Shane, your father called me.
He wants you to know he always liked Steph best.
In fact, he wanted me to tell you he even likes Hunter better than you.

Props to Bryan for continuing to improve on the mic and as an actor. That was well done.

Wresting is best when the heel is right.
Or in this case, a complete dick.

It's gonna be really awkward if Kevin's kid was watching that segment, lol "It's ok son, I was only pretending I wished Shane was dead!" I was thinking ... isn't Kevin the guy who nixed his Kill Steen Kill shirts in ROH because of his kids?

Kevin Owens "Ref Who Would Take the Shirt Off Your Back" gimmick is gold. "Give me your shirt. ...This is not an option, if you don't give me your shirt, we have a motherf***ing problem." I mean, look at what he's wearing. Kevin NEEDS that shirt.

I think there's a huge difference between seeing a celebrity in passing somewhere (airport, restaurant, etc.) and treating them respectfully and asking for a pic or autograph if they seem receptive, but that's a whole different animal than showing up at an airport with a handful of merch because you've somehow stalked them to know when they arriving at the Delta terminal.
A friend of mine ran into Scott Hall quite randomly about a year ago in our town (no idea why he was here), my friend was walking into Subway and Hall was walking out. My friend just held up a Too Sweet hand signal and Hall too-sweeted him as they passed, not a word spoken. To me, THAT was way cooler than "Oh Mr. Hall, can I get a picture taken with you?" Just a simple recognition without inconveniencing him in any way, and if he had left my friend high and dry without returning the gesture, no big deal.
And I'll add this: We know Punk and Sasha don't like the fan interaction/being bothered while in public doing their own thing, but I've never heard either of them complain about doing meet-and-greets, nor have I ever heard of anyone complain of having a bad experience with them at those organized events. They are professionals and know that's part of the job and if they do those, they probably show up on time and interact and do their thing because that's part of the deal. Which is how it should be.

1. they have a contract and without knowing what's specifically in it WWE might be legally obligated to have a live show if the USA demands it. 2. The WWE make the majority of their money off the TV Contracts and don't want to piss off the networks. Also, renewal talks are next year for after 2019. If WWE don't play ball, USA could turn around and offer them way less than they have now and more cost cutting would happen to counter that. If you sign a contract, you have to live up to it (unless the other party decides to give you a pass). There is no "stand up to USA" if the contract requires live shows on every Monday for the duration. What some are calling "stand up to" is called breach of contract. If WWE breaches, then USA can withhold ALL payment and pull the plug on telecasts, etc. Not going to happen. You don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Interesting to see the reactions.
I work in a business where someone has to work every holiday. Many people volunteer to work that day because it's usually an easy shift and you get holiday pay. For some, it pretty much pays for Christmas. (I once had a 14 hour workday on Christmas so I made out huge. Had the holiday with the family on Christmas Eve, no big deal.)
Some of those arena workers are going to be happy about this. Some, I'm sure, not so much.
Not everyone is a Christian. Not everyone cares about this as much as some think.

This is why WWE has meet and greets. If that's your thing, go to Axxess or those other opportunities.

Jeff hardys wife tweeted that this was a call from USA network and not WWE Would not surprise me. they are also responsible for 3 hour raws, and for a while they were the reason why the Authority was apparently all over the Raw as well. That's a great idea, actually. Have HHH and Steph come out the week before and announce to the talent that they're all working on Christmas and New Year's while the McMahons have a family holiday. Great heat.

WCCW in Dallas used to draw some of its biggest crowds of the year with annual Christmas Day shows in the 1980s.
And the NBA and NFL draw packed houses on that day, too.
I'm not sure it's going to be a ratings bust and empty houses like people here are saying. I suspect there will be a lot of people on a live thread on Christmas on this thread, most of them watching and still moaning about how WWE shouldn't be holding a show.
And even if you feel that way about Christmas, New Year's Day isn't sacred and there shouldn't be any reason to not hold a show on that day.

Wonder how many people on this thread have ever gone to see a movie on Christmas Day (I have) with no similar feeling for the workers there. Theaters are open more than 300 days a year and have no offseason. Or gone to the corner store that's open to pick up something at the last minute, grateful that they decided to open on Christmas. News flash: Lotsa people work on holidays. As someone whose worked during the Christmas period, I've never had to work another 270 or so days during the year travelling long distances on my own dime allowing grown men to toss me around and hit me with moves that, if done wrong, could potentially paralyse me or, at worse, kill me. AND throw in the usual mental anguish that comes from being a known name to the public AND the political minefield that is backstage WWE. You want them to work Christmas Day? Great. Then have a revolving roster throughout the year or have an off season. Can't do that? Great. Then don't have them work Christmas. You're not so much comparing apples to oranges as Apples to Toasters. You seem to be suggesting that working on Christmas puts them at greater risk health wise. I don't get that.
