Agreed. But what is with the Shirt & Tie combo Shawn? Oh and whoever posted that video I blame you for the fact I just sat and watched Chris Master's debut because it was linked on the side, ugh. Well you're very welcome. That was the match he broke Stevie's orbital bone, correct? Correct!

This is one of my favourite promos of all time. He spoke the truth. HBK is out there every week and Hogan only does it when the money is right. His montreal promo is so much better than this promo though. Ah, the Bret Hart moment, that was absolutely beautiful.
"I screwed him once, and I'd screw him again." Perfect.

No one I've seen talks like that, at least not on here. DON'T STEEL MY SMILEY!!!!!! I honestly never get bored of people taking the p*** out of other message boards! I find it hilarious everytime! p.s. I'll be expecting a new monitor in the post?!

To be honest, I just found Shawn's attitude to be childishly unprofessional. The comments he made may have had more than a ring of truth to them, but they served absolutely no purpose from a business standpoint. Hogan was never going to return to answer the promo, neither was he going to return for a rematch. So all the promo did was allow HBK to vent some personal spleen, and deny us (the fans) a chance to see something more interesting.

"I screwed him once, and I'd screw him again." Perfect. Without the context, that statement sounds incredibly gay. Maybe Shawn is "bi a lot of things" too.

I didn't see this interview as a shoot on Hogan. Shawn was a heel at this point, which means he was supposed to come across as an arrogant, obnoxious asshole whom everyone hated. Him going back on his handshake and compliment of the night before is a classic heel booking, i.e. make the guy look good for one night, so he looks worse the next.

HBK is the best in ring - always has been - always will be. Hogan beating him was probably the worst thing I ever saw - plus I was there, but still. fixed for correctness. HBK gave it to him HBK is 10x better than hogan in ring and pretty good with charisma as well btw he is also the most controversial figure ever which only adds his greatness(HE KICKED STAN)

Him going back on his handshake and compliment of the night before is a classic heel booking, i.e. make the guy look good for one night, so he looks worse the next. But I've never seen any heels do that, usually if they lose a match they walk out after the match they don't stick around to shake the guys hand and make it look like they accepted it. And also Masters coming out at the end, kinda still made him a face. And yes HBK is better than Hogan in terms of doing a lot of moves in the ring, but again it bears repeating, Hogan was over to the point where he didn't have to wrestle a 60 minute match or do chain-wrestling to please the smarks.

Shawn, Triple H, and Hogan are all equally dickish. The difference is that Hogan is smarter than both of them. Triple H is nowhere in their league in that respect. He's got aways to go before he can reach their level of politics. Gotta love that right after that feud HBK goes in a feud with Masters, and dominates Masters. Masters can beat damn near everyone else with the Masterlock, but HBK is in the Masterlock forever, after getting beat down, and forces Masters to break the hold. Shawn couldn't even do the job for Masters. And after the Triple H injury, on an episode of Raw, a beaten down, bloodied Shawn Michaels owned Rated RKO by himself. That was just ridiculous. But back to the match at hand, I've got no problem with Hogan winning. The following year at SummerSlam that's another story.

There is no reason in hell Hogan should have won that match. Aside from the fact that a good portion of the casual fanbase wanted and paid to see Hogan win, of course.

The last time I watched the match, it sounded pretty even for both men. And both men were basically pointing fingers at each other over who was the bigger bastard, there wasn't really one person you were "supposed" to boo or cheer. It was up to the fans to decided who was the lesser of two evils. If that fued wasn't catering to the smarks (or just the IWC in total) then I don't know what was.
