I'd have to say its the entire Benoit situation, between coming home and finding out he was killed (Which sent me into a fit of tears and rage that saw me punch my wall until my hands were a bloody mess), then suffering through the tribute RAW and then finding the headline on WWE.com at 11 PM "MURDER SUICIDE". Same here. I had heard nothing of it, had just tuned in to expect to see something on the McMahon limo explosion...and saw the graphic. I literally screamed NO! when I saw it. I was a wreck for the next week. When I had talked to HBKitty, she was the first one who had told me it could have been a murder/suicide. I'm still trying to get over the whole thing. i'm sorry, i'm not trying to be down on anyone, but you guys really need to learn to put things in life into some kind of perspective.

This is off the beaten path, but... I was shocked out of my mind when, after Brock Lesnar superplexed the Big Show off the top rope, the SmackDown ring just collapsed. I had never seen anything like that before in wrestling, ever... ever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K30gm2OFhYThat is still one of my favorite spots of all-time. Listen to that crowd! I'd be amazed (Save_us) if I ever heard a crowd react like that again. (.222)

I think the only time I have truly been shocked was the Benoit thing. I hadnt been on a cpu all day, so I had no clue what was goin on other than the fact he left the show for personal reasons. I didnt watch Raw that night because I was at my fiancess and she hates it. My dad sent me a text saying Benoit, wife and kid were found dead. My jaw litterally dropped. Then, more info came out, and it was all surreal.

When Morrison won the belt. I was shocked and angry as hell. Yeah, I was watching live and wasn't online all day before the PPV so when Morrison came out in place of Benoit, my jaw dropped. I was like, "WTF"!?! I was in a stupor for a few moments but was like, "ok... they just gave away the ending to this match, I mean come on... it's Johnny freaking NITRO!!!" Then, my annoyance at the match having what I thought was such an obvious outcome(CM Punk winning), well it turned to shock followed by confusion. Did I just see that?, I wondered. I could not have been more let down. I was definitely shocked for the first time in quite a while.

Godz, either you're heavily exaggerating or you made the whole thing up. In the last two years, both of my great grandparents have died, whom I've known for years and years and I wasn't punching the wall in a "rage". Hey I've been watching Benoit for a good dozen years.Even when I gave up on wrestling I still made the effort to watch his old matches, and when he died, I was as shocked as the next person, but never in my right mind would I be bloodying my hands over a man I've never met, never saw, never known. Get a grip.

I remember Stone Cold pretending to turn heel, wearing a suit and stuff, I think I cried. Damn, I loved Stone Cold when I was a kid. Whenever he actually did turn heel, I don't think I was really watching wrestling.
Hall and Nash invading Nitro.
Hogan turning heel (I remember I begged my mom to let me order this PPV because I wanted to know the mystery partner, and damn, I got my money's worth!)
The Benoit murder/suicide was pretty shocking. Eddie Guerrerro's death, I didn't see it coming.
Owen Hart's death.
Sid Vicious' leg break!

Jim Ross announcing the death of Owen Hart. We all knew that something bad had occured, but it was still shocking to hear that he had passed. Agreed.

Aside from the things already mentioned (couldn't believe we got page 5 until someone mentioning Brock/Big Show breaking the ring), one of my most shocking moments was a Mark Henry match. I've looked online for it, but can't find it so I'm starting to doubt it happened the way I remember, but I recall Mark Henry being on the ground on the outside of the ring with a smaller guy (of course smaller to Henry, I mean smaller compared to an average sized wrestler) who he THREW into the ring, over the top rope! Again, It's been so long and can't find a video of it, but this is what I recall happening, anyone else remember it or am I not remembering this correctly?

Finding out on PPV that Owen died Finding out on Raw that Benoit and his family died Nothing could possibly top those 2, and I pray nothing does. Completely seconded, especially the second when me and my friend were joking about the McMahon death angle and how ridiculous it was, when one of our friends called us and told us about it. Now, we were aware that he had missed Vengeance due to a family emergency, but we didn't believe him. Flat out didn't believe him. So naturally we had to look it up for ourselves. And then, the next day...

