Given the quality level of many of his episodes as showrunner, "contribution" might be an overstatement.

I don't know why Ava or HBK don't do anything about the mafia kidnapping and/or murdering people. Ava exudes "oh yeah, she was there too" energy. What's she gonna do?

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} That was my first thought, though really I feel that Colossus had more compelling reasons. If he'd been in the show at all yeah, but you need it to be someone on this team. I should have specified that I was talking about the comics version of him.

Since we're revisiting... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Fatal Attractions ... Does that make Rogue into Colossus? {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}As far as turning heel goes of course. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} That was my first thought, though really I feel that Colossus had more compelling reasons.

Here's the thing, Spider-man 3 could have been Sandman, wrap up the Harry story and at the end Peter gets the symbiote. Spider-man 4 is dealing with the suit/Venom. THIS. A thousand times over. Kind of like how Green Lantern shouldn't have had and defeated Parallax in one movie. And that's just one thing wrong with that film, of course. TDK Trilogy of all things should have been this too. Defeat Joker in TDK, devote what would be TDK Rises to Two-Face. End the trilogy with what happened at the end of TDK, have viewers assume there'll always be a Gotham where there's a Batman, only he's not everyone's "friend" and it has to be that way to save Harvey Dent's memory and etc. Ambiguous, bittersweet ending seems on brand. Plus Two-Face: too cool to waste on the last half hour of a movie only. I framed out the Raimi timeline thusly: SM3 goes as it goes...mostly. Except somehow the symbiote causes Peter to go over the line with Sandman or Harry, leading to it ending on Peter getting rid of it. Have a Venom tease at the end, and presto! SM4 = Spidey vs. Venom! Maybe Sandy can play the Rhino role from TAS' version of the symbiote story, a big bad that Black Costume Spidey has to go through, for reasons. Still not convinced they should have Joker'ed his origin and made him have a connection with Uncle Ben's death. Harry can be the Shocker, the fight where Spidey realizes he's going too far. Maybe it leads them to reconcile too somehow. And FGS, please give Harry something better than the X-Treme Sports Goblin, er, New Goblin. That was cringe even in the 2000s when X-Treme was still a thing. General Raimi comments: When it was good, it was good. Not all of it holds up perfectly, even the good chapters. It took Andrew Garfield for the live action to get the quipping Spider-Man right, IMO. In Raimi, Peter and Peter's life supplies most of the comedy. If you added a bit of their MCU Proper appearances into the older movies, I'd be a fan of that. Funny enough, in the videogame based on the first Raimi movie there are quips galore.

I remember going to a Smackdown in Toronto about 6 years ago and I was surprised by how pricy it was. As much as I'd love to take in another show, I don't think I can justify what they'd be charging now. It sucks seeing Scotland get hosed like this.

The problem is, there are two good movie in that one bad movie. It tried to do a lot of things and failed at all of them.
Sandman, awesome start, compelling back story. Next time we see him, he's randomly rampaging in New York City because reasons. Then at the end suddenly he's all, I didn't wanna be a bad guy. Well then why the hell were you doing all those terrible things just now and throughout the movie?
Harry gets himself disfigured and then the butler decides, y'know, maybe I should tell him the truth about this vendetta he's been pursuing all these years.
Sam Raimi had no interest in doing Venom and it really showed.
Here's the thing, Spider-man 3 could have been Sandman, wrap up the Harry story and at the end Peter gets the symbiote. Spider-man 4 is dealing with the suit/Venom.
The problem was, no one was committing to a fourth movie, Marvel was pushing for Venom, Raimi wanted Sandman and then there was that dangling Harry plotline.
Sandman in this movie was basically missing several key scenes to see why he would go from a father who just wants to care for his daughter to a supervillain terrorizing the city. Instead he got no development beyond his opening scene.
The movie tried to do too much and was a mess as a result. Emo dancing in the street Peter was just bad. I get that he was supposed to be showing he felt more confident but that, that was just bad.

The problem with New Day is that they've lost that Big E feeling, whoa oh, that Big E feeling. They've lost that Big E feelin', now it's gone...gone...gone, whoa oh oh oh.

