That's actually not true, because for any other PPV Benoit mentions are gone, and he was erased from several VD's

It's not like it was added after the fact. It's just a page they either forgot to delete or they felt was so minor that it wasn't worth it.

Nah, they haven't changed anything.
When all of this happened, I was looking around WWE.com for any sort of Benoit mention. These are the pages I found then.

Benoit silences MVP... so wrong on so many levels Well in today's standards it is, but back then it was ok. I'm referring to 6 months ago as "back then", dude do I feel old.

You act like it's a sin to mention Benoit. Yea what he did was bad but I still don't see how that should change the fact of what happened in his PPV matches. It shouldn't be erased from history.

I honestly think he'll be mentioned again someday when (or should I say...if) the controversy dies down.

Killing is badong. And I will stand for the opposite of killing; gnodab. "BAD?" What are we, eight? He didn't sneak cookies before dinner, he f***ing murdered his wife and child. And I know, I know, I loved the guy, too. I did, but, if I owned a billion-dollar company, I'd maybe want to pick a guy who has never killed two people and then himself to represent me.

I don't care if the the controversy ever dies down; WWE would be stupid to ever bring up Benoit again besides acknowledging him in title histories and such.

I figured you'd figure out that I meant that but apparently I need to type it like this: HORRIBLE F***ING AWFUL.... for you to understand. I apparently sugarcoated the "bad." I do agree though that they shouldn't mention him unless it's stats for a past title match or something. He shouldn't get into the HOF or get any rewards or celebrated though no matter what.

Like I said, acknowledge his existence only when you have no other choice. I don''t know about you, but I don't really enjoy his matches anymore.

This is what I meant by only mentioning him for past title match stats. Thank you for putting that in clear wording for me lol. But yea I can't enjoy his matches as much as I used to.

While what Benoit did is unspeakable, we can't forget his place in the history of the sport of wrestling. He had many great matches and I can't pretend that those matches never happened. Forgetting his career also causes us to ignore Nancy's long and successful career. Their careers are in some ways interconnected and we can't change that. Also, I won't say that no one won the World title at WWXX. The match did actually have a winner and it wasn't thin air. And Eddie didn't hug thin air at the end of the show. Come on, even OJ gets to be remembered as a football player despite the widely accepted belief that he did kill his ex-wife and a waiter (although he was found not guilty in court).

Wow... I never tire of this debate!
Yes, it was unspeakable. What happened left an stain on his career that is irremovable. Blah blah blah, we all understand that! But is it too much to ask that WWE at least be able to mention his name when it is necessary? Or are we to stand idly by and allow his entire career to be white-washed from history because he did the horrible deeds that one fateful weekend? And, if we do that, what's to stop WWE from expanding upon that precedence?
