It was an amazing ploy, though...not a SINGLE person around me in Edison took ANY notice of the fliers on the chairs. Nobody commented on them, nobody seemed to read them, all I saw was a ton of them on the floor, thrown off the seats.
I know I certainly didn't read it.

Honestly, HMark, when I saw them in Long Island I had two thoughts on the matter. I said "this is either some new angle or a religious thing." I realized it was an angle after the Edison show, but didn't look into it after the show (because believe me, I would have been on here talking about it the second I stumbled on the site) because I got a call from my mom during the main event involving a family emergency (which means I need to rewatch the match since I paid almost no attention to it).

I know I'm pretty late on this but about 10 minutes ago i just brought up the site to see if anything had changed not really expecting anything. But then i saw the picture of gabe and "no one is safe" and jumped out of my seat. This is really creepy and f***ing awesome! I really hope this is leading to something really really big. Kinda smells of Heyman, i know its a long shot but if he has anything to do with this i know i would mark out hard

Not to point this out but if TNA were doing this we would hear 'Oh god, Russo booking'

This is booking that has to do with long term planing and a slow build, with cool twist and turns. Something Russo just doesn't do. edit: on a second note anyone think that this could lead to the "hacking" of the official ROH site? might be a really cool touch

In that case, Russo has a weekly TV show to write, and ROH doesn't... So you could go back and forth on this all night. Nevertheless, this whole thing looks pretty cool, but it's def. "sports entertainment".

The blog has been closed.
And the only thing more interesting than what Gabe wrote is the heartfelt reponses about how they feel sorry that this is not an angle and that his family got involved and hopes that those people are brought down and the subsequent "OMG, you got worked!" responses to that and then the utter confusion of a good number of people who don't know what to think.

I'm with the people who are saying that if Gabe was sincere in that post, he would have locked it and stickied it instead of allowing speculation.

This would be an awesome angle, IMO, if it was done for a weekly TV show. But since this looks like a build up for a PPV for a promotion that only does house shows for trading tapes, this could get very annoying, before the "pay off" is even seen. Message board trolling and flame posts...*Yawn*, like the Internet really needs more of those. Although, it would be surreal, and amusing for me (who doesn't have the funds to order the DVDs) to see someone who harasses people on the Internet get confronted in a wrestling ring, on a PPV. That is something you don't see too often, and if it is Jimmy Jacobs, maybe his new pro wrestling nickname will be "the keyboard warrior", for talking so much smack online .

The last time it happened with ROH it started the ROH/CZW war. Chris Hero shut down the ROH boards and let it be known it was him and then ROH fans spammed the CZW board out of anger. This was all just a part of what was going on with Hero and it led to seven months of the hottest angle in wrestling. This is just a small part of it. We haven't seen what is on any of the soon-to-be released DVD's from June and July.

True, I just wish WWE or TNA would come up with something as cool as this...Then again, they would probably miss the point, and round up a bunch of mid-carders to form a "ghetto" version of the nWo, and have them wear ski masks, and say when they are not wrestling, they are hacking websites... Yeah, that idea would suck, hence making me believe this gimmick is way better if it's done by ROH .
