So I've been playing Fallout 3 for the first time (yeah I know...) Anyway, I stumbled into the Bethesda East building and well... {Spoiler}Was using a stealth boy since I didn't have a lot of stimpacks left and I'm only a lvl 8. Using the hunter rifle and the VATS, I knocked a dude's head off from a crouch about ten feet from him. Right as I round the corner to get a look at the enemies inside, a dude with a flamethrower comes out and I spot a turret above him. I haven't ran into flamethrower guys yet, but I hated turrets so I figure I'll take the shot at him. Still crouhed mind you, I VATS onto the turrett's smaller piece. The bullet goes THROUGH the flamethrower guy and knocks the turret off the wall and still functioning. So I shot it again... and it tried to adjust itself on the ground shooting wildly. I fired a second shot and blew it up.

I could, I'm more of a cat person. Less noisy than a dog. I dunno. I grew up with a cockapoo and a Siamese cat. The siamese way definitely louder. Even now with our bloodhound/blue tick coon and our gray tuxedo cat (I think he has Russian Blue in him) the cat definitely puts up a fight for noise levels. Then again, he's an epic butthole who loves nothing more than yelling at people for no reason. Which is why I love him.

Here in Central PA it's been pretty steady over the past 20 years or so, tbh.
(prices are approx. average/range, deposit and tax not included)
12 oz can runs 50 cents from most vending machines. A few stores like K-Mart and Weis Markets like to jack theirs up a bit to get people buying it inside/shill their store brand and they run .55 to .75.
Box of 12 cans: Usually $4.99, occassionally $5.99 But around here Weis or Giant (the two regional groceries) or CVS or K-Mart or someone usually has them on sale for anywhere from 4 for $10 to 3 for $12. Almost all have implemented "must buy 3/4 to get discount". Rarely still you see a 5 for $10, but again that's usually Coke around here.
Box of 24 cans: These went up a little. I remember when they were $6 at groceries $7 elsewhere and would go on sale for $5 and rarely $4. I think now they're regularly $7-$9 and go on sale for $6 and occassionally $5. (Although that's usually just coke at Wal-Mart)
591 mL (20 oz.) Bottle: $1 from most vending machines, rarely $1.25-$1.75 usually at the places where cans are more. $1.29-$1.79 from most convenience stores and grocery coolers.
1 Litre (36 oz.) Bottle: $1.79-$2.49 at most stores. Prices seem to fluctuate on these a good bit, but they've never been heavily produced or sold in this area, save for Mountain Dew (which at most stores around here usually outsells all other sodas... in some instances all others combined).
2 Litre (72 oz.) Bottle: $1.79-$1.99 at most stores occassionally upwards to $2.49 (I know it was getting more outrageous at pizza places and such up to $2.79). But again, someone usually has it on sale for 2 for $3, 3 for $4 or 4 for $5. I have noticed it's very rare to see them 10 for $10 anymore at the groceries.
As for the can machines, there's a good mix of PepsiCo bottler owned/business owned around here. The bottler ones are almost always the more reasonably priced (.50 for a can, $1 for 20 ounce). Bottler owned ones in businesses get a discount a lot of the times. A 20 ounce Pepsi at my work was 80 cents out of the machine.
Then again, there's still somewhat of a Coke-Pepsi war in my area and it depends where the nearest bottler is located. My town now, for instance, bottles Coke and Pepsi comes from I think 20-40 miles away. In my old town, they had a Pepsi bottler and imported their Coke from here I believe which is 50 miles. So outside of grocery sales, Coke was usually a little more. Then again, Pepsi didn't do a lot of price lowerings in general (save for the 24 packs which was more of a "get people into x store" deal) because everyone drank Pepsi there. My grandfather said years before they had a Coke bottler and trucked in Pepsi and almost everyone drank Coke because of it.

Now that mygamercard.net is no more, is there another way to get a gamer card up on here? xboxgamertag.com has a few to use. Not near the selection as MGC, though. Oh, and beat Unbound Saga. Far from a great game, but I definitely think it was sorta crapped on by reviews. Especially since it was a small team. But apparently arcade style beat-em-ups are dated, unless their X-Men.

So I got around to doing the rewards.xbox survey today. There's a trivia contest runnign right now with some random instant win prizes of 100-1000 daily points and 4000 weekly. When I finished it playing, it said that if you spend 200 or more points on anything by May 15th you'll get the Halo Banshee prop free. Also, if you buy either Halo Reach On Demand or the Defiant Map Pack, you get 400 points back. Not a bad deal for the latter since it's only 800 regularly. Did you get to play this triva contest? Because all I got was the page stating what the prizes were and the two Halo offers. Yeah, it let me play. I went through the link that popped up on the side bar after filling out the survey. Oh and apparently Hexic HD is now listed on the marketplace free. marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/Hexic-HD/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802584107d1This is included in most hard-drived consoles, but if you bought one that was used and cleared and probably some other issues, it may not be there. It's also been confirmed to work in CA and GB accounts. Just change the US.

So I got through a chapter of Unbound Saga. Nothing great, basically a beefed up Final Fight/Streets of Rage (better graphics, some Borderlands-esque special skill trees) with Comix Zone style panels. Decent enough storyline and gameplay. Annoying as hell hand.
But there are 2 avatar awards included. A t-shirt for finishing any chapter in story mode and stack of comic books for finishing the story mode. So well worth it for $2.

