I'm still trying to figure out how a show that showed nothing but kids getting injured lasted longer and had a celeb top ten countdown while mtv thought WSX was too violent.

I think had WSX been on a different network than MTV....it'd still be around today. MTV has become the network for 13 year old girls, and not too many 13 year old girls want to watch crazy wrestling. Agreed. If it didn't have TNA, I think Spike would have been a perfect choice. Being the "guy network" (which by the way is terribly stupid to me as far as channel 'gimmicks') it makes sense for wacky ass wrestling to be on it. I also think F/X could have been fine. Imagine, WSX followed by Nip/Tuck. THAT is TV gold.

Getting it.
Just because I loved WSX.
And that's reason enough for me.

That press release is awesome but it becomes 25.39% more awesome when you imagine their overly excited ring announcer reading it aloud.
And I am getting this no matter what since it was complete and total campy fun, like a B-movie

I nearly forgot about WSX. And yes, Firefly and Freaks and Geeks were way too go for the average person. Along with Arrested Development. EDIT: One way or another I will get this due to Jimmy Jacobs. HUSS HUSS HUSS HUSS HUSS HUSS! I would like to add Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip to this list of shows which were too good for the average person. Also, Undeclaredwas fantastic 'teen TV' and was ridiculously underrated. I will be buying this DVD- I thought WSX sounded cool and was at least something different. It reminded me a lot of FMW in some ways. I just wish it had gone on to a network which wasn't MTV and was given hour long episodes. It had a lot of potential IMO.

This show was awful, and that's why I love it. I am buying it for certain.
It was just so ridiculous. I loved the backstage skits before the battle royal in the first episode.
The one thing I really hated, though, was the ring announcer. He was TERRIBLE.
Made me laugh out loud that these matches are such shameless spotfests that they have ten-minute time limits.

WSX did one thing. It set professional wrestling back 20 years by having a warning at the top of every show saying "These stunts..." A good majority of the public just thinks all wrestlers are stuntmen and this did nothing but push that.

Although having that warning during a Jack Evans match isn't far off, it's still stupid.

No Joey Ryan on the cover? PERMA-NON SOLD WSX did one thing. It set professional wrestling back 20 years by having a warning at the top of every show saying "These stunts..." A good majority of the public just thinks all wrestlers are stuntmen and this did nothing but push that. Damn, it set it back to the 80s, when wrestling was fun and smarks didn't whine about everything? ASSHOLES

I will probably buy it just so I can see the INFAMOUS fireball that MTV refused to air. Didnt Vampiro catch the fireball with his face? Thats a big plus right there.
