Nashville, Tenn., (April 25, 2007) – Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling is coming home to where it all started after changing the world of professional wrestling forever. TNA Wrestling announced today that “Slammiversary 2007” will be held live at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville on June 17, airing exclusively on pay per view. TNA will celebrate its five-year anniversary by returning to Nashville for the first time since 2004. TNA began broadcasting its weekly Pay-Per-Views in 2002 from the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, affectionately named the “Asylum” by TNA fans. In 2004, TNA moved production for its weekly cable television show, “iMPACT!” and monthly Pay-Per-Views to Universal Studios Orlando. “The TNA brand has grown to a worldwide entity in five years, but the fans of Nashville and Middle Tennessee helped make us what we are today. We’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone with such an exciting event in front of our hometown fans,” TNA President Dixie Carter said. TNA officials have also confirmed that the June weekend in Nashville will include an all-access chance to meet the stars of TNA at “TNA Fan Interaction," which puts the stars of TNA up close and personal with the fans for a once in a lifetime meet-and-greet opportunity. Tickets for “Slammiversary” will go on sale Saturday, May 19, at the Municipal Auditorium Box Office (417 4th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37201), all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (615) 255-9600. Several TNA stars will be in Nashville for the on-sale event. Full details will be available at www.TNAWrestling.com. My predictions:
King of the Mountain for the TNA Title: Christian vs. Angle vs. Sting vs. Joe vs. A.J. Styles
TNA Tag Team Title: Steiner Bros vs. Team 3-D
X Division Title Match (or if not then a tag match between these four): Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley vs. Bob Backlund vs. Jerry Lynn
Jeff Jarrett and Eric Young vs. Robert Roode and Miss Brooks
Falls Count Anywhere: VKM vs. Basham and Damaja
Full Metal Mayhem: Rhino vs. Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels
Abyss returns (unmasked) for the first time since he was beat down on iMPACT! to face Tomko.
---------- I just realized while typing this out that TNA has a lot of "Chris"s.

I thought the concept of the KOTM was kinda cool, but the Penalty Box seems a bit hinkey and then there's the fact this is the second year in a row the KOTM has dealt with "screwjob" title changes.

Id love to see Joe as the first TNA Champ. Christian and Angle would be fine too I guess. The belt looks awesome from what i can tell out of those iMPACT pics.

I think KOTM should be --> Get a pinfall then you can GRAB the title instead of putting it up. O and keep the penalty box.

This year someone should hang the title up and suddenly the belt raises higher and higher. Turns out that a new character named The Fisherman is waiting in the rafters and steals the belt.

there's the fact this is the second year in a row the KOTM has dealt with "screwjob" title changes. Minor correction: last year KOTM was a screwjob title change. This year it is resolving a messed up (vacant) title situation. It's like the exact opposite situation, except this time around who the rightful champion is unclear due to a confusing finish with multiple refs -- not a crooked referee paid off by a heel.

Question: So the persont that wins this is the first TNA champion? They won't be counting from 2002-up as part of the Championships history?
Either way, I hope Christian Cage wins.

I am perfectly aware of the circumstances of both right now, fact remains the match is either resolving a messed up title situation or revolving around one.

I would want Joe to win KOTM but I know it's gonna be Angle or Jarrett.

Honestly, I thought Joe's time was Bound For Glory.
I hope they don't pass him over AGAIN and he becomes the new Monty Brown.

Honestly, I thought Joe's time was Bound For Glory. I hope they don't pass him over AGAIN and he becomes the new Monty Brown. The difference between Monty Brown and Samoa Joe is that Samoa Joe is already a good wrestler & Joe listens to TNA management. Monty was good on the mic, but he was very lacking in long matches. TNA told him to get in some indy shows and wrestle, but he didn't want to, since he was more interested in his gym.
