No Joey Ryan on the cover? PERMA-NON SOLD Damn, it set it back to the 80s, when wrestling was fun and smarks didn't whine about everything? ASSHOLES WRESTLING is still fun. Stunt shows on the other hand, not so much. Tell that to the people that go to the Waterworld show at Universal Studios. 1/18th of the movie and 18x better. Oh yeah, it comes out to all the major stores, derrrtysouth. I just wanna see the wacky Team Dragongate/Yakuza storyline. I remember they kidnapped some guy and that's about it. Oh yeah, and Jack Evans kicking some guy backstage because he wanted an autograph or some shit.

I was checking out my only WSX tape and I remembered that, other than Jesus having HORRIBLE acting skills, I saw the future Mrs. Of the Fall[/JBL], Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black, cutting a promo.
------------------------------------------------
*After losing a match to 'That 70's Team'*
Black: AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! Jimmy! Where were you out there tonight?!
Jacobs: Bro, Bro Bro. Relax. dude. Dude, I know we lost, but I got a plan.
*Jimmy pulls out acoustic guitar as smooth music plays*
Jacobs: aaaaaaaaaaah.......
Black: Is this a joke?!
Jacobs: No, dude. just tell me your feelings. We're gonna get them all out. We're gonna put 'em all out.....
*smooth music turns to thrash music*
Black: Jimmy! I'm sore! I'm angry! And.........and I'm... and I'm hurt.
*thrash music turns to smooth music*
Jacobs: Good! Good! Good! See, fear is the heart of love, and laced in the tears of defeat, we'll sore on the wings of the dove......to victory.
*smooth music turns to thrash music*
Black: Jimmy! Do you not get it? We lost tonight! We! Lost! and the worst part? We lost! To a bunch! Of hippies!
*thrash music turns to smooth music*
Jacobs: But, but, that girl, dude. I could have found love. Look at the bigger picture, man!
*Jacobs plucks a sting on the guitar, as CGI flowers shoot out of it*
Jacobs: Isn't that nice, dude? Chill, bro. See.....
*Black grabs an electric guitar and walks out of frame*
Black: Grrr!
*offscreen, Black plays thrash music*
Black: I HATE SEVEN DAYS!!!!!!! BURN!!!!!IN!!!!!!!HELL!!!!!!!!!
Jacobs: Good. Let it out bro, let.... just, relax. Let it out.....
------------------------------------------------
Someone needs to upload that on youtube when it comes out, cause that was gold.

WSX falls into the "If you don't take it seriously, its mindless fun" category. I kinda liked it. It came, exploded 80 times, and went. Now if THAT isn't a reputation, I don't know what is.

WSX did one thing. It set professional wrestling back 20 years by having a warning at the top of every show saying "These stunts..." A good majority of the public just thinks all wrestlers are stuntmen and this did nothing but push that. A good majority of the public also didn't watch this show. Just sayin'.

I've seen all of it, and most of the WSXTras, I may check out the DVD if the extras are good.
Some good stuff on that show, some unmitigated crap, and the worst announcer ever (the guy who introduces the show.)

Did the guy who ran the promotion write that press release? Sheesh. Anything that includes "Shaken to the core" is BS. I never watched it, just think the press release is overboard. Guess it needed to be The show itself was extremely over the top, why not the press release??? I mean, it's not like they seriously think they struck fear into the WWE. I always liked the over-the-top showyness of it.

That is the most gloriously entertaining BSPR(Bullcrap public relations) press release I've ever read. I doubt "the front offices" of WWE and TNA ever thought about WSX longer than "Wow, we've got nothing to worry about". Agreed. The only thing that WSX had going for it was MTV, and look what happened with that.

I would have love to have gone to one of their shows, but I think it was restricted to paid extras. They probably didn't want any purists or dicks from the internet (not meant to offend) burying their show.

Actually they didn't want people who didn't fit MTV's "look" Which right there pissed me off immensely about WSX. I hate when people try to control every little aspect of their show to make it absolutely artificial. Of course, in a company where they posted in explosions and sweetened sound effects, I guess that's a minor point.

Was anybody able to get it? I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. 2 1/2 hours, 6 different stores, nothing. I hate Arizona so damn much.

I made it a point to look for the CHIKARA DVD instead of the WSX DVD.
I like to think I did my part.
