Hey, Jay wasn't given the shot. He won it in a match for it versus Daniels. Daniels had a 50-50 shot to keep it like Abyss did versus Cage, but he ended up losing it.

I like TNA, but their booking has been terrible in 2007. This news - that TNA would hire someone who wrestles as poorly as Rikishi instead of promoting the great talent they already have, like AJ Styles and the x-division, REALLY pisses me off. TNA is digging its own grave. This is WCW-like stupidity. Yeah, cause AJ Styles & the X-Division are Samoan......... Wait. NO THEY'RE NOT! Cage called out a Samoan for Joe to bring in. Not a random guy, a Samoan. Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't watch that episode, so the circumstances behind Rikishi's appearnace were totally oblivious to me. I was merely reacting to the news of Rikishi being in TNA. In my opinion, the last thing that TNA needs to do is waste money and exposure on someone who is as poor a wrestler as Rikishi (especially given how poorly TNA is pushing its homegrown talent, like pretty much all the x-division wrestlers not named Joe)

Lethal's beaten Daniels before, so Daniels had something to prove. His beating Lethal was not that big of a deal.

He's great in the ring for what he is... Or at least he was the last time I saw him.

That's the thing: Rikishi was pretty good in WWE, especially around his IC Title reign. He doesn't look to be in great shape nowadays, though.

Concerning Matt Morgan, I was glad that when he took off his shirt he had a fairly normal physique. Pretty wel-toned, yet not obviously roided out. Because that's the last thing the wrestling world needs.

When I think of talented, large wrestlers, I think of the likes of Vader, Bam Bam Bigelow, and The Headhunters. Rikishi is nothing but a fatass whose moveset is a joke. Even Yokozuna could put on more entertaining matches than Rikishi. If I wanted to be entertained by a 'hip' fat man, I'd revisit my video collection for PN News.

I think when that luchadore Shocker debuted on TNA, they refered to him as "the guy from the MacDonald's commercial".
Just what I heard, so I could be wrong.

Because that's the last thing the wrestling world needs. Morgan is one person that they're handling well in my opinion. His first appearance was on TNA Today and JB said, "What is he doing here?" which could be annoying if they were wanting us to remember the stuttering superstar Matt Morgan. However, since being on TV, he has been Cornette's silent muscle. A big guy who doesn't take anything and will break up any fight he is told to break up (which included stopping a rampaging Joe). Now that he's talked, he's handled himself as just a big tough guy. He doesn't back down. He doesn't rely on the fact that "He was a former WWE Superstar!" I'm very thankful about that. While I do hope that Rikishi doesn't stick around, he is not a "poor" wrestler. He's great in the ring for what he is... Or at least he was the last time I saw him. I disagree. At least Rikishi can make a closeline look deadly. That'll be nice when Tomko hits the Lariatomkooooooooo!

I'm just surprized that they were able to say the name "Rikishi". If they add the caveat "Formerly known as..." they can say it. Examples include "The man formerly known as Billy Gunn", "B.G. & Kip James, formerly known as the New Age Outlaws", "Rhino, formerly known as Rhyno" that sort of thing.

You know, I wonder if TNA has to pay WWE every time they say "THE MAN FORMERLY KNOWN AS..."
Seriously. Did WCW ever say "Big Bubba! The man formerly known as the Big Boss Man!"?

No, as he was Big Bubba before he was the Boss Man, but I think on commentary sometimes Ventura and Heenan would call him Boss Man by accident out of habit I suppose when he was called "The Boss".

On his jacket it was written "kishi wear" it's his clothing label or a way to get around trademarked names. Tenay acknowledged him formely known as ">" which imo is better then saying "OMG IS THAT RIKISHI NO ITS JNR FATU WTF like the FED does.
The Fed has a problem with placing people on the debut list every once in a while when their gimmiks fail. I really liked Kishis intro music sounds mad.

That monster was a disappointment. I really don't think Abyss should be scared of someone who's clearly about a hundred pounds and several inches smaller than him.

I'm thinking that the reasoning behind not using the "Kishi" name that he's used in the indies is something similar to Senshi. He didn't want to give up the rights to that name to TNA.

Concerning Tenay, that promo with Karen when Sting came out was ok until both Tenay & West felt the need to elaborate to us that Karen Angle was full of it with a non stopping "oooooh aaaah cmoooon". Marks the first time i put those two on MUTE, propably not the last.
