I think my new favorite thing that's happened here at FAN is the complete no sell of everything the Browns did yesterday. Not one thing in here or in any other thread.
Like there's really no news value in how they hot shotted hiring a new GM like it's Russo era WCW or how Hue Jackson still has a job for some reason. It's just the Browns being the Browns.

Remember when a masked man attacked Rick Steiner only to be revealed the next week as... Rick Steiner?

I don't know... I don't even know who his favorite teams are, all I ever see is him shitting on the current top teams in sports. Like no offense, it's just all I see. He's a Bills fan. I hate Alabama. Nick Saban is a failure of an NFL coach who gets paid untold millions to yell at dirt poor teenagers every year and gets lauded as this coaching genius because of it. They make the playoff every year as long as they get to double digit wins, regardless of what any other team has done this year. The SEC bias in college football is bad, but the Alabama bias top to bottom is just terrible. This committee crap needs to go away. What does Condoleezza Rice bring to the table? Why not get away from this opinion based BS and go to what Reflecto proposed above?

Everything in the AFC is terrible and always has been except for the Patriots, Steelers, sometimes the Colts and usually the Ravens

I don't think Eli should start moving forward. You already broke his streak and i'm not risking him getting hurt going into offseason Start Geno or the rookie and let them take the lumps I can't see Eli with the Giants next year just because why would he waste one of the final years of his career playing for a rebuilding team with the next franchise QB on the sidelines? Especially when he could just walk into Jacksonville and be on a Super Bowl contending team?

Bears and the Rodger-less Packers are their only hope now.
Although with how Pittsburgh has played down to their opponent all year, they have a decent shot of stealing one

Now we just need Saints and Eagles to win and the Packers should stand a good chance of sneaking into the playoffs (if Rodgers comes back in Week 15)

In late 2013, Gran Turismo 6 came out and was the first real example of micro transactions I know anout in games outside of Madden and FIFA.
In GT6, Sony reduced how much money you could win in any given race, especially if you haven't signed in the previous five days to the servers (you get a 2 times multipler on day 5 and up of continus login). Instead of getting a free car after completing every one of the dozens upon dozens of series like in 5, now you only get a free car after completing one of the six license tests. This was all to entice you to pay actual money for in game credits.
GT6 was a bit of a disappointment, moving half the units that 5 did. It still sold 5 million copies world wide, but GT games before 6 were always either the highest sellers on Sony consoles or second to GTA.
Sony later said they'd never do micro transactions in the series again partially due to low sales and partially because the community boycotted buying them anyway.
I guess EA, 2K, and Warner Bros. weren't paying attention.

Elway fired a coach the day after hosting a divisional round playoff game. He's not afraid to make the right call and take a gamble instead of playing it safe. After all, doing just that got him a third Super Bowl ring. There is a difference between firing a guy that has failed 3 years running with a win now team and a guy that is a year in with one just expected to compete. I don't see upending the coaching staff for the 4th time in 5 years as right way to go and I seriously doubt Elway does too. Yeah to the fanbase it can look good but it screams of impatience and incompetence as well. There is a right time for it all, I don't know it, I just have to hope Elway does. Fox never let the team just give up like they have. I mean this is a top five defense playing like a bottom five defense.

The skins defense looked beyond pitiful. The offensive line was patch together and it shows. They should rebuild again, starting by letting Gruden and Bruce Allen. Nope, not going to happen. Allen's father is the best coach in franchise history not named Joe Gibbs and Snyder loves to hide behind the team's history so that fans don't notice how awful he is as an owner.

I don't know about Vance Joseph being gone, it all depends on what Elway wants to do. Yeah sounds obvious but what I am getting at is he refused to look at the Broncos as rebuilding after last season, just "reloading", so does he admit his failures as GM and start over or what? Does he deal a Shane Ray or Bradley Roby or CJ Anderson for a pick or a middle of the road vet QB that mentors ANOTHER draft pick? Or does he look to grab an offensive lineman or two and take one more run at it with this defense? To me, between McCoy's offense being too rigid for the team and the line being absolute garbage again, It is hard for me to see this as a team that needs rebuilding. It needs retooling for sure, why Von is dropping back into coverage so much and not rushing more, we need at least one tackle, and a TE would be nice but I think we could get by with a few small changes. Now all that said, we need a long term solution at QB and I am not sold on the current staff. VJ is raved about by the players but is he the right fit? The team seems to be getting away with way too much, too much letting the boys be boys. Woods at DC seems a failure but I have a hard time pinning the issues on him when the offense has sucked so so so badly. McCoy is gone and I like Musgrave but will he be here next year, if so what does this mean for Paxton, Trevor and Brock? Paxton is a first round pick but has never really gotten a chance so tossing that away just makes zero sense. The team is a crazed mess for sure but I just don't know that taking a wrecking ball to it is the answer, yet. I guess at the end of the day, I expect major changes on the offense, probably a trade for a veteran OL and probably drafting two or three as well. Oh and Brock Olivo will be out on his ass. Elway fired a coach the day after hosting a divisional round playoff game. He's not afraid to make the right call and take a gamble instead of playing it safe. After all, doing just that got him a third Super Bowl ring.

49ers would be in the wild card hunt if they had Jimmy G at the start of the season. No way Kyle walks.

Has the modern NFL ever gotten this late in the season without a head coach getting fired?

Honestly? I like what the Packers did here. If we cannot beat the Browns and/or the the Bucs, we should not be in the playoffs. With or without Rodgers. And if he plays in these games and maybe Pittsburgh he risks rushing back from the injury too quickly and getting an even more devastating injury. I definitely wouldn't want his first game back be on the road at Pit or for his career to end at the hands of a winless Browns team via Myles Garrett

He always struck me as kind of creepy. Can’t say I’m too surprised. I’m waiting on Kevin Dunn. Not well known enough for the company to have to do something. Vince would probably give him a raise in all honesty

Crazy what happens when the best player in the league gets injured. McCarthy has piggy backed Rodgers entire career. Without Rodgers McCarthy wouldn't have a job. Fire them all. #FireCapers #FireMcCarthy #FireThompson The Capers defense doesn't understand the concept of the QB scramble or that teams can throw beyond the first down marker. The McCarthy offense has sucked ever since he was the OC in San Fran. It only works when the QB starts running the no huddle and catches the defense off guard. Finally, sticking strctly to the draft and only making a big FA signing every three years just doesn't work anymore. Especially when the signings don't make much sense (Why do we need another TE when we could either resign Peppers or find another DE to take Peppers' place.

If that game don't get McCarthy fired nothing will, all on him. Nothing will. Firing the coach is not the Packer way unless they're truly horrible. Jesus sometimes I wish we had a Jerry Jones type owner who would just fire the asshole.

We're probably not winning this game but it does give me hope that we could go undefeated the next couple of weeks. If we do that we might have Rodgers back in time for the final few weeks
