Alright, so, I started a new game with a brand new company, the National Wrestling League (NWL).
I have a pretty good roster, good shows and I'm beating TNA in our 'war', but my public imagine is dropping like crazy. Anyone know a possible reason why? I can't seem to find the problem.

what do your weekly messages from Sophie say? It'll tell you the problem(s). It be either of these three things, or any combination of them.
-TNA's workers are more talented than yours -TNA has better star power than you(ie more over stars) -TNA's production values are higher, making them look more professional.

I get a combination of the three, and it states that I'm better than TNA in all of them.

Something I'm not quite clear on: When you buy out another company, are they absorbed into yours, or can you run them seperately?

You can't run them separately... basically all of that promotion's wrestlers get added to your roster with Open contracts. So you can release anyone you don't want without having to pay them out. You also get their title belts, which I believe are automatically vacated. Also on an unrelated note, just an FYI for everyone: img156.imageshack.us/img156/25/untitledbx4.jpg ;D

or you can do corperate destruction, which is exactly what it sounds like. No contracts or titles are carried over whatsoever

Damn. Thanks guys. I was hoping to run them seperately, like Jim Crockett initially (at least claimed he) planned to do with the UWF. My roster is always crowded as is, so it would be tricky for me to pull it off.

Just started another WWE game. Instead of signing up a bunch of available talent (Joe, Daniels, Christian etc) I've only reduced my roster and seeing how the other feds compete.
Only done one Raw and one ECW on Sci-Fi, making a Smackdown card now.
Champs:
World - Undertaker IC - Kane US - Jeff Hardy Tag - Edge & Randy Orton ECW World - Diamond Dallas Page ECW Tag - Cade & Murdoch.
Feuds:
DX (Michaels & HHH) vs. Edge & Orton. Cena vs. Undertaker (Undertaker just turned heel on Cena in a tag match) CM Punk vs. DDP (I just figured this would be fun; up and comer against old timer) Dreamer & Sandman vs. Cade & Murdoch

Ok, I've just reneged on my own promise and just signed Cage, Joe, Daniels and Low Ki. Hmm.

I'm a sad Panda. One month after I went global, NOAH announced their roster for the year, and Danielson, Nigel, Kobashi, and KENTA decided they didn't want to work for a global company anymore. There goes my world champ.

There goes my world champ. My first game I went nuts with the arsenik editor and just took who I wanted. Then I corrupted the file...oops. To greedy I guess. I started over with TNA again and the first thing I did was pretty much wipe out anyone I couldn't lock down to a written contract with very few exceptions. Christian Cage, Harris and Storm....I think thats it actually. I signed everyone else I wanted. dumped shark boy and his drug problem and dumped hoyt when he went into rehab. I hired a few inexpensive guys and am currently getting The naturals over with the briscoes, team 3d and the machine guns. I just hired the hardcore ninjaz for fun and gave them some random asian woman as a mouthpiece. I am looking to work them up as well and then when I have the ability I'll "retire" team 3d ( already booted VKM and the steiners ) and have a tag division of the briscoes, the Dibiase bros. Motor city machine guns, the naturals, Frankie Kazarian & Johnny devine, The hardcore ninjaz (for fun) and a few part time teams with left overs like guys who are not in title pictures but I want on the show.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the ultimate throwdown is about to begin. TNA and WWE are both Global with 93 P.I., and I'm booking ROH - Global with 64 P.I.
Let the games begin.

Hey here's something funny. Linda McMahon retired and no longer owns WWE. Guess who replaced her? Jacques Rougeau. And he brought WWE's risk level down to 10%. Yeah. On an unrelated note, I can afford to pay Lex Luger. I just don't want to. Risk level 10%! Haha ... we only want small kids watching our show!! lol. (Month later Undertaker is fired for creating mild peril!!

How unethical would it be to do this? Sign AAA's(my nearest competitor) most talented worker to an open deal(can't sign him exclusivly) and book him in ladder matches that he constantly loses via sick bump, hoping he gets hurt? They'll probably just refuse. On a related issue: On my 1985 scenario, Scott Steiner is injured and out for 16 months. Should I pay off the rest of his contract (5 months) or will I lose the respect of the boys if I do that?
