- Dave Meltzer is reporting that the WWE has yanked The World's Greatest Tag Team and The Boogeyman from tomorrow night's Memphis Wrestling show at Sam's Town Casino in Tunica, MS. As a result of the Lawler-Hogan fall out, WWE talent will no longer be able to work for the Memphis promotion. Meltzer is also reporting that WWE didn't pull Jerry Lawler from the match with Hulk Hogan on 4/27 because of the VH-1 taping, but rather that Vince McMahon didn't want a high profile match taking place with Hogan.
The new wrestling war Hogan vs McMahon. This is funny that Vince has more anger towards a wrestler than a whole company(ie-TNA) and is taking his anger ona small promotion. God imagine if Hogan does do a promotion like he talked about? Man that could get really ugly and fast.

I think Vince McMahon runs his business life by a double standard. It's OK for him to bully other small promotions, right?
However, this time, and as much as I hate to do it, I have to stick up for Vinny. I think this whole thing has been blown out of proportion by guys like Dave Meltzer. Whom of which, we all know, is always right.
I can respect the fact that Vince wants to protect his company and his investments.

For some reason my mind's eye has created a picture of Vince dressed like Col. Klink going "HOOOOOOOOOGANNNN!!!!!"

This makes....no sense. Jerry Lawler is hardly an up and coming star or a main eventer for WWE. It's not like it was going to be Hogan beating Cena on PPV (but, god would I pay out the ass for THAT)

If Vince is sore at Hogan, I imagine he will take more pot shots at him, like create another Huckster? And would he try to get Warrior again as a response?

Vince's way of doing things seems very counter productive. Hogan doesn't seem to be saying anything negative about the company. If Vince would just keep quiet (in his voice and his actions) about their issues then people wouldn't even know about them. The issues would probably just go away. He compounds the problem.

Actually this is a case where I don't blame Vince McMahon. Why should he allow any of his people to participate in an event that is going to glorify the already over-inflated ego of somebody with whom he is now on the outs.
Hogan missed his ego fix at WM and probably took on this Memphis gig as a slap in the face to the WWE. If I owned the WWE I wouldn't let any of my people near it either.

He didn't have to; so it's okay for him to pull them off the shows, no matter what the reason.

It's smart business to not help the competition. Hogan is competition. Bottom line.

If you ever watch the Monday Night Wars DVD Vince says "my philosophy is help yourself not hurt your opponent & that wasn't their philosophy."

He didn't have to; so it's okay for him to pull them off the shows, no matter what the reason. OK. But Lawler is Memphis wrestling. And he works for Vince. Are you saying that if you were Vince, you wouldn't let Lawler promote or perform in Memphis wrestling shows that you did not promote?