Yeah, X-Men Arcade is definitely worth it for that price. The online was pretty solid when I was on a month or so after it's release. I imagine now it's back to that level as there are a few chivos attached that require you to be in a six person game. And a sidenote, one of them is a bit glitchy. You need to be in the game from the start.

Just finished the final chivo for Crazy Taxi. I barely got through S-S in Crazy Box, I had 1.10 seconds when I got parked. Luckily, it's still replayable for me so I can work on getting the rest of the ten hours in for the Axel shirt unlockable.

Depends on how many times said dvd or cd was downloaded. If it was hundreds or thousands of times, that's however many dvd's or cd's they're out on. So it makes sense that they would sue for more than the price of one. Also, suing for the price of the DVD wouldn't exactly be a punishment, even twice the amount wouldn't really be. It would be a gamble that would likely payoff over time. Besides, to be fair, a lot of these people are dl'ing hundreds of songs at once.

Wait, there's a new Ghostbusters game? Yeah. It's an XBLA twin stick shooter. Good arcade graphics, simple premise and fairly fun. It's taken a backseat for me personally, though, as I've picked up Crazy Taxi. Oh and for anyone interested... Microsoft is doing a new update preview. If you get selected, you'll get a free copy of Reach. Although the tradeoff is likely a lack of party chat and some other features during the timeframe. connect.microsoft.com/xboxliveupdate

april 1st... one day only sales? I'm not buying it. Yeah, that actually crossed my mind but the negative responses Microsoft would get would be insane. Plus, it's tax return time so they likely want to get in on one of the bigger spending periods outside of the holidays.

So I picked up Sanctum of Slime. Fun stuff, and Mikey you're definitely right about the text. I have a 19" non DTV (that I sit about two feet from) and on a lot of the comic dialogue I can't read any of it. ...And this is from someone with over 20/20 vision.
Oh and if anyone hasn't checked it out... the sale XBox has started this week is pretty insane.
A Kingdom for Keflings, Crazy Taxi, Monkey Island 2: SE and Doom II are all 400 pts (along with a bunch of others)
There's also some add-ons on sale for RDR, Halo Wars and others.
The "steal" so far is Unbound Saga for 160.
On April 1st there's going to be some one-day only sales as well.
So far, I've picked up Crazy Taxi and Unbound Saga. Hopefully Friday has another one or two $2 games that are worthwhile enough similar to this past Christmas when 'Splosion Man and Re-Shelled hit that price.

1. Snake Plissken
The epitome of the anti-hero and my personal favorite of that group. The style was all his own. His beliefs and outlook on life were awesome as well.
2. H.M. Murdock
He showed me at a young age, and I'm sure many others, that you could be weird and at the same time fit in and be cool/a badass. Not to mention it was just some of the best acting and writing on television, period. The whole was he crazy/wasn't he was just great stuff.
3. Bill Overbeck. A true fighter and survivalist. Wise with years, he always seemed to know what to say from joking around to motivating "his troops". Plus his angst and anger were emoted awesomely.

Just finished up the chivos for Pac-Man CE DX and I gotta say... it's one of the few games I'm still playing afterwards.
I think that puts me at...
Assassin's Creed Oblivion Tony Hawk: American Wasteland
Monkey Island Uno Harm's Way X-Men Arcade Pac-Man CE
and maybe some I'm forgetting.

So, are we getting L.A Noir for the Xbox? I thought it was for PS3 only, but the new trailer has both PS3 and Xbox logos in it, so......? Yeah, almost positive. There's been articles in Official XBox Magazine about it fairly regularly. Also, I remember another game coming out with a trailer (on TV no less) that mentioned only PS3, when it was on both systems. I imagine it's just Sony paying for advertising or maybe them using just PS3 graphics, I dunno. I do know there's like a million store-only pre-orders, though. Amazon gives you a suit and $10 off a future game. Best Buy gives you a different suit and maybe some cash off. Gamestop gives two exclusive missions Wal-Mart gives you one exclusive mission that's different from GS's and Target gives you an actual t-shirt (and/or the $5 gift card) This stuff's getting out of control.

Third Rate Gamer by far.
Granted, he's a parody of Irate Gamer as a parody of AVGN, but his videos are still hilarious in my opinion. Plus, he definitely seems to be a gamer with his non-parody videos on youtube.
That's my problem with Bores. He may have ditched being a blatant ripoff of AVGN (and let's not forget his Ghost Hunters ripoff too) But at the end of the day, he doesn't seem to have any common knowledge nor the necessary gaming skills to do the reviews. I've read he admitted to buying his game collections off ebay to get into reviewing and whether it's true or not, I wouldn't doubt it. But regardless... it's pretty simple. Either inform me or entertain me. Irate Gamer does neither.

So I picked up Pac-Man Championship Edition DX since it hit $5 this week. I only got one five minute run on it so far, but it was a lots of fun. The new ghost modes are awesome, the "bullet timing" is pretty cool and the background/music/sprite are sweet as well with some awesome retro-modern looks.
The original Championship Edition "map" is included as well which is nice as I have it on the comp disc which but am too lazy to ever load it up.
A good bit of the chivos look pretty easy to get. In the 5 minute beginner's mode round, I knocked out 70 gamerscore.
