1. Bruno Sammartino # Of Reigns 2, Combined Days as Champ 4,040 2. Hulk Hogan # Of Reigns 6, Combined Days as Champ 2,185 3. Bob Backlund# Of Reigns 2, Combined Days as Champ 2,138 4. Pedro Morales # Of Reigns 1, Combined Days as Champ 1,027 5. John Cena # Of Reigns 3, Combined Days as Champ 700 Kind of amazing if you think about it and the number of days as Champ will only grow over the years unless he gives up Wrestling or something. I just wish the E would book him as an unstoppable kind of guy as opposed to the "overcoming the oddz" kind of guy, seems to make a lot more sense especially considering he and the belt seem to be welded together.

I'd like if they did that, too. I don't mind Cena as champ that much, since he has earned it, but at least aknowledge he wins so damn often.
I liked when he wrestled on ECW against Nitro, because Cena knew to play the role of the odds-on favoritem abd they portrayed it as such, so Nitro didn't look bad when he lost, but actually go up for putting up such a fight.

Erisi who'd Cena beat out for #5? I'm betting Triple H. you might not believe this but in reality HHH has hardly had the belt at all, over the 5 times he had it it only adds up to 260 days.

Holding the belt doesn't mean 1/100th what it meant when guys like Hogan, Bruno, Backlund and Pedro held it.
To even think Cena is up there with those guys is a flipping joke.

I think half of those were the WHC "created" championship, not the WWE lineage championship. right, my numbers are based on the WWF/E Championship, so some guys will have had belts for longer and more times like HHH who had other Championship belts. Counting the WHC HHH would have held a belt 10 times for 876 days, which I guess is kind of a lot. ;D

Then again, Trips has held the WHC a total of 616 days over the 5 reigns there. So overall, Trips has had a major belt for 876 days.

So if we put in the WHC then that makes Cena #6 Still pretty high up there.

As for overall reigns all time by the "major companies", Cena is currently 17th overall, still 3,900+ days behind Verne Gagne's all time record.
(Note: The "major companies" are the AWA, WCW, NWA, TNA, WWE, and ECW)
