I think WWE recognizes that TNA exists and could, some point down the line, be a threat, but they don't acknowledge it and essentially go on their business as normal. TNA seems to address WWE a whole lot more than WWE is because they're trying to peg themselves as the alternatives, and the only way you can do that is to address who you're trying to distinguish yourself from. TV wise, WWE and TNA aren't in competition. They won't be until they are running programming in the same time slot. Thats what Paul Heyman's ECW did. They constantly bashed the big 2...particularly WCW while WCW never took them as a threat. This was purely the "I am better than you" attitude which any company displays.

Right after Rice Flair and Jeff Harvey:P But seriously, for in-ring entertainment, RVD. Just for the hell of it, Cena. ONS06 would have NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING(!!!) on the reaction that would get. Cena would be great...I wish RoH strikes a deal with Vinnie Mac just for the publicity like ECW did in 97. How about Damien Demento appearing in RoH!

Many indy guys whom I cant remember but this act was made popular by New Jack in ECW. I heard that in the original ECW, a Nintendo console was used as a weapon..... Has anyone used a Playstation 3 or an X-Box?

I personally believe RoH is the current training wheel of the industry. In the 90's it was ECW....before ECW it was GWF (I suppose as a lot of talented guys came out of that fed). Do you remember more such federations with amazing talent which were later on signed to WCW/WWE and became huge stars.

Doubt it, they just wanted to bring him in and have him be a threat to Goldberg. They didn't really start playing up the whole "extreme" stuff until Sandman came in a few months later. I remember Bigelow saying that hes extreme after he debuted.Bischoff was planning to sign the WCW guys like Sandman and Whipwreck to start the extreme invasion imo....as WCW was losing the war and Bischoff is a man who loves smarks and wanted to try the invasion without involving the ECW name, but trying to make a small ECW group which would wrestle in the WCW hardcore division. I think Bischoff wanted to show Heyman that WCW Hardcore division > ECW or maybe he wanted to compete with the WWF Hardcore division by using well known ECW guys who were ECW champions at some point in their career.

When Bigelow debuted in WCW was Bischoff trying to do the ECW invasion of WCW angle just like the nWo started where Scott Hall debuted by stopping the match when he debuted.I remember Bigelow saying that he's extreme which obviously states that Bischoff was trying to appeal to the smarks and the ECW fans.My question is that was Bischoff really trying to steal the ECW fans.....or was he ;D trying to promote ECW. (lol) ;D

Now-a-days out of a nostalgic blast I am playing Nintendo and Sega Genesis games on my PC....you can find a lot of Rom hacks on the internet. Especially for NES you get lot of hacks. I was unable to find any wrestling game hacks. It would really be awesome if there was any ECW game for the NES or Genesis (I mean a hacked game of WWF RAW or something) Do you know any of the hacked wrestling game titles for Sega Genesis or the Nintendo.

I like Booker T, but I've been watching him since Global. He was exciting in WCW (remember the Harlem Hangover?), but in WWE he went ahead and toned himself down. He has never recovered from that (match-wise). I think Booker's great on the mic as well. I actually think he's underrated on the mic. I can accept him as a main eventer, but others have their opinions. I'm glad someone else Remembers the Harlem Hangover I Remember thinking that it SHould be a Finisher on its own Is Harlem Hangover the top rope sommerault legdrop....if it is then I watched WWE Vintage some days back and saw Ahmed Johnson delivering the "Harlem Hangover" to Jeff Jarrett and I was amazed by watching it.....it made me realise that Ahmed Johnson was really underrated when it came to his in ring skills. Coming back to Booker T,he will always be in my top 30 favorite wrestlers of all time.

I liked Booker T from his WCW days and I honestly feel that he is great in TNA....hes above average in the ring and really funny on the mic. I wouldn't mind if they give the TNA World title to Booker T.

Similar to why alot of the Old guys are there. if they can't whore the limelight in WWE, then TNA is the next best thing. I think Foley does a good job in TNA by adding star value to the company. The experience of the veterans is what brings them to TNA.....TNA!TNA!TNA!TNA!TNA! ;DTNA is trying to be an alternative to the WWE....by booking some ridiculous storylines which are so bad that they are good. Just like the old WCW.....so bad that it gets comically good.

I enjoyed AJ styles vs Rhino in TNA's alternative X Scaffold match Great match. But Rhino actually looked a bit scared in that match.

I remember Vince passing racial comments against Sabu while watching ECW as Vince called Sabu a member of the Taliban. Last time I saw racial slurs was in the Attitude Era...... Do you remember any such instances where Vince or any other wrestler has passed racial comments in the WWE.

I'm tired of this comparison. Ahmed was nowhere near where Big Zeke is in ring wise. Are you sure? Ahmed was killer when he debuted and had some really entertaining matches. I was a Johnson mark back in the day.

Ezekiel Jackson looks as tough as Ahmed Johnson when Johnson was in his prime. Even Ezekiel has red trunks. He has limited in ring skills and I personally believe that Vinnie Mac will push him to the moon because of his tough guy look.

Whenever an ex-ECW wrestler wrestles in a hardcore match the crowd chants ECdub. I agree with your point, the trend now-a-days is chanting the promotion name instead of Holy Excretory Matter or This is Awesome.
