Batista is beginning to go beyond X-Pac Heat for me. May have to coin a new term. Why cant they just turn Batista and keep Khali as a tweener as he should be.

You guys are being worked. "How dare they tarnish the good name of Wrestlecrap legend, Great Khali!!!"
It's a kayfabe, poorly written, cheesy article by some Hollywood reject.
Who cares?

WrestleCRAP Legend is right. And yes, it IS good that he gives some of his money back to his village, but it doesn't change the fact that he's a turd of a wrestler. I mean, David Arquette donated the money he made in WCW to several dead wrestler's families......but it still doesn't change the fact that I wouldn't want him to be a world champion of any wrestling company EVER EVER again. And Arquette was more proficient in the ring than Kahli is now....and that's REALLY sad.

This is all just another ploy to get Batista over in the most pathetically desperate way.

The writer of the WWE article is, by all means, an idiot. From wikipedia"The word "Punjab" is a combination of the Persian words 'panj' (پنج) Five, and 'āb' (آب) Water, giving the literal meaning of the Land of the Five Rivers. The five rivers after which Punjab is named are the Jhelum, the Chenab, the Ravi, the Beas and the Sutlej - all tributaries of the Indus River. Agriculture is the largest industry in Punjab. Others major industries include the manufacture of scientific instruments, electrical goods, financial services, machine tools, textiles, sewing machines, sports goods, starch, tourism, fertilizers, bicycles, garments, and the processing of pine oil and sugar. Punjab is considered to have the best infrastructure in India [1], this includes road, rail, air and river transport links that are extensive throughout the region. Punjab also has the lowest poverty rate in India at 6.16% (1999-2000 figures), and has won the best state performance award[2], based on statistical data compiled by the Indian Government." That sounds quite far off from the bleak, deserty place, where old villagers huddle round a single TV set

I get the feeling that this is somehow Michael Cole's fault.
But seriously good to see a guy giving something back, you would have thought with all the negative press WWE has been getting lately the would wanna capitalise on something like this.

I really don't care. It's kayfabe. You can tell me "kayfabe is dead" and I already know that. But hell, everyone knows movies and tv shows aren't real, either, but they still accept an actor who is a nice guy playing a villain. WWE is a tv show, with extensions into the internet and magazine world and stuff.

I don't get why it's such a problem they're trying to put Batista over? Batista is the face, and all the happy little merch buying kids love him.
And I agree with the fact that Khali being a nice guy doesn't make him good in ring. It's great what he's doing for his village, but I'm still not watching Smackdown until the belt is off him.

I never realized that Khali was such a genuinely good person. I mean, I figured he wasn't as evil as they show him on TV, but I didn't know he was sending money back home to help open schools. I guess you really can't judge a book by its cover. Well, I should qualify that I don't know precisely what the money is used for, all I've heard is that it goes to the development and improvement of his home village. They also handily overlook the fact that Khali was also a police officer in the Punjab State police.
