There had to have been something other than going full on tribute given clearly some people thought things were off. Regal at the very least suspected something weird given the way his segment went.

When I was a young kid in 87, Soda Popinski was my first nemesis on there in that he was the first of the opponents I couldn't beat for awhile. So I get a special pleasure out of trouncing him now and none except for Tyson himself and Super Macho Man are challenges any more--Tyson of course is as difficult as always, though have both KOed him and got a decision win. Super Macho Man still gives me issues some to this day cuz it seems like there's always one more cheap tornado rotation that hits you so he probably still wins about 2 out of every three times.
But yeah, Soda.

Happy belated Birthday, I hope you got a new cap. I've actually got a New Japan one on it's way, so technically yeah.

See Warrior around the likes of D-X just seems like a funny image. He already hung out with Michaels in 1996, minus face paint too. Just imagine HHH as Ahmed there and it's UD-X in 1998. Ultimate D-Generation X! Ya know, the Kerry con Erich taking over for Warrior rumors of the early 90s were always dumb, but seeing him there it makes a bit more sense.

If you gotta keep her there why would you not slot her into a Mr. Hughes type role where the whole job is to look menacing as someone's backup and maybe occasionally throw a punch or something?

I love theaters, it's one of my favorite thing to do. Just came from Shang Chi. I've been to a movie theater at least once the past three weeks.
But I'm a movie buff and not most people.
Theaters are gonna be like record stores and comic shops--for the hardcore fans.
And that's coming sooner than later.

The movie industry hasn't dealt with the fact that the movie experience has changed forever for most people.
They're in the denial stage of grief.

Always a big fan of the one with Pete Puma as well. I still to this day, whenever I hear the word “Lumps”, will in my head, do his voice, and say “A whole lotta lumps”. I now want a Pete Puma cover of My Humps.

Keep in mind that those puppets were the things that gave him any sort of career&his boss there was his mentor and one of his best friends.
I'd be amazed if he didn't have emotions tied up with the things he and his friend created.

Legitimately don't get the butthurt or bitterness comments. Dude has been a successful actor and director for decades post Muppets career.
He just doesn't like what they do with them now. As one of the creators of the most iconic things any muppet was involved in, his POV is going to be a certain way.
Hell, he's done Yoda in the Star Wars sequels--specifically Last Jedi, but also had a bit of his voice in the last one.

If this dude would have just stayed exec producer and hired literally anyone else he'd almost certainly still be in that role as the other stuff probably would have remained unknown. Bit of a f*** up on his part.
