Lately we have seen a lot of missused talent, and in the past we have seen a lot of stroke being thrown around to get pushes *paging mr jarrett* And right now TNA is not where it should be with the vast talent they have.
So i ask this, what can they do to save themselves at this point:
New writters? Stop hiring WWE guys? Count there losses and close up shop? What do you think.

At this point? Is it in poor taste to make an Old Yeller joke?

I posted this in a thread earlier this week about how we'd fix TNA. I'd use Xplosion in a 'Sunday Night Heat circa 1998' type of role... Heat used to get pushed like hell 9 years ago. And if Spike's lenient, give it a Saturday morning & Sunday evening timeslot. Then instead of an iMPACT repeat Saturday night, do a recap type show like WWF LiveWire (anyone else remember that show besides me? ). Spike is just as integral to TNA's growth as is TNA itself. WWE wouldn't have ever gotten as big as it did without the help of USA & WCW wouldn't have gotten as big as they did without TBS/TNT. Just as well, I think some type of working relationship with Youtube & Dailymotion would help a great deal too. And the one person who needs to be fired from TNA the most - Not Jeff Jarrett, not Dutch Mantel, not Vince Russo - is whomever is in charge of the show production! They have the worst timing as far as cutting away, panning in or out & audio (Perfect example for audio - The Nash/Backlund promo from Final Resolution, one of the funniest promos I ever saw & practically the reason I got the Final Resolution DVD, was cut because they play the audio of Dave Penzer announcing something to the crowd in the beginning). Also, for the most part, the ring entrance themes suck. I highly doubt tha Austin, Goldberg & Hulk Hogan would have gotten over as they did without their recognizable themes & instead had generic themes like TNA has now. Don't bring in somebody who's done bumper music their whole lives, get someone who's got street-cred (did I just say that) in the music industry. And with doing that, create a relationship with their record company & use the record label's music exclusively for iMPACT's, Xplosions, PPV's, wrestler themes, etc. (like if TNA made an agreement with Rick Rubin & Warner Bros. records, they could use Rubin's creative genius to help with themes and/or use music from bands that are on the label [Metallica, Snoop Dogg, Trapt, Trust Company, Bowling for Soup, Papa Roach are just among the zillions on the WB label]). And hell, why not have TNA guys make cameo appearances on their original programming? Maybe a car themed movie marathon hosted by the Motor City Machine Guns, or having Samoa Joe appear on one of the UFC shows & put over their product in a breif interview (maybe do the same thing with a UFC guy on a TNA show). And nowwwwwwwww... TNA itself: Just make Raven your head booker with Scott D'Amore, Mike Tenay, Kevin Nash & Jim Cornette your creative team & Jeff Jarrett your head Road Agent/Head of Talent Relations (whatever Johnny Ace does in WWE [poorly might I add]). Though if/when Paul Heyman breaks free from WWE, jump on him quicker than a hiccup & make him your head booker. A working relationship with Shimmer would help establish a Women's Division tremendously ("Let the big tittied bimbos "entertain" in WWE while women wrestle in TNA!"). Christy Hemme's Final Resolution promo was boring & overdramatic, but she brought up a lot of good points (which should've started the women's division at that point IMO). Bring in Daizee Haze, Allison Danger, Sara Del Ray among others from Shimmer & also try to bring in Molly Holly & even Trish Stratus for some special appearances. And if Ivory's not busy, make her your women's road agent. Have Tracy or So Cal Val do Playboy or something. I've always found it kinda tasteless when WWE would promote the hell out of a diva doing Playboy, but PR is PR & TNA wants to get on the map, don't they? And it doesn't hurt that Leticia is doing a spread there. Also, with TNA trying to build it's women 's division, just let Valets do such spreads, it could/would hurt the credibility of their women's division IMO. A Main Event Ring Announcer would be cool. They kinda have one in Jeremy Borash, but replace him with Bob Artese or Steven DeAngelis (the ring announcers from ECW). Dave Penzer can announce everything else (but for the Bound For Glory main event, I know I'd mark if Gary Michael Capetta announced it). Also, split up Mike Tenay & Don West. Have Mike Tenay & Shane Douglas call iMPACT! & PPV's and have Jeremy Borash & Don West call Xplosion. Though if Tony Schiavone isn't busy & is motivated, I think bringing him into the broadcasting mix would be a good idea as well. Have Tenay switch to decaf while you're at it. For talent, I don't jave any specifics on who needs to feud with who or who should hold what belts (I imagine Raven & his creative crew would do a great job of that), but getting more ideas & feedback from the wrestlers would help tremendously (Instead of "Here's what you're going to do" it's "What would you like to do? How would you spin what we have here?"). Also, cut the loose ends on the roster. The flashes in the pans, the one-off appearances, the guys that just aren't getting over, the guys who ASKED FOR THEIR RELEASES, just let them go. And then, I think a serious offer should be made to Rob Van Dam. Now first let me state I'm not an RVD mark by any means & I was often bored by RVD in WWE/WWECW, but I think in TNA where leashes like the safe style & scripted promos (I'm pretty sure about the scripted promos, at least) are non existant, he could/would easily be TNA's identity (along with Samoa Joe, AJ Styles & Christian Cage). A midcard title. PLEASE! Now, a Hardcore Division has been murmured about (not by TNA but on these boards) and that I think would be a bit overkill. Butwhy not every summer or fall (when the ratings are lowest) a Hardcore-King of the Ring type of tournament? With the winner facing the midcard Champion at Bound for Glory in a match stipulation of their choosing? This is where a talent exchange with CZW could help, maybe bring in a couple of big names from ECW that are still available, even Terry Funk could referee the finals in the 1st year. I wouldn't advise too many main eventers or upper midcarders for this tournament, but it could get more exposure for Raven & Serotonin, James Storm, Homicide, etc.

