I disagree. Davey needs a good swift kick in the back of the head. And Gabe might too, for CONTINUALLY allowing him to act like Benoit down to manneurisms (he does the throat cutting thing) in an attempt for cheap heat, because this isn't the first time he pulled the Benoit act out. And yet nobody's jumping all over Elijah Burke for using the rolling Germans. This is a ridiculous double standard at play here. Just saying. Eventually we all have to just get past it and move on. Anybody shouting something in direct reference to Daniel's death is being a douchebag trying to get himself over and it is never right to have said it, no matter what. Well, to be fair, Burke using the Germans is less of a direct reference than the crossface. Angle and many others have also done the move, and Burke was supposed to be working Stevie's neck, and did just that. Still, I think the attitude of fans, acting like one guy owns a move forever, is a little stupid, to say the very least. The Daniel comment was disgusting.

If a finishing move is some piledriver variant or a flying elbow, that MAY evoke memories of Macho Man or the Undertaker, but it might not. If a person were to do a flying headbutt..... that can only be an intentional reference to one man. And yes, I may have been tempted to hurt a wrestling fan who made the 'good night' comment if I had been there. Truly appalling.

The worst part about reading Bryan Alvarez's writing is hearing his whiny voice in my head the entire time. Plus, starting out sentences with "I mean,..." is an example of terrible writing.
Just awful. Third grade stuff. I mean, I'm sorry, but it is. We already know what you mean. That's why you're writing it. Also, CAPITALIZING ENTIRE WORDS all of the time to ACCENTUATE YOUR POINTS is bush league, too. We've all done it on message boards (I do), but it's total amateur hour if you're still doing that in a publication. Professional writers are supposed to make points with their WORDS, not their SHIFT KEY.
I appreciate the first poster taking the time to bring us the newz though.

If you know Alverez and his empire, You know what to expect. He's not the "media", he far from a Journalist. He's just a indy wrestler, part time Meltzer's butt buddy.
As for the Richards stuff, the "goodnight Daniel" is awful but if Richards is doing the crossface as some sort of heel heat move, he's much worse. I hope that's not true. The headbutt and Rolling Germans doesn't bother me but who else does the crossface?

Big John Radocaj, 43, was found dead Friday of "blunt force trauma" at this home in Armstrong, MB. He got into wrestling after a gas station that he was working at was held up and a wrestling promoter saw the 6-9, 275-pound Radocaj on TV and told him to get into the business. He worked around Central Canada in the early 80s, then got into an early form of MMA (it was largely just US sumo) promoted by Walter Shefchyk in 1985. He was so big that guys couldn't force him out of the circle. His wife had gotten a restraining order against him in July and filed for divorce in August. Police are investigating the death as a homicide. I live in MB (Manitoba) and I've been following this through the local papers and it is one of the weirdest news item. It involves organized crime, street gangs, drugs and obvisious martial problems. It seems as if John Radocaj married the wrong wrong girl. It's a really sad story.

Anybody shouting something in direct reference to Daniel's death is being a douchebag trying to get himself over and it is never right to have said it, no matter what. Of course the dude's being a douche and shouldn't have said it, but the simple fact of the matter is that Davey IS trying to act like Benoit. Burke's not doing Benoit taunts and he (obviously) doesn't even bear a remote resemblance to him (whereas Davey does have a very slight Benoit look to him). At MMII, I took Davey's side and said it was all a big coincidence. The fact of the matter is he's trying to get the worst kind of cheap heat because he keeps smurfing doing it. *Sigh* Did you ever think that maybe Davey was/is doing a TRIBUTE to him, since Benoit is one of his three favorite wrestlers?

Apparently when Delirious figured out that Sydal was smurfed up he tried to take it home, but Sydal, who couldn't remember what he was supposed to do next, kept kicking out of things and refusing to submit. Delirious finally pinned him and Sydal, still messed up, went right to the back without giving any speech. Apparently he couldn’t remember any of the match that night or even the next day. Protect your head, kids. This reminds me of the Cactus Jack/Sandman match from Foley's dvd where he kept getting up since he had a concussion. It's also punctuated by some great commentary by Sandman on a Botchamania, one of the recent ones

Look, I'm not going to get into this argument. That might be the case...but it's very, very stupid to do a "tribute" to him right now and not expect the kind of reactions and, in some cases, visceral hatred he is receiving.

So giving a 'tribute' to a child killer isn't offensive?
Because WWE apologized for doing so.
