I bet that they'll make some kind of announcement on ECW tonight. They can't leave non-Internet fans in the dark.

So they couldn't even let him job the title; he had to be stripped. Oh well, that aside, this does all suck. Now how many of you will order No Mercy just to see what happens? I'm tempted, but I think I'll just stick to an online stream of it instead. Ditto.

this is a sucky way for the title reign and for him to go out in the middle of a huge storyline.
hmm so he'll be back in time for Wrestlemania, if that's any form of good news.
i'd still like to see Cena/Batista at 24

I didnt want him to lose the title this way.

orton vs kennedy is probably the most likely option, no matter what they do unless they cut the jericho return short and hotshot him to the title it won't be good because they have no time to build up any sort of feud with no more raws.

If WWE did sign Jericho and he's the whole thing behind the save_us.222 and soforth, having him come back at NM wouldn't be a bad thing at all, what with all the references of October 7 in the video.
Picture if you will, Vince standing mid-ring holding the title. He announces a gauntlet match for the vacant title. HHH starts(because of the feud) against Umaga. They are so heated from the earlier match and their fighting that they get counted out. From there..oh, let's say Vince introduces Kennedy and Jeff Hardy. Jeff gets the nod. Finally Orton comes out and wins what he thinks is the final part.
Lights go out. The save_us video plays..out walks Jericho. Walls. Tap. New Champ.
1: It'd give serious credibility to the videos. 2: It'd give CJ a main event program from the rip. 3: And if Jericho(Read: creative) can keep the title around his waist for 8 months, CJ can do a heel turn heading into WM to fight the man who took him out of WWE 2 years ago AND Cena can try to reclaim the title that he never truly lost.

I'm strongly considering going to my friends house to see it. Even though as a rule, I don't go to his for PPV's when I have school the next day.

I posted this in the other thread before the lock (sorry, I'm really unobservant):
I'm not a huge Cena fan, but I respect the guy a lot. Hopefully, he won't push it and will make a full recovery.
I guess the best option now would be to have No Mercy start with an open battle royal to determine who will face Orton for the vacated title.
The question is which direction would they take it? Would you choose a Raw mid-card face (Hardy, Rhodes) to job to Orton, or would you import a face from Smackdown (Taker?) to defeat Orton and fill the major void Cena will leave.
Decisions, decisions...

Well that really stinks.
Hopefully he'll recover well and come back to a nice return pop.

This is good for a number of reasons. First off, yes, he is getting rest and hopefully (though not likely) he will come back improved and exciting again. Second, his vice like grip on the title has been boring as all get out, that title needs to change hands. Third, this forces creative to come up with a new star or stars to fill the void left by their cash cow of the past year and a half. Injuries are never good, but if this is what it took to get the title to somebody new and retool Cena's gimmick, then so be it. As The Radicalz catchphrase went...The End Justifies the Means.

Can Orton at least get the title now? Don't see why not, maybe they'll re-enact 2004 all over again for those who missed it.

A terrible way for his title reign to end. Like it or not, having him as champ for so long gave a sense of great credibility to the belt.
I'm no great fan, but I respect the guy a lot. I wish him a speedy and full recovery. I actually think when he returns will be very huge.
So who to become WWE Champ. Orton or HHH? Or do they draft someone over?
Give it to Kane!

This is HUGE! I don't know what they are going to do. I hope they save some surprise for the PPV as far as WHO faces Orton. I wish they would have said that Orton took Cena out and injured him forcing him to drop the title, rather than reporting the truth. For kayfabe reasons.