New RAW GM. While Booker is doing an interview he suddenly stops and looks crazy confused, just before the camera panned out to ERIC FRIGGN BISCHOFF....
I seriously couldn't believe it.

I'll go on record in saying that wrestling storylines really can't shock me anymore. When a storyline is so out there I just find myself laughing at the whole thing. With that said I have been shocked by the outcomes of some matches like Matt Hardy vs Edge 2005, I wasn't expecting that to be a squash, and I was shocked and mad as hell when Punk was the first one eliminated in the EEC match at December to Dismember. The last time I was shocked though was from the week from hell(The week of Benoit's death).
I have been shocked from the deaths of Eddie and Owen, but those deaths never got to me like Benoit's death did. It's hard to explain why someone that I have never met personally but I had looked up to had such an impact on my life after his death. I remember that Sunday of the Vengeance PPV when I woke up that morning I had this horrible knot in my stomach and I had no idea why, so pretty much that whole day I was bitchy. I didn't go on the internet that day so when I went to BW3s to watch the PPV I remember when Punk came out and he was frowning and it's like his facial expressions give away the outcome of that match, but I didn't think he would be so upset to lose to Benoit and then Johnny Nitro came out because Benoit wasn't there and I was upset that Benoit wasn't there but I was happy because I knew that Punk would win because as I remember telling this one guy at my table "It's the most logical outcome" I learned never to use logic and WWE in the same sentence ever again. So when Nitro won I was shocked because I felt that totally came out of left field and made zero sense to me at the time and I was pissed off because I felt Punk would never be used correctly. Not to mention that I was already having a crappy day because my boyfriend at the time kept on flirting with every girl in BW3s and the guy I told about Punk winning being the only logical outcome "accidently" poured Beer all over my CM Punk T-shirt and I am a tee-totaler so I didn't like that one bit. So I ended up walking out.
So I decided to boycott WWE programming until Punk was finally used correctly, so I am at work and I come home and my dad tells me that one of my friend's wants to know about Benoit. I told my dad that he wasn't at the PPV because of a family emergency, but I called him anyway and he was like "did you watch Raw" and I will remember this conversation and that day for the rest of my life and I remember saying "I am so pissed that Nitro won the ECW belt that I am boycotting the WWE until Punk gets used correctly" My friend Rodney was stunned and then told me that Benoit and his family were found dead in their home and that Raw was a tribute show for Benoit and I remember being shocked at the news and then I felt guilty because I am a loyal person, I am loyal to my friends, I am loyal to my family and yes I am loyal to wrestling and I felt guilty because I said that about Punk which once I found out about the news meant nothing and I started crying.
I imediately thought that they were murdered or that there was a gas leak or something at their house which caused their death. When I went to wwe.com and saw the headline Murder-Suicide, I immediately thought that Nancy killed their son and Benoit and then herself because I couldn't fathom a hero of mine being a murderer. Yet after finding out that Benoit did it and going through all of those different emotions, I was a wreck. For like 2 months I was in this deep depression and I changed as a wrestling fan, and as a person. I really started to wonder about human behavior, what makes a person do what they do, I even was able to draw parallels to the Benoit situation with the prescription drugs with a family member of mine and like I said it's hard to explain why someone's death that I did not know got to me the way it did. I am not the same person I was 6 months ago (Not entirely due to the Benoit situation, there were other horrible factors in my personal life as well but the Benoit situation made me open my eyes to certain things)
Well I know that was long, but it was something I needed to say for a long time.

-Matt Hardy's music playing during the Edge-Lita wedding I fell out of my chair I put up my V1 symbol with my hand big smile on my face I called one of my buddies and then... it was all a hoax. Hands down the most shocking moment! I didn't hate anyone more then Edge on that moment!

This might sound kind of lame but as a kid . . the Undertaker locking The Ultimate Warrior in a casket freaked me the hell out With that being said the snake bite moments is one of my favorite wrestling moments ever. Lame nothing, that was freaky as heck. Bothered me about as much as "Macho Man" smashing Ricky Steamboat's throat.
