I went to school for radio production and am a producer, so I consider myself a career man. 24 years old, and currently very happy with my career track at the moment.

For what its worth, Wright is almost a full point ahead of McCutchen when it comes to WAR (4.8 to 4.0). Wright leads the majors in the category, just above Votto and Trout (4.7 each). Both are complete studs though, so whatever. Also for what it's worth, Andrew McCutchen leads the league in Offensive WAR with 4.4. He also plays the much tougher defensive position in CF. His OPS+ is 179, which is right on-par with Wright. (180) I am not arguing that McCutchen is outright better than Wright, but Wright also is definitely not better than McCutchen.

Haha. I like how you tried to prove some point about David Wright having a better season, but then the stats proved you wrong. I find that very amusing. This isn't some debate on who's better Wright or McCutchen. Both are MVPs of their respective teams. Right now McCutchen is having a slightly better season, but it isn't by much. Both are great. If trends continue, both will be in the MVP talks by the end of the season. Also can't ignore the fact that McCutchen is on-pase for a 30/30 season. 16HRs/14steals/54RBIs is nothing to scoff at. Both players are playing at an extremely high level right now. yes they both are having great seasons and i find it amusing myself that i proved myself wrong but things like that happen sometimes No shame in it, dude. Let's just enjoy our players' amazing seasons. Both are incredibly fun to watch.

Ah yes, one game is really what determines who's better. Let's ignore McCutchens unreal month of June. Or the previous 3 games against the Astros. Haha. Come on dude. David Wright is having a great season, and so is Andrew McCutchen. lets see who's having the better year avg/obp/ops david wright 3.50/.441/1.000 Andrew Mccutchen .356/.410/1.013 so mccutchen is having the better year but like always stats can always get changed due to one bad game or one good game so june definatly helped mccutchen out while Wright started to cool down a little in june and has started to get hot again Haha. David Wright > your favorite baseball player right now. Not if your favorite baseball player is Andrew McCutchen.

I don't own a fleshlight, but any time people seem to get grossed out by the concept, I verbatim quote my favorite line from Zack and Miri Make a Porno.
"How come you get to be all Buck Rogers, having sex in the 25th century with Twiki and Dr. Theopolis, and I'm stuck to a bottle of Jergen's in the batroom?"

Still consider these the best jerseys in Penguins history. Wish they'd go back to this version of black and gold. I strongly prefer it to the Vegas gold.

Am I the only one who finds it ridiculous that Chipper is on the ballot? I do as well. He should be automatically in. In fact, there should be one guy every year in both leagues who gets in based on being the old guy everyone wants to honor. "Commissioners Pick" or something like that. Make them the Team Captain. I hate the Braves more than any other team in baseball. (Never forget 1992) but Chipper should be in the ASG. It's his last season and he's a sure fire hall of famer. He deserves to go out an all-star. If Willie Mays can be an all-star in 1973 with a .168 average, then Chipper can be there this season.

Are there any Rockies fans around here? I was wondering what their fans think of this new "starters can only throw 75 pitches and pitch every 4 days" deal. It doesn't seem to be working. Watching them face the Cards tonight I felt kinda bad for Colorado. For instance, Kyle Lohse had a really good at bat fouling off a lot of pitches. I think it ended up being a 12 pitch at bat. I was thinking "the pitcher just used up 1/6th of his pitches on one at bat by the opposing pitcher. With a strict pitch count like that it seems to me it is just adding more unneeded pressure on the starters. According to the stats they showed on the Cards' broadcast the team's ERA is basically exactly the same as a before they started doing this, something like 6.40 for their starters and 4.70 for their relievers. Obviously not a Rockies fan, nor have any ill will towards them, but that really sounds like something Jim Tracy would do. I have a lot of problems with him as a manager, for obvious reasons. Seems like such a moronic way to run a pitching staff though. That is Low-A philosophy, not something done at the Major League level.

Dejan Kovacevic (A Pittsburgh sports writer): "Just spoke with high-ranking #Pirates official, and I can tell you this: It will NOT be long before Starling Marte is in Pittsburgh. "It's time," the official said without specifics. In the same convo, it came about that Jose Tabata had better get his act together immediately or he's headed for the minors. The team is -- and should be -- livid with his lackluster effort. Sounds to me like an easy one-for-one switch."
Starling Marte getting called up...same outfield as Andrew McCutchen.
MY BODY IS READY!!!!!!!!

Carlos Lee wants to stay with the Astros because he owns a ranch in southern Texas. So basically he'd rather play for a second-division team and raise cattle than actually have a shot at the playoffs, or at least getting prospects for a team that desperately needs them. You have to respect the loyalty to the organization. Athletes are criticized every day for switching teams and showing no loyalty. I respect that Lee wants to remain an Astro for the durration of his career.

Let me put it to you this way: Only two guys in the NL have blown me away this season- Dickey and Beltran. Nobody seems to talk about Andrew McCutchen. Cutch is quietly having one the best first half's in baseball. He should be an MVP candidate. If he keeps his pace up and hits .340/30+HRs 30+Steals/100 RBIs. There is no reason he shouldn't at least get some votes for MVP. Especially if the Pirates stay in the race the entire season.
