Rihanna's whole act is so sexual that it'd be a PR disaster for the league, and as much as I like Coldplay I can't think of a more boring halftime show.
Katy Perry, please!

I'll say this - I get that the police need to protect themselves because criminals will do as they will, but I think it's scary as f*** that small town police are starting to look like the damn US Military.
There is absolutely no need for that kind of equipment in small-town America. NO need.

Very happy to see my songs did well! Personally speaking, I feel that that was my strongest round yet, so I'm happy to see they did good.

He's such a dickhead, I hate the Ravens and Steelers, but my gawd am I going to love seeing him get Cena'd this season. You know what, he is a dickhead and I don't like the guy, but I'd rather him just be a dickhead than this fake modest, humble Johnny Football we've been getting in interviews lately. Deion Sanders, Ocho Cinco, TO; those guys were dicks and embraced it. Be honest with yourself, Manziel.

The Browns' QBs are putting on a clinic of crapitude Nothing good out of either? I'm away from the TV or else I'd be watching it.

I think, even if your site is just almost moderately successful, you should be watermarking your pictures. It doesn't have to be a huge eye-sore, but you owe it to yourself to have something there to protect yourself a little bit.

I was just looking over the Broncos' schedule on /r/denverbroncos, and they had a little indicator on the bottom that says only weeks 5-17 can be flexed to a different time slot.
That really sucks, because I was really hoping that the NFL would flex the Super Bowl rematch in week 3 to prime time, and I can't believe they didn't do that in the first place. You have (arguably) the two best teams from both conferences who hate each other in a Super Bowl rematch... and you give it to CBS for the afternoon slot?
What are some other games that are making you guys scratch your heads in regards to the scheduling?

I know it's only pre-season and it doesn't matter much, but anytime your team can shut another team out it's exciting and makes you feel hopeful about your depth.
I'm really liking what I'm seeing out of some of these 2nd and 3rd string guys, and Brock Lobster has me more and more convinced that if (KNOCK. ON. WOOD.)Peyton goes down, we'll be okay. We wouldn't be as good as we would if Peyton was in, but I think Osweiler is more than capable of running this offense. He's looked calm, cool and collected in these last two games.

Gene Simmons has always been one of the worst humans walking the planet. He's a no-talent hack in a band without talent that became popular due to their gimmick. The same band that has no issue with ripping off their fans on a consistent basis. Basically, f*** Gene Simmons and anything he says. Hmm, I disagree with the majority of this post. Gene's a dick, yes, but the argument about the gimmick always leaves out the fact that some fans, like me, actually enjoy the band for their music as well as the theatrics. The ripping off fans confuses me, as well, because all of the KISS merch I've bought I've bought because I wanted it; they put out a lot of shit, but the merchandise argument always seems to go hand in hand with the ridiculous "real music" argument that some seem to want to bring up all the time. Like I said, not disagreeing about the points about Gene, but KISS has nothing to do with this.

Def Leppard and KISS at the Pepsi Center in June. Let's just say I enjoyed it a little bit.

Just got onto Kiss Online and saw this, I'm honestly surprised he said anything, but I give him props for doing so. It doesn't change the fact that what he said was stupid, but it's something. It should be noted that radio stations here in the US and Australia (where the band continued to score hit singles during the band's lean years) very publicly banned their records in the wake of Gene's comments. The US doesn't surprise me too much, but Australia does considering how big KISS was, and maybe still is (I don't know) there. I feel bad for the other guys in the band; you never hear Paul, Eric or Tommy say anything even remotely controversial, and then you have an ass like Gene who takes any opportunity he can to rile people up. I'd hate to have to deal with that.

On your first point, no, he'd likely give Hendrix credit for actually working toward being a singer instead of just BS-ing it. Dylan has a voice many find ridiculous, but the guy worked and practied his ass off to get where he got. For the record, I'm not just trying to BS it. I am working on getting better, but I also realize that I'm not a naturally gifted singer, and that I have to put in more work than others who have that natural talent. But I'm also realistic, and I realize that probably no one will ever say "Man, that guy has a great voice" but I do think they will say things like "Wow, that rocked" or "Wow, that was catchy" at the things I've been working on. I do realize that I need a crutch though, not something to do all the work for me, but something to help get me there. Also, I've never understood that "pure music" mentality. Overly produced pop, techno, and hip hop in no way takes away from talented straight ahead Rock n roll bands. To me, a good song is just a good song, regardless of how it came to be or what production methods were necessary. A Tom Petty tune can be just as awesome as a Jay-Z tune even though they were created in entirely different ways. Thank you though to those that didn't crap all over me, and thanks to Akeem for actually pointing me in the right direction. I started singing in 2010, and I had to learn completely from scratch as I had no redeeming musical qualities whatsoever. 4 years later and I'm finally almost somewhat decent! For real, though, this guy's channel helped me more than I can possibly put into words. www.youtube.com/user/EricArceneaux/videosLook through his channel for his (much older now) tutorials on vocal warm-ups, breathing control and the like. I'm not a fantastic singer, but I'm a firm believer that with enough time anybody can learn how to sing. You don't have to be born with it, so if you need some help in that area definitely consult his channel.

Here's the deal. I'm trying to put together a metal band and I will be the singer. I pretty much suck, I sound like Rob Zombie when he performs live except I actually sing all the words. It's okay because I'm creative, different and have vision, and I know how to promote the hell out of stuff when I need to. I've been watching performances of people like Kesha, where it's more about attitude than talent, and that's sort of what I'm going for but with a harder edge to it. I honestly don't care if "real" musicians think I suck or can't sing, because that's not really what I'm going for anyway, I just want it to rock and be different. Here is where I need your help. As stated, I sort of sound like Rob Zombie live, but I want my live performance to sound more like Rob Zombie's voice in the studio. Is there some type of pedal that would be good for this in terms of leveling things out? Sort of a cheaper version of what a lot of pop stars use to be passable live? I just want more "oomph" to my limited abilities. There are definitely some pedals on the market that are meant to help vocalists out in a live setting. www.guitarcenter.com/Vocal-Processors-Signal-Processors.gc?nce=1I've never used any of them myself as I don't particularly have a use for them as somebody who doesn't play out, but there are definitely pedals that can help your vocals cut through and stand out in a live mix.

I don't mind excessive flags in pre-season (not to say I ENJOY them) because it's only the pre-season, but if this over-excessive flagging shit comes through into the regular season I'm going to be pissed.
Hopefully they're using the pre-season as a way to set boundaries for the refs and that's why they're going so hardcore, but there's no need to be so hard in the regular season. People will get more pissed off than they did with the replacement refs.

www.rollingstone.com/music/news/gene-simmons-depression-comments-anger-nikki-sixx-20140814To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of Gene, and shit like this definitely doesn't help mine or others' opinion on him. Nikki Sixx brings up a fantastic point about a vulnerable 20 year old KISS fan taking Gene at his word and killing himself, and hopefully nobody's stupid enough to listen to the dickhead. Gene thinks he's smart and important enough to take on a lot of popular and controversial topics, and I don't understand it. I used to think his ego was just a gimmick to get a rise out of people, but I legitimately think he's delusional enough to believe he's as smart as he thinks he is. Comparing that to Paul Stanley, who has expressed negativity towards the idea of celebrities taking on social, political and religious topics, Gene comes across as that much more obnoxious, uneducated, ignorant and just overall f***ing stupid. Congratulations, Gene. You've said a lot of stupid shit before, but you might've dug the hole just a wee bit too deep this time.

I've got to admit; I saw "Jim Carrey" and "Dead" in the same title and got scared for a minute.
Also, I need to see that movie, like, yesterday.
