Hunter was a great wrestler in that I think he helped both Batista and Cena more than many people recognize, especially Cena. But he never fit in as the 100% face of the company, even pre quad you had Rock and then Angle outpacing him. Maybe heās better remembered if you do a direct swap between him and Angle in early 2003 just because Smackdown at the time was just a great wrestling show while Raw sucked, but a big reason why the shows were so different was because of him so idk.
If we pretend Fritz Von Erich just never had kids, I think HHHās legacy will look similar. Fritz was a good wrestler, great traveling heel. But he wasnāt close to some of his peers, names like Thesz, Sammartino, Gagne, in talent or as a draw. But then as his career winded down, he took the Dallas office and helped make it a big deal between tickets and the Pat Robertson tv deal that gave World Class a ridiculous amount of coverage for a non-WWE non-Turner promotion. That would be his real legacy if he wasnāt a piece of shit father.

I largely agree with you, but the crucial part of this story that's causing me not to simply handwave this away due to just being more Haushit is Kylie herself responding to it. With that being said, we are very early in the game from an actual news perspective. Except she's not really responding to it directly, just liking some posts. So we have zero idea what she experienced in relation to Jericho. Worst case scenario is he used his power to try and force her to have sex with him, in which case this kind of discourse would be 100% justified. Thing is, we have zero idea what happened because Hausman wanted to wave his dick around like Mike Tenay without anything to back it up and it sounds like never had any sort of evidence to back it up, instead relying on everyone else to crowd source evidence for him. So until someone ponies up some actual evidence, we're just waving around pitchforks hoping to scare up some witches. That's why I said it was still early in the game. We don't have anything except for what Rae said in November of 2019 and what Khan said at the All Out 2019 press conference, which were both largely nothingburgers. But the fact Rae did anything in response makes this something to pay attention to; it's not the dog story or the Bucks kicking the door down at Brawl Out

Quite frankly, and this is not to defend Jericho in any way, but we should wait for more info. This is the same Hausman that some people have been advocating on here being a banned source due to the quality of his info. I largely agree with you, but the crucial part of this story that's causing me not to simply handwave this away due to just being more Haushit is Kylie herself responding to it. With that being said, we are very early in the game from an actual news perspective.

From what I can gather, if they didn't have any backstage duty you might as well call them "Wrestler 1" and "Wrestler B" for Ohbari. He really just wanted to get sponsors for the company, with very little thought about promoting them (hence why a lot of what Tanahashi wants to do is more "boots on the ground" promotion, especially outside of Tokyo). What I've read as well that was the straw that broke the camel's back that lead to calls for his firing was The G1 finals not being a sell out. It also doesn't hurt negotiations with Okada to get rid of somebody he has heat with. Hell the WWE rumors leaked probably right about the time these decisions were being finalized

Apparently Ohbari, the former President of New Japan was disliked and had heat by many in the company, including Okada. He didn't understand wrestling and was dismissive of Okada's value. āHe wanted Okada to shave his head and rebrand himself with an earring as Sparticusā

I'm still not sure why WWE doesn't televise the MSG shows. They would probably pop a good rating. Union contracts- it's very expensive to run the Garden, but televising it damn near makes it a money loser because of TV production unions. It's why they usually run Barclays for non-house shows in NYC. It's also why AEW hasn't tried to run in the Garden yet even though they'd probably do very well there too for a Grand Slam esq Dynamite

It is interesting where you're seeing a lot of wrestlers and former wrestlers in positions of power in these promotions. Triple H and Shawn Michaels in WWE. Kenny Omega, the Bucks, and Bryan Danielson in AEW. Scott D'Amore in Impact. And now Tanahashi in New Japan. To be fair, this is nothing new in wrestling. History has been filled with active/semi-active & former talent in positions of power. -Giant Baba, president of AJPW -Inoki, president of NJPW -Dusty, booker of Jim Crockett Promotions -Ole Anderson, booking Crockett & Georgia -Patterson & Monsoon under Vince Sr. & Jr. -Jerry Jarrett & Jerry Lawler running Memphis The difference is that for 25 or so years you had Vince in full control of WWF/WWE and WCW avoiding wrestlers starting with the Bischoff hiring. The ones that did have power in major American promotions before AEW were generally guys like Nash in WCW and Hogan in TNA whose records in those roles speak for themselves.

Slick - heās the last of the 80ās era managers who has yet to be inducted. Slick might be on the no-call list right now, as he was part of the class action suit a few years ago.

I canāt believe it took Sony three years after Trebek died for them to finally make the most obvious and logical decision on the next full time host of Jeopardy.

Does Sonyās exclusivity deal include Deadpool? That would be mightily disappointing if thereās no chance at a new Deadpool game over the next dozen years

More people have laughed at John Oliver jokes in the last three months than have laughed at Elon Musk jokes in his entire little life.

While I feel that most have a good point that Rocksteady had no way of knowing when Kevin Conroy would pass and thus we shouldn't be equating that with what happens in game. I do feel, however, that it should be mentioned that when Kevin passed last year Rocksteady was quick to exploit that death and use it to advertise the game at the Game Awards when they announced Batman was in the game. Then in the trailer reminded everyone that it was the last time he would play the character and knew what would happen in the game with his character. That we should be mad about. They also had plenty of time to try and fix some of the more... uh, interesting actions the character does within the story. They've had years to cut content now that really didn't need to be in the game.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}In some ways I will give them credit for actually having the balls to kill the Justice League off in a video game. But setting it in the Arkham universe almost a decade after the final game came out and wasting Kevin Conroy's final performance as Batman as a brainwashed murderer after we've spent many years with this incarnation of the character... I mean, what were they thinking?
And the way he is used in the plot just screams that he could have very easily been like Wonder Woman and uneffected. Or even better, Brainiac doesn't realize Batman is not dead and is never targeted by him in the first place. That would tie into the Arkham games so much better while also not killing f'ing Tim Drake in cold blood.
Jim Stephanie Sterling was right a couple of years ago when they opined that Warner Bros. has no respect for their actual properties. It's the direct opposite of Nintendo.

Don't let the current Cornette cloud your judgement- he was able to stand out in a territory with Dusty, Harley and Flair cutting all timer promos every other week. And that's not getting to physical stuff that Heenan couldn't really do the last decade he was regularly managing. The first three is easily Heenan, Hart, and Corny.
I had to go with Sherry over Heyman. Heyman is great with guys like Brock and Roman, but there were clients of his he was not able to make work out. Think Curtis Axel, Claudio. Whereas Sherry was always fantastic whoever she was with. She was like Elizabeth in that she could stand out and connect while only adding to her client instead of upstaging him, but unlike Elizabeth she had more than just Savage on her resume.

I know its not really that simple, but it's almost like Cody and Punk used AEW as leverage to what they really wanted- Wrestlemania main events in WWE. It looks like Cody is going to get two Wrestlemania main events with Cody vs Reigns II in Philly, while Punk is going to have to settle for wrestling Seth Rollins for the consolation prize in the "Main Event" of night one. And if you're smart about it and both get the win, building a full year towards Punk vs Cody would be a big money match for the Mania after. Especially if Rock were to come back for that year to wrestle Roman on the other night, in a match that doesn't need the championship.

The lesson today, of course, is that it is foolish to advertise on Twitter.
If you ever pull your advertising for whatever reason, it has now been demonstrated that the 50 year old owner may throw one of those moody teenage temper tantrums on a stage of an event the a high profile guest like the Vice President will later speak at. For you not using his service anymore.
Line has been drawn in the sand now to corporate America.
