More Kikaturo.
And a midget like Guapito.
And Davey Richards putting Fred Durst in a cross face while the lead singer from Smashing Pumpkins hits him with a guitar for being stupid. WIN

Errrr, not a big one. How many people in ROH's market even watch wrestling from Mexico? I doubt many people in the Northeast and Midwest have even seen a match, or atleast not enough to justify flying a luchadore from Mexico in for a show.
If this was 1995 I'd agree with you, but the Misterio's and Psicosis' have been replaced with the CIMA's and Marufuji's it seems. Although, that doesn't mean ROH won't do a "check this out" match some time in the future.

Lucha is way more popular in the states today than it was in 95.

But not nearly as many that watch puroresu. And I rarely see anyone mention lucha in ROH - I really don't see a guy like Mistico drawing big in, say, Chicago Ridge. Maybe Philadelphia, but even that's a stretch. This isn't California or Texas, the average ROH fan doesn't care about Perro Aguayo. What? Lots of people that watch ROH watch Lucha. There was also a show with El Santo Saying Davey Richards draws better than El Hijo del Santo is like saying Brooklyn Brawler draws better than Hulk Hogan.

I would love to see Santo/Danielson or GDI/Briscoes. But I know that will never happen. And one of the biggest markets for Lucha in the USA is Chicago, Iowa and Georgia.

I agree with having Prazak and Leonard doing the recap videos as well. That would be nice and sort of helpful.
Also, I really don't see lucha coming into ROH just because of who the booker is. Gabe doesn't like lucha. At all.

I agree that ROH should get more lucha, one of the things that set ECW apart was it's lucha wrestlers, and look where they went, namely Rey Mysterio. Plus, tell me lucha vs. puro aren't entertaining matches.

There is a lucha promotion in Chicago that (usually) runs a monthly show at the Congress theater and from what I hear draws very well and brings in some big lucha wrestlers. The only problem (for me) is that they run on a Sunday afternoon and fighting traffic to get in/out of logan square is tough. But with that said, I highly doubt many of the people that watch lucha at the congress go to ROH on the south side

Pretty much. I think sometimes people maybe think "storylines" must = soap opera. I'd say that "soap opera" makes a good umbrella term for every storyline, including ones where the desire to win a belt is the main focus.

Few recommendations:
- An honest to goodness hoss! I know people bitch and complain about the WWE hiring nothing but hosses, then ROH is the polar opposite. When guys like Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens are considered the "monsters" of ROH then something's wrong. There are many talented big men, but none seem to get any sort of play in ROH.
- SEPARATE MOVESETS! This is my biggest complaint with ROH. The majority of the locker room seems to use the same moves, often times turning a show into "Hey, I wonder how many Enziguris I can see tonight?". ECW had so many varying styles (From Taz's technical style to Mike Awesome's 99,000 variations of the Awesome-Bomb to Sabu's homicidal streak) that made each wrestler worth watching for what they did. ROH seems to turn into an almost tech-demonstration of what could happen in a wrestling ring rather than an actual match.

When guys like Roderick Strong and Erick Stevens are considered the "monsters" of ROH then something's wrong. There are many talented big men, but none seem to get any sort of play in ROH. ROH does have bigger men on the roster (Claudio and Morishima are both quite big), but they won't ever hire a "hoss" since a "hoss" is by definition untalented in the ring. Now, if there was a big guy who wasn't asking WWE prices and was good in the ring, I see no reason why they wouldn't hire one...other than the fact that, you know, ROH is trying to be different from the WWE. I'm going to disagree with you there about everyone doing the same thing, but maybe that's just me.

I too would like to see the announcers do more than just call the matches. Maybe not to the level of Joey Styles in ECW, but a bit more involvement wouldn't hurt. And what's the deal with Gabe and Konnan?

And what's the deal with Gabe and Konnan? In 2002, Konnan was brought in to work a match and tried to do lucha, but sucked royally and botched just about everything. He was also blown up pretty early in the match, so that might've put him off on lucha. Konnan was brought in in late 2006 as part of the Cornette/Homicide feud but only in a managerial role.
