Yeah, but do other businesses have 300 pound men crashing into each other on a nightly basis, and then cram all of their employees into tiny cars, have them drive 500 miles, and then do it all over again? There's a big difference between pro wrestling and real world business. You can't compare the two.
I don't know about you, but I don't run the risk of broken ribs, concussions, and getting dropped onto cement on a daily basis. The problem is that the WWE needs to start recognizing for themselves that yes, this is a physical sport, not just a business. Thats the whole root of the problem. If they can continue to say that they are just a business, then they can continue to operate as a normal business would, without regard for their employees.
An off season would work for the company if they would just take the time to sit and plan for it. You also have to be willing to take a bit of a hit the first time around, and then adjust for the status quo. They'd still make money, just not as much.....but its better than everyone dying off at the age of 45, or having problems.
