Matt Hardy will be World Champion in 2008. I just saw his Smackdown match. Wow. I know there was a thread about it with the video, and I posted that he could be a main event player. But the crowd was so into the match, I was so into that match.
But yeah, I just needed to say that.

Since when do quality of matches, or how much the crowd is into it determine who becomes champ?
But yes, this would be my dream.

Well, John Cena would be a good indication of the 'crowd getting into it' factor. So would Batista.
Not saying it'll happen because it has, but I personally would love to see Matt Hardy get a Main Event push.

Yeah he looks like Bret and was always the talented Hardy who wasn't out there breaking his neck for cheap spots. But I'm sorry, Matt has really ruined his credibility in my eyes by shooting darts at Lita's picture and calling Edge 'feces'.
I just can't take him seriously. Not matter how many tornado's he slaps.

Matt Hardy has everything to be a main eventer.
He can wrestle. He can talk (some of his promos recently haven't been the best, but a lot of his V1 stuff showed his speaking ability). He has charisma. He's in good shape. All ages and sexes seem to like him. He can get the crowd into all his matches. He has it all to be the next big thing in wrestlig.

Plus, Smackdown has almost no main eventers. It's like Edge and Batista and . . . no-one else. Realistically speaking, he's one of the few who could step up and carry the brand after its disastrous draft.

At this point I'll be happy with him getting a shot at all. I think he more than deserves it, and the crowd is pretty much telling WWE that they want him pushed up the card.
SO DO IT.

He's never even been giving a Mid-Card Title. He is so over but it seems the WWE just run with it & would rather give everything to Jeff.

I think they dropped the ball with Hardy. He needed a push in the Edge/Hardy feud. But they totally killed him in it. That propelled Edge to the ME scene, I just wish they gave Hardy the opposite babyface rub to Edge's heel heat.

I hope you are right. Matt over Edge for the belt would be like a dream come true.

It would feel sort of ironic, because during the original Hardy Boyz run, everyone talked about how Jeff was the true star of the two. Of course, everyone realised Matt was on par with Jeff if not better when Matt started his "Mattitude" character, leading to "We Want Matt" chants during Jeff Hardy matches, sort of as a response to the old "We Want Jeff" chants earlier in Matt's solo career.

Matt Hardy has been super over no matter what they put him through, sort of like Kane. I say do it.

When someone ends up making it to the main event level, they usually have that special moment of time where you just feel like "you know, now's the time to do it", and for Matt Hardy, that time is right now. As of last night, they have officially sold his charactor right, lets just hope they don't mess it up, or he dosen't loose momentum. Afterall, that's basically what happened to the Patriot.
I think you just have to sell a charactor right. John Cena is big, muscular, brawling with an attitude type guy, he really shouldn't be "overcoming the odds", he should just be out-right beating you. However, Matt Hardy, is perfect for the "overcomintg the odds" role, because it would be more believable. It was believable when Sylvester Stallone was overcoming the odds, so that's what they did and it worked. It wouldn't have worked if Arnold Schwartzeneger was "overcoming the odds", but they didn't do that, he was just kicking ass, and it worked.

Matt as always been the better all arounder of the two. Jeff Hardy is not that good on the mic. Take away his high flying spots. He got nothing. Plus Matt isn't as sloppy as Jeff is.
Matt Hardy I think deserves another chance. The only reason he was killed in his Edge feud was his bad promo he cut at teh begining of it. He deserves another chance.
After last night and hell for the last couple of months. Matt as really stepped up his in ring game and given several great matches.
I agree Matt Hardy time is now. He's over huge, He matches at top notch lately, and I bet he could cut a good promo if given another chance.
