I like FPW, but I don't kno, I don't like the no selling in the game. That really bothers me the most.

I'll be getting it just for the 500 CAW slots. I've got about 160 CAWs (none of them based on real wrestlers) that need to be made. FR is the only game that can handle more than 32.

Also, one thing that REALLY bothers me is that for a game with so many freakin moves, I can't get a Sabu "Triple Jump Moonsault"? Granted, the last one I played as the DC one, but still.

I consider myself a master at the GBA versions so I can't wait to play it on a console. I haven't done that since the PS1 Version I had an import of.
Yes, I can beat the computer on 10 in the GBA one. I rule (though I can't win a damn test of strength on that level)

No, the number one complaint is going to be the controls, because if you've never played KoC or Fire Pro and it's your first time, you're in for a surprise with the controls. Yup. I bought FP2 for GBA and it'll ensure I don't pick up any of more of the series. Sorry, but I don't like video games that I have to strangle in order to do the simplest things. Sorry if that makes me a 'n00b'. Dont know how differnt it is to the first firepro on the Gba but i found the controls fairly easy to pick up. Granted i only play with CAWs but i give them all the same sort of "basic moves" as standard so its easier to remember (ie: a simple B grab, is a go behind, and AB over a face up opponent is a pin) The only thing with the game that i have a problem with is that i end up sooo freakin tired whilst my opponent who has taken a beating is always straight abck to their feet, tho after reading this thread i think ive worked out where im going wrong (ive only had the game a few weeks and it had no manual)

I have Fire Pro D for Dreamcast, and, to me, at least, the controls aren't anywhere NEAR as painfully complicated as some folks make them out to be. It's Japanese so it was pretty much impossible to create a character in it, but if the CAW mode has the King Cobra hold in it, I'm going to go back to EB Games and rub my genitals all over every copy they have. And also on the guy who sold it to me.
Also, even if it had the worst controls ever...Electrified. Steel. Cage. Time. Bomb. DEATH. MATCH.

I am quite psyched for the game, but I too have never played Fire Pro before. If it's as good as (the majority of) you guys say it is, it sounds like a great alternative to WWE games. I'll put it to you this way. Fire Pro is perhaps the only wrestling game that I've played where I don't actually feel bad losing in certain matches. Why, because I don't feel like I was cheated or the computer was given an unfair advantage. I makee a mistake, and the opponent takes advantage, and beat me. There have been more than a few matches where after I lost, I go "Well damn he was the better man." Sweet, thanks for the info.

Word. What's crazy is that that's the lowest rated FPW game on the site. The GBA games and FPW Z all scored over an 8. I have this bad feeling if people saw that, they'd be turned off from getting it. And I still loathe that cover. I would rather have the stylish Japanese cover.

I'm kinda not too happy about gamespot saying "This game might have been better served as an Xbox Live Arcade or PSN download, but for $15, any PS2 owner who likes wrestling really ought to try it out."
First off, I doubt it could've fit within file size parameters. Second off, I would gladly pay so much as $100 for this game, much less $15, because that's money that THQ wouldn't be getting.
EDIT: Then again I think they made up for that little line by what they captioned their first picture with
"Hey, is that Sting? And Kevin Nash? Did we just time warp into a WCW game from the mid-90s? Or last weekend's TNA pay-per-view? Oh well, same difference." ;D

"This game might have been better served as an Xbox Live Arcade or PSN download" I agree with this somewhat, because if it were an Xbox Live Arcade game I'd be able to play it at the same time as all you guys in the US instead of having to wait possibly forever for the PAL version to be released.

Yeah but they'd have to cut things out to get it to fit the memory requirements i think.

Y'know what I hate about it? It's hard to f***ing find! Not at Wal*Mart, GameStop, or even the movie and game rental stores in town.... geez....
Guess I'll have to order it online.

Psy, remember...it ships today. Doesn't mean it'll be on shelves immediately. I talked to the guys at GameCrazy, and they said it'd be available Friday. Even then, if you're looking for it at a retailer, it still might be hard to find. Finding stuff like this is getting harder and harder on the first week. Hell, it took me 2 weeks to find a copy of Dethalbum, and when I did, they ahd a ton of them. First week, nothing.

Well, there's also the consideration that I don't have a 360. Did you ever consider that? Huh? ;D

They offered Warhawk for download after all, and that is by no means a small game.

Anyways, ok, didn't know about the Halo 1 thing so maybe they could have done it as downloads. Still it's not like it would've cost that much less

This game is teh suck, it doesn't even have a Locker Room with Torrie Wilson buttsecks posters!!!!
Just kidding, I will definitely buy this if I see it on a store shelf. I have never playeda Fire Pro game before because I never had all the technology to play Japanese games, but I've always wanted to.

f***, I hate Amazon and their "LOLZ, 1-2 months shippingz".
Also, the stores I've called haven't even HEARD of this game, let alone have a release date.
