Guys this is so easy and no one's catching it.It's former WSX champion Ricky Banderas yeah I was wandering this. cos like the already announced earlier that a former world champ was coming to TNA. Then Bandares did that under the ring thing. Then blabed his mouth about the storyline, so it got put back a while. I just wander whether or not, because TNA still feel he has not officially debuted, that they are still classing him as the former-world champion that is about to arrive in TNA. Hopefully both announcements were not in regards to banderas. and this new announcement is talking about someone else. The former World Champ last time was Test. He was a former World Tag Team champ. I think.

If this is Banderas I riot.

it shouldn't be banderas. as big of a let down as test the last world champion was, he actually held a title that is called a world title. the wsx championship was not called a world title, so therefore i believe it will not be him. why would they "be in talks" with him if he is already with them and has been seen on their show (bits and pieces in mitchell promos)?

Technically, all they've said is that it's going to be a major announcement. They never said the announcement has anything to do with a World Champion. The announcement is supposedly going to be the start of their 2 hour show.
Anyway, in answer to this poll, Rene Dupree (and his boner!).

The "newz" this week surrounding Jericho's almost definite return to the WWE is much like Angle's "newz" last year with MMA the week of the PPV, since Dixie Carter, Jarrett, and Kurt wanted to swerve the 'net.
Meltzer also said a month back on his radio show that he knows for a fact that Jericho's been watching a lot of TNA lately, paying very close attention to the product, and that he's really great friends with Christian, who absolutely loves it in TNA, and has nothing but great things to say about his experience there.
I know it's highly, highly doubtful, but Jericho to TNA wouldn't shock me.

Although I want to see RVD vs Styles and others, I just don't want to see him get lost in the shuffle of TNA and then having some weird gimmicky matches

WWE is throwing 7 figure deals at Jericho, so I highly doubt that he would choose TNA over WWE, plus Jericho appearing in WWE gets an immediate storyline against Cena

We all know how much he loves to work the Internet.

Why does Jericho appearing in WWE guarantee a Cena storyline? Just asking.

Why does Jericho appearing in WWE guarantee a Cena storyline? Just asking. Well, Cena is the storyline reason why Jericho is no longer working for WWE. But, knowing WWE, they wouldn't follow up on that.

Why does Jericho appearing in WWE guarantee a Cena storyline? Just asking. I think they meant because he lost a loser leaves town-type match to Cena at the end of his WWE contract. Storyline wise, Cena got him fired from WWE.

I've seen this posted on a couple of newz sites that presumably steal stuff from the latest Observer (this wasn't in this week's Torch)...
Scott Hall Possibly Returning To TNA Wrestling?
Feelers have been sent out to Scott Hall now that he's gotten back in shape. Hall made a return to the ring in July. He won the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship within two days of his return and is the reigning champion in Carlos Colon's WWC. AAA is also interested in booking WWC Universal Champion Scott Hall for the promotion's Verando de Escandalo show on September 16th in Guadalajara. Sean Waltman recommended him to the company, since Hall has returned to ring shape. TNA has also sent out feelers to Hall. Hall will be turning 49 years old next month. He last appeared in TNA in January 2005.
...And just in case anyone asks, yes, Scott Hall was a world champion. From 1993-97, he was the World Champion of Being Awesome.

As far as I'm concerned, Hall wouldn't even need to wrestle! Just put him with Nash and the X-Division. Can you imagine how awesome that would be?

Some speculation from PWInsider:
*Mike's Talent Conjecture: The most obvious major names seem to be (in order of my own personal guesses) Paul "Big Show" Wight (who is extremely close with Kurt Angle and lives in Florida), Chris Jericho (Florida-based, TNA has wanted him for months and months and he does have a book coming out plus who knows how he feels about WWE in the aftermath of the Chris Benoit tragedy), Goldberg (extreme long shot in my opinion, as they never seemed to get on the same page during discussions and I don't know that the audience watching would care), Brock Lesnar (someone they've wanted who is also close to Angle, but that would kill his UFC plans since Dana White doesn't want active pro wrestlers fighting MMA and his name was dropped a ton last night) or Rob Van Dam (My gut tells me RVD would want more time off, but you never know; I don't see it at this point). I don't see Booker T or Ric Flair because whether they are at odds with WWE or not right now or not, I've heard nothing that leads me to believe they are free to leave and work elsewhere. Secondary possibilities I could see are Sid Vicious (I just don't see it but he's still in awesome shape and is still a monster), Ken Shamrock (long shot), or Sabu (I'd be shocked if he wasn't back in TNA by the end of the year) or even a name like Amy Dumas who would technically be a "former" World champion, but I don't believe any of those names would not be considered a letdown by those watching. If it's not a major name, TNA would be better served not to announce anything.
My best guess would be Big Show. I think if Jericho does return to wrestling, it will be in WWE. Lesnar is a long shot at best.

To add to that, from the same article: I am told there has indeed been a "TNA talent acquisition" (source's words, not mine) that should be announced tonight in the form of some sort of video package or promo. Whoever that talent is, that person is not expected to appear live in the Impact Zone and was not named during production meetings earlier today. As of this writing, I don't know who it could be. TNA has been hinting in recent days that they were negotiating with a former World champion.
