Didn't TNA put a splash page on their website a while back that basically said that Jericho would be heading their way?
Wasn't the end result a Fozzy music video?

Sting:Return of an Icon" was the most anticipated DVD in TNA's history.
It might have been the most 'anticipated' DVD but it wasn't the highest selling DVD. That was Unstoppable: The Best of Samoa Joe.
-The X-division Title is equal to the NWA(now TNA) World heavywieght title.
It most definately was for the majority of TNA. Once Joe started feuding with Scott Steiner last year, while still holding the belt, that effectively killed the division. I saw Joe live wrestle Abyss and Rhino in a three way match with the X belt.
-Billy Gunn was a huge star and everyone was excited to see him come to TNA
DING DING DING! We have a winner!!!
-the WWE was pissed off and felt threatened by VKM's actions, and VKM came out on top by proving TNA was better.....(Don't ask me. They said it)
I thought it was bull too, but with WWE opposing the trademark, this stupidest of all gimmiks HAS now succeeded in provoking a reaction.
And guys, Abyss is 6' 5" I have a picture taken with him and my friend who is 6' 8" and my friend is clearly three inches taller.
There are exaggerating by three inches. Not a big deal. That's about the same as Kevin Nash who is 6' 11" and got billed at 7' 2".

A lot of posters beat me to it, but everything Don West says.
"HE JUST KILLED THEM ALL WITH THAT BAT!" -Impact, two (?) weeks ago "THIS IS HOW TIME TRAVEL IS POSSIBLE!" - Victory Road, after Kazarian does the Flux Capacitator (I think, I'm not a huge Kaz mark)
Funny thing is, all this being said, I'm really looking forward to Impact tonight. Go figure.

WWE is now opposing the "VKM" trademark filed by TNA.
It's funny because when TNA started with this stupid gimmick EVERYBODY said, "They're just trying to provoke a response from WWE to make it look like the two companies are on an even playing field. WWE will never acknowledge them, they're too smart."
And now they have. I guess WWE were waiting until the wrestler's contracts were coming up to do this. Perhaps WWE is planning to hire them back with the name? They aren't resigning with TNA (thankfully).

"HE JUST KILLED THEM ALL WITH THAT BAT!" -Impact, two (?) weeks ago When he merely jabs them in the chest with the handle. I really hate when Sting uses the bat.

So in other words they're opposing a trademark that isn't going to mean jack as soon as their contracts are up. I don't know if you're trying to spin this into a victory for TNA cause i don't think there's any real way you can. If you're not, then my mistake.

I called the gimmick 'stupid' both times I referred to it. I think it's funny that WWE legal would waste time and money opposing a trademark to the worst gimmick TNA has done in their five years.

True. But then again maybe they're just doing it in case TNA wakes up and realizes "ya know, we should've done this with a younger team" But yeah it is a bit out there.

Just to add to the trademark talk: TNA still has the trademark for Prince Of Punk for the two months Shannon Moore was there, and they refuse to give it up.
One that annoyed me in 2005 was that every month they had the "biggest free agent signing in TNA history"
