So, our local CBS affiliate just went down for about 5 minutes.
Of all days, they had signal trouble today.

I've always maintained the opinion that Ron Jeremy seems like a cool dude, and as nightmare inducing as this video is, this reinforces my opinion.
I wanna hang with Ron Jeremy. For real.

I'll tell you what, since getting into football in '05 (the year that the Broncos lost to the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game) I bet you went insane when the Tebow pass happened the 2011 wild card Oh, my God you don't even know. I wanted us to win so bad and to do it like that, my God, what an incredible moment.

I'll tell you what, since getting into football in '05 (the year that the Broncos lost to the Steelers in the AFC Championship Game), it's been years of mediocrity and terrible, terrible 8-8 teams that were trotted out to try their best. There hasn't been a Bronco team like this in years, maybe even since the late 90's, and I'm just happy that I get to watch a Bronco team play in the Championship Game again.
We're long overdue for a shot at the Lombardi, and while I'm nervous as all hell (if you're a fan and you're not nervous on Championship weekend, you're doing something wrong) I'm confident that the Broncos can get it done. I'm not expecting it to be pretty, and I'm expecting that it'll be another near heart attack-inducing game, but if they don't beat themselves they can get it done.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Broncos OC Adam Gase is leaning toward remaining with Denver next season rather than pursue the Browns head-coaching job. Sweet! I don't know how much of the play calling was him vs. Peyton, but stability is always nice, especially in a league where coordinators constantly get snatched away from other teams. What the Broncos players failed to notice was that yeah, a lion's share of the coverage was on San Diego's run to the postseason, but at the end of the day, nobody was actually picking San Diego to win the game. It was a way to provide coverage and keep people interested in the game, because if the analysis was simply "Denver's going to win, let's talk about the other three games," then nobody would care to watch. And on that point, are the Broncos teenagers? Are they that needy for attention that any time somebody isn't talking about them, they take it as a personal affront? Absolutely fair point, but I can still see how that'd get old when you're the better team and everybody's losing their minds over the other opponents. And, as Ric said, a lot of them did pick the Broncos to win, but there's always a "but" attached to every prediction. 'The Broncos will win... but, the Chargers are hot and they beat them one and this that and the other thing'. I don't think that's necessarily fair, because it was the viewpoint of one guy, but I think it was just frustration more than anything. If I'm a part of the best offensive team in history and everybody's infatuated with the opponent because they beat us once, I'd be frustrated, too. Frustrated enough to take it to the media? Maybe not, but the media gets off on trying to get controversy out of players leading up to games. It's just what they do.

You guys are missing the point entirely; the Pats rushing game has gotten a lot of attention lately. That's all he was saying. Then why mention Denver? It was very much framed as "Why are they getting so much attention?", which is especially odd since Moreno's game has been a big talking point. Because we have a good run game, too, but the Pats is getting more attention. Is it deserved? It's hard to look at Blount's 4 TD game and say no, but we have a run game worth discussing, too.

And now it's time for two of the best football related commercials I've ever seen. I'm sure they've been posted already, but what the hell? They're awesome and deserve more attention.

You guys are missing the point entirely; the Pats rushing game has gotten a lot of attention lately. That's all he was saying. I was more interested in throwing pot shots at the complaining coming from both teams about a perceived lack of respect. Whether it's Tom Brady's absurd claim that no one is going to pick them to win or the Broncos players who whined about how nobody was paying attention to them instead in the lead-up to their game with the San Diego Chargers, it's getting totally insufferable. Tomorrow's post-game interviews might be the first time in either winning team plays the "nobody believed in us!" card. You just want to scream at the players on both teams. One is 13-3. The other is 12-4. Nobody is disrespecting either team's chance at winning tomorrow, yet both think they're this scrappy underdog. You do have a point; both teams get more respect than they think. However, with all of the build to the Denver/San Diego team being almost exclusively about San Diego and their 'Destiny' status, I get how that can be frustrating for a player. If I recall correctly it was just one Bronco that complained about that, but I can get how that'd get old. Either way this week has been much better in terms of balanced coverage, so there's really no underdog card for Brady to be pulling, in my opinion.

I like how people are touting the Patriots run game when Denver dropped 284 rushing yards on them last time they played. I don't see what one has to do with the other. And it's not like nobodies acknowledged Denver's running game. I can't wait 'till we're done with this "Nobody in the media is giving us a chance" thing we keep doing with Denver. It's like if vm88 was in the NBA thread shouting about how no one in the media is giving the Heat a chance. Stop trying to force the narrative. I don't think his angle was "woe is Denver", I think he was just pointing out that Blount has gotten a lot of media attention lately. That's what I took from it, at least.

They were talking on NFL Network about how important Super Bowl wins are to a QB's legacy, and somebody, can't remember who, said that Super Bowl rings are just indicators that a QB was on a good team; that doesn't necessarily mean that the QB himself was great. As Ganon83 said, the reason why Marino's in the HoF and guys like Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco never will be is because Marino was a GREAT QB, and the stats that he's got shows that he was a fantastic QB. Same with Peyton Manning; if he were to retire with just one ring, he'd still make the Hall because his stats show that he was a great Quarterback despite not having rings like Montana.
In short, Super Bowl wins are nice for a QB, but they're more indicative of how good the teams were that they were a part of, so lack of them shouldn't discredit a QB's legacy.
