Every time someone starts cutting a promo in front of a garage door in AEW, I just wait for the heels to jump them.

Okay Luther's reaction to being told he was banned from ringside was some Hector Salamanca levels of sudden crazy eyes.

Sydal my man, get some Arch themed gear or something. Lose those Beetlejuice pants. I had to squint a few times, it's like he's doing a Darby with the shorts over tights but they're also not quiiiite baggy enough to be immediately obvious as shorts? And I agree, it looks like he yoinked them off a Beetlejuice performer at Universal or something.

I like how Dax's retort was basically "no u" but completely seriously.

Spoof the Saudis as he demands Christopher Daniels bring him Yokozuna and the ultimate warrior. Now I'm just imagining the Bucks calling up Ace Romero and Warhorse and being all "think he'll notice?"

I'm getting somewhere between Ghostbusters 2, The Picture of Dorian Grey, and like a high school edgy self-portrait.
That being said, it's got some ominous and foreboding vibes about it where I wouldn't be surprised if several years from now it ends up feeling even more unsettling in hindsight.

It won't land in the places that hate him but I'd rather him heel on the things people are criticizing him for than whatever that tone deaf face stuff was last year. It's hard to put into words, but it's crazy how "wearing brand new short trunks again almost certainly because they're horrendously unflattering now" Jericho just hits so much better than "half-assed non-ironic aging rockstar in old Sammy Hagar outfits" or whatever the hell he was supposed to be after JAS ended.

Jericho needs to explicitly start calling it the "FOR the World" championship in the most shamelessly patronizing way possible.

I kinda want Jericho to bring back the LED jacket except it's like one of those flexible screen ones that just has scrolling "fun facts" on it.

Only tangentially related, but it's amazing how much just seeing Disco Inferno in the background immediately deflates any gravitas the nWo might have had at that moment.

Either Daddy Magic, Nigel or Caprice replace him..
I'm trying to remember how good Chuck Taylor was on commentary because that'd certainly be an option too.

Assuming that this is legit and assuming he wants to stay involved in wrestling in some capacity, I wouldn't be opposed to him coming back as a commentator at some point whenever there's turnover at the announce table again. AEW and ROH are surprisingly well-stocked with managers right now and that's not quite basically what he's been doing for the last several months he's been out with injury, so I don't think there's really a niche for that, but he's done commentary before and could presumably take the rare bump from a heel as needed moreso too.
There's also a part of me that wants to see him nominated to become a Kentucky Colonel, so that he can come back and be Colonel Chuck Taylor, which has a surprisingly nice ring to it.

Jericho in short trunks makes his age so damn obvious. There are some wrestlers who can get away with wearing the short trunks pretty much well into their late career, particularly the puro style that's cut a little higher up. Jericho has just gotten weirdly barrel-chested with age in a way that does not flatter his figure at all. Granted, that might be deliberate at this point since I'm fairly certain that was also at least part of the reason he first switched to trunks in 2009.

Aside from the one-off Jerishow reunion, I don't think Jericho's rocked the short trunks since one of his NJPW matches where he looked horrendously out of shape. At least they're new?

Jack's well on his way to looking like Robby Steinhardt of Kansas and it weirdly works for him.

Assuming this isn't part of the angle, now I'm wondering if it's a thing where Chuck's prior injury was worse than expected or recovery didn't go as well as hoped, and it was basically a "you've got one more match to wrap things up" kind of a deal.

Re: AEW and their sometimes perplexing grasp of geography, the random-ass Youngstown show in between Des Moines and greater DC has me scratching my head, particularly when it feels like it's been a hot second since they've rotated through Cleveland or Columbus.
Also wouldn't be opposed to something north of Boston like Manchester, Burlington, or Portland, but aside from Montreal or Quebec City I think Boston is about as northeast as they're likely to go.
