down. This is a mess. Is he lying, is he telling the truth? Will he break Babe Ruth's home run record....wait, wrong venue. I'm still on the fence here.

Your gonna tell me WWE doesnt have their own docs and these guys are forced to use these online pharmacies to fill their scripts? I smell BS Not everyone trusts the doctors that work for the company because the company could pressure them to do things not in the patient's best interest. It is illegal, but are you going to tell me nothing illegal has ever been done in WWE? Besides, after his steroid trial I'm willing to bet that Vince became gun shy of having any doctors on his payroll that might prescribe steroids for even legitimate reasons.

I think there are more important things in the world than a bunch of non-competitive performers taking steroids, legally or illegally. If they want to abuse their own bodies who are we to complain? It's the same thing as if an actor took steroids to bulk up for a role, the wrestling business is just as much based on look as it is ability, for every Mick Foley phsyique you'll likely have 10 Batista (not saying he's on roids) types make it. So, if they choose in their own adult minds to do something to help their look more than talent, let them.
And if it's to heel an injury, good for them, that's why we have modern medical science.

I can understand going after pro athletes for drug use, but wrestlers do use the drugs for cosmetic use and yes, they do in fact help injuries heal quicker. But Gregory did put on alot of size after he switched from the Hurricane.

If that really is your thinking then (god forbid) the next time a wrestler dies in his 30's, you have no right to say anything at all.

I never said it was right, I just said it was part of the business, it's sad but true. And actually, I have no remorse for drug addicts, since it's their choice to abuse themselves.

That may be, but when Eddie died, just about everyone and their mother came out and ripped into Vince and the WWE like they forced the steroids and painkillers on him at gunpoint. A hell of a lot of people complained then that nothing was done to prevent his death from happening. So when I see a report about a steroid sting, or hear someone has been suspended for taking them, I care. I dont want to see another person taken away way too early.

It is very sad when these men pass away. Especially Guerrero whom (reportedly, I'm not a corrinor) was clean for years, which I believe, since he learned from his risks. Plus, his death was more pain killer related, so I blame the doctors. In my mind, none of this is Vince McMahons fault, these are adults who choose to live their lifes with certain vices, wether it's Steroids, Booze, Cocaine or anything else. They know their risks and it's awful when they don't care about their fans and family and go along with these risks. Bruno did it with out drugs Foley did it without being dependant on pain killers and he went trough more than 90% of these guys. Backlund did it without drugs. If they can do it, anyone can. So, when they choose to do wrong, it's awful, but it's their choice. And i know that a terrible accident let to Guerrero's dependance, so him I feel sad for since it was a needed vice.
