I really hope they do the King Piccolo story as a DLC. That arc was when Dragon Ball started with the concepts that Z would be known for… for both good and bad reasons.
Plus it would be fun to play as Kid Goku, I think.

Prefacing this with I have not watched the show, but seeing clips and reading comments about it on Twitter, I think this is the most balanced take on the show I've come across, approaching it in a compliment sandwich approach.

Refreshed the thread while on lunch at work, and it went from page 270 to 290.
I see we’re at the random food discussion these major threads tend to take.

Dragon Ball:
I'm watching the King Piccolo arc for the first time, and interestingly, the narrator in the dub refers to King Piccolo as an alien at one point, when that retcon didn't happen until Z.
Since the Original Dragon Ball anime's dub wasn't done until 2002, according to the end credits, I wonder if they did that to provide better continuity between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.
Other Thoughts:
1) They could not have made it any more obvious that something was going to happen to Krillin. He was practically communicating in semaphore with all the death flags he was waving around at the end of the Tien/tournament arc.
2) The menace of Piccolo's forces is greatly reduced by the instrument theme naming. Tambourine can kinda get away with it, but Cymbal, Drum, and Piano just don't.
3) King Piccolo's leitmotif slaps.

Is it weird that KaiserNeko and Lani's commentaries have gotten me into DBZA?

"I have acquired your bootlicker" - WWE to TNA when they got TJP probably I hate how hard I laughed at this.

If a freelancer in my industry sent me an email with a Wikipedia definition I’d gladly tell them never to contact me again. The most disappointing aspect of this is even a middle school student knows that Wikipedia is not an acceptable source for anything.

I’ve resumed watching the final Stone Ocean batch.
Pucci and Weather’s backstory is all sorts of f***ed up

In Stone Ocean’s dub, Ermes calling Rikiel “the bastard with the boob window” made me laugh harder than it probably should have.

Stands have peaked. After Bohemian Rhapsody, there’s nowhere to go but down.

Going into Stone Ocean, the only thing I knew about it ahead of time was the Stand Bohemian Rhapsody.
It’s more glorious than I imagined it would be.

I do love this game (and reboot series), but there are a couple of things I have to mention to be fair: 1). They way overdid it with the 'squeeze yourself between cracks' bit. There has to be at least 20 of these. 2). The NPCs giving you hints 10 seconds after arriving at a puzzle. Seems to me they could have just had a prompt that asks if you want a hint or not. 3). This was the same with the first game, but they make this expansive, beautiful world, but the game makes sure you can only go the exact way they want you to go. So there's sections where you can't go anywhere because you just can't. But overall, I really enjoyed the experience. For point 1, I’ve seen those referred to as Loading Hallways. The game is loading everything on the opposite side of the hallways. The number of them may be a consequence of the game being on both PS4 and PS5. For point 2, I’ve heard this complaint before, and personally, if they didn’t, many of the puzzles would have taken me significantly longer to figure out. It’s apparently an accessibility thing, but yeah, the option to ask for a hint would be nice. I have nothing to say about point 3.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}"Loki will go. Atreus will remain." Me: What an incredible experience this game was. An engrossing, poignant story about not letting your past mistakes define you and using those experiences to become better because of them. There is also a magically kept alive severed head that at one point calls Odin "the All-f***er" so there really is something for everyone. Highly recommended.

O.O {Spoiler}I did not see Odin having been impersonating Tyr the entire time coming. Nor did I see Brok getting killed. Everything with the impromptu hunting distraction was so good.

{Spoiler} Boss fight against Heimdall was probably my favorite in the Norse set games so far. I liked that Kratos was trying to not give in to the prophecy, even if that backfired.
Mimir’s line afterwards about if they’re breaking date or if fate was breaking them gave me chills.

I’ve known Heimdall for five minutes, and I cannot put into words how badly I want Kratos to rip his head off with his bare hands.

When Odin first showed up, my first thought was that he looked and sounded very familiar to me, so I looked it up. He’s played by Richard Schiff.
Toby Ziegler is Odin.

FYI, if you are like me and have Elden Ring muscle memory, you can change to roll button to circle or B instead of X. I’ve not played Elden Ring, but I was playing the The Intermission thing from Final Fantasy VII Remake as this was downloading, and yes, I kept on trying to dodge with the O button.

For a moment, I was afraid this was going to be the latest tax write-off. Glad that’s not the case.