TNA is a joke. I stopped watching a long time ago, and have not read anything that would make me want to again.

Fire Russo and Mantell and Angle. Job Sting out once in a while. Give Joe the Title and never take it off of him.

Nothing short of someone buying out Panda and what little the Jarretts still have, firing all the management, the writers, some of the wrestlers (your VKMs, 3Ds, Sting and, Jeff Jarretts) and then hiring some people that know how to book a wrestling show (Heyman, Bischoff, Cornette).
Otherwise, you will still have the same people who thing what we saw tonight and over the course of the last several months was a good idea still in charge.

TNA puts on my second fav show every week right behind ECW. I don't think they are that bad. Not until Dr. Kevin goes away and then we are f***ed on weeks with no Murder City Machine Guns.

If they catered to wrestling fans like they should, instead of going for the huge mainstream audience and failing they can go for the fans of actual wrestling.

One year ago I was marking for:
Petey Williams Eric Young Jim Mitchell promos Paparazzi Productions Sabin's run for the X-Division Title
Since then:
Petey Williams had a 20-minute feud with LAX and then James Storm, before falling into the abyss known as Xplosion.
EY has spent 9 months and counting feuding with Robert Roode. He's not even allowed to do the simple things that helped make him popular (i.e. Leading the front row into the Impact Zone, doing stupid wacky promos and hailing from an undisclosed location).
Jim Mitchell's promos made me excited to watch any Abyss match, even useless ones, like against Brother Runt. Then came the Abyss-Sting-Jim Mitchell feud and Mitchell has basically been gone since April. If you ask me, he should have been back before Abyss.
PP's skits wavered in their hilarity. They feuded with Sabin, Lethal & Dutt, but within a year Shelly & Nash became associated with all 3. Shelley & Starr began teaming, and then feuded, but only had one match before both went their own way. Nash's allegences are harder to figure out then Angle's. And now Shelley & Sabin team and all is forgotten.
Despite the Jackass crap, Sabin finally won the X Title...which he promptly lost two days later. He developed a cocky attitude that led to a series of matches with Jerry Lynn, regained the X Title. Had 2 dozen 3-ways for the title and only retained b/c his opponents couldn't get along. He finally loses the title to a guy who promptly drops the belt 2 days later.

I don't think TNA has even fathomed how badly they killed thier credibility by more or less stripping the X division and tag titles off logical holders(Hate team 3D all ya want but at least they were a tag team), THEN giving all the belts to one person. Want to try for the Xdivision belt? Oh, I'm sorry, see you have to wait three months as we're building a feud for the heavyweight title for Bound For Glory.

A lot would save TNA at this point. I just hope it's implemented. At the rate they're going, they'll be on the same level as WCW 2000 by the end of the year.

You also left out the part where Jay Lethal gets a personality, then gets the X-Division title, and loses it the VERY NEXT SHOW to Samoa Joe...who then doesn't defend it except against Kurt Freaking Angle. Oh wait I just realized you mentioned it at the bottom, nevermind. I really need to stop skimming
