Five minutes into part one and I already want to slap Hayes. Good news! He gets MORE irritating as it goes on.

I enjoyed hearing J.R. say 'I wish we had twenty guys like him right now, quite frankly' in relation to Bret Hart.
If he had a bigger role in the booking side of things, I feel like the shows would be more towards my tastes ... a focus on strong WRESTLING personalities.
My opinion is only re-enforced by,
'I'm not a size guy, where you say 'We're going to recruit these guys, they all have to be 6'2 and 250.' That's jackass dumb.'
Thank you for posting this, by the by.
And yes, Hayes could stand to be quiet and let people speak for once.

I like (and respect) that Bischoff admits to not seeing things like the creation of the 'Vince McMahon' character as factors to WWF coming back in the ratings, etc.
All too often, people will look at past mistakes and convince themselves that they saw it coming, when in reality, it blindsided them.

Okay, I love listening to King, J.R., Foley and Bischoff speak so openly about things like this.
And Hayes is SO F***IN' DISTRACTING whenever he butts in that he almost ruins that.
If they do another one of these, they REALLY need to not include him.

I'd love to see one about ECW. JR as moderator, King and Bischoff as the "con" side, and Heyman and Tommy Dreamer as the "pro" side. Now that would be good.
But I doubt we'll ever see that.

Could you shed some light on Lawler's dislike of ECW? Has he ever stated a reason for it, outside of his character saying that it's garbage wrestling?

Well, dunno what his personal reasons are, but I'd assume its similar to Cornette's hate, as Cornette and Lawler are both old-school southern guys. And even if he doesn't "hate", I'm sure some of his character against ECW was genuine.

I think most of Lawler's antipathy toward ECW is a work. It's pretty well-known that he likes RVD.

But you could say that RVD is more competent at working your everyday match than say Sandman or Sabu who only really shine in hardcore matches.

They should have put something like this on the DVD I know, they should since the Monday Night War dvd from a long time ago is a little bit out dated now. And I would buy it.

I forgot how big the pop was when Foley won the title. Ironically, I think I didn't bother watching Raw that night because I knew what was going to happen. Not that I wasn't a fan of the title change, just that Nitro was live and I had no idea what would be happening on that show. I may have switched over to see the end of the match but I can't really remember. I saw that Nitro, too. MAN, did we miss out.... And for what? A fingerpoke and "Stalker Goldberg" segments. I was AT that Nitro, and yes it was very boring with all those Goldberg videos.
