Honestly, I don't quite see all the votes for Lesnar.
I mean, yes, the man was a powerhouse, and by WWE terms was probably one of the strongest to ever step foot into the ring.
However, there are 2 employees of the E that I would say are more than capable of "Overpowering" Lesnar, that being Mark Henry and The Great Khali.
Whether or not he's the "World's Strongest Man" is irrelevant, at this point, because in terms of the WWE roster, there's no one who can touch Mark Henry. Period.
Coming in second, like I said, is Khali. The man was a professional powerlifter long before his Tenure in WWE. It's hard to find his records, but I'll google them and post them as soon as I can.
But in terms of sheer power? C'mon, it's gotta be Mark Henry.

That's what I'm saying. I remember watching him bend a frying pan nearly in half, struggling the break the cell door open with his hands untill he finally broke the chain with his bare hands. Not to mention recently on the ECW Monster Mash Brawl, he easily picked up Khali without any hesitation. The guy is a beast. Brock doesn't come nearly as close as some would think he does.

for pure weightroom strength, i would say currently henry, even 5-10 years past his prime. but all time ted arcidi may be the strongest ever to wrestle, as he was also a legit powerlifting champion. seriously, raw, natural strength doesnt go away so easily. he may not squat 1k anymore, but i bet he easily still does 700-800, which is probably more than anyone else on the roster. brock was super explosive in the legs and back, but i doubt he could compete with a trained 'strongman' *edit:just for craps and giggles, heres ted benching 705 as if it were nothing www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8YgoixdEzU

my first pick would be Mark Henry because he really is a beast.
but the more I think about it, Brock Lesnar is a freak of nature. he could destroy Henry I think.

I'd say Henry wins.
But for wrestlers outside of former power lifters...
Goldberg. The man held Paul Wight in a vertical suplex for a few seconds.. and pumped Scott in the Press Position like 5 times.

WCW certainly, though. Even Lesnar could only snap suplex Show and did nowhere near as much lfiting as Goldberg's jackhammer.

I pick Brock Lesnar, just because of how he manhandled Hogan, Show, and Taker the way he did. Also, have you seen that dude work out? It's insanity!

From everything I've seen and read, for the past 15 years, I'd rank them like this....
1. Mark Henry 2. Brock Lesnar 3. Bill Goldberg
Andre, Big Show, Khali - they've got the size, but who knows? And don't forget Matt Morgan, who's not much smaller than those 3 and who easily manhandled the Big Show himself.

Hurricane was very powerful... being a superhero and all. And Rob Van Dam because he holds the record for a lift he invented called the Van Dam Lift (a weightlifting technique that involves performing a split between two benches and lifting a dumbbell from the floor to the waist. The lift was approved by the International All-Around Weightlifting Association in 1998, and Van Dam holds the current record, 166.5 lb). Also in 1990, RVD placed second in the Kalamazoo Heavyweight Toughman Contest.

The Arcidi raw bench press impressed me more then the guy who bench pressed 1000 with the friggin power suit (or whatever it's called)
Henry wins but besides him you got to give it to Lesnar for overall Strength.

DUDES - check the Brock vs Henry video a few posts up.
Watch the OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY suplex by brock on henry. It's perfect. Remember it's not Mysterio taking the move, it was Henry!
Then watch the F-5. Carefully. Lesnar not only gets him up, but if you look carefully he lifts him then pushes him into the air a few inches right onto his shoulder. He does not strain to lift him - it's more like he threw Henry up in the air and he landed on lensnars shoulders for the F5.
No contest - Brock is the strongest man.

Once again, I think Lesnar is being given way too much credit.
Okay, so he gave a Belly-to-belly suplex to a guy that weighs 400 pounds, and he did it effortlessly. Impressive.
He also gave the same 400 pound man an F5, a move that requires a great deal of strength. Also impressive.
Mark Henry, in his prime, could deadlift 1000 pounds. He can probably still come close to that. That's just a little more impressive. That's not Kayfabe. That's not a booked spot, that's not a wrestling finisher that usually requires some cooperation on the part of your opponent, that's just fact.

Mark Henry's strength a gimmick? If only the WWE put that much effort into every gimmick. The hurricane could have really flown, the IRS man would have really worked for the government, Ko Ko Beware would have been a real bird man hybrid. Hurricane can fly. It's science.

I'm sure he's been mentioned (feeling lazy) but if we're gonna go back a ways, why not Dino Bravo?