Another one for me is Pumped Up Kicks Yeah if I remember even the band was kinda like, really? We have tons of upbeat songs but this is the one. I remember hearing it in the mall.

Okay, so I'm not the only one where Semi-charmed life just kinda flew over their heads until the last couple years. Now when it plays and I hear the lyrics, I wonder how many songs I've heard where I just didn't really listen to them.

I have enjoyed some of their covers a lot more than others, but I would say I'm a fan. Yeah pretty much this. They do some that I love and others are just enh. I check them out from time to time.

Nah, we just finished a title run that went about 3 years too long. Plus they really need to move away from Wrestlemania being the only show where anything of consequence happens.

With the end of an era, my one regret is that we didn’t get at least a brief return to heel Jerry Lawler. He was just so damn good at it and was at his wittiest and funniest when he could play the heel. So I figure it could be fun to speculate-what would heel Jerry Lawler have to say about today’s WWE (beyond ranting about puppies mind you)? Heel Jerry Lawler was terrible the first time around. Don't you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby!
(puppies and blatantly kissing the ass of heels were his entire personality. Remove puppies and you remove 2/3 of him)

I am enjoying Ruby and her interactions with the doctor. I wasn't completely sure about the doctor sporting a moustache as I don't like most moustaches, but he makes it work.

People seem to be disappointed Tama can't do the Gun Stun. But with both Cody and Randy on the same roster, there was zero chance he would be able to use the move. But it's totally different from the diamond cutter rko. He's turned 90 degrees.
Thanks for the gif though, I had no clue what people were referencing.

Aragorn's search for Gollun is rather unremarkable. He didn't have any issue tracking him until finding him in The Dead Marshes, and despite taking over a month to bring him to Mirkwood and Gandalf, had no issues delivering him.
Hard to make a two hour or more movie out of that. Maybe Gollum's interrogation scene with Sauron you could add but that's about it.
Keep in mind, these are the people who turned the hobbit into a trilogy.

This same show gave 5 episodes to the Phoenix saga and 4 episodes to the dark Phoenix saga.in the same amount of time, X-men '97 has blazed through something like 7 major storylines. Not totally the same, of course. Different times too. I get that it's different times, but the show is a direct sequel to that. They have also rushed some important storylines. I'm not saying everything needed 4-5 episodes, but there were several stories that needed more breathing room this season and rushing past them did them a disservice. Hell, Storm in the span of about 10 minutes of screen time apparently meets Forge, falls in love, fights the adversary and gets her powers back. Madelynne Pryor and Inferno got half an episode. Things are moving at a clip and I have generally enjoyed the season. However, if I as a major comics fan, particularly of the X-men am getting dizzy trying to keep up sometimes, I can only imagine how it's going for the uninitiated.

I wasn't watching when Evolution were around, but I am genuinely surprised to hear he had limits. In the attitude era he was such a sychophantic suck up that even swifties would probably tell him to dial it back a notch. I suspect he was told to pull back in ruthless aggression because during the attitude era, he really was the "puppies" guy. Agree to disagree with the last sentence. Yes he perved it up with the ladies on commentary then. No denying that. But he was also a Vince/corporation shill and sided with all the heels. In ruthless agression, some of his limits included HHH's post match attack on HBK at Summerslam 2002. He always defended JR in everything, even competing in matches just for the sake of supporting him. But in an era where people swore he was damaged goods, I find some of his best work to be his first night back after his hiatus the RAW after survivor series 2001 and the original Rock concert. But don't get me wrong. PG era Lawler without JR wasn't any good. I was agreeing with you about the Vince/corporation shill and siding with heels. That's what I meant when I said "sychophantic suckup". The dude never met a heel whose ass he didn't want to kiss and he worshipped the ground they walked on. He's probably a big part of why I usually can't stand heel/colour commentators. Still, when I think back to the attitude era my head immediately rings with 'PUPPIES JR PUPPIES". The rest takes a minute to remember. That's why to me he is forever the puppies guy. It runs roughshod over everything else including his asinine buttkissing.
