I heard Sabu botched breathing one day.
...
It wasn't pretty.

Well I mean, I love the guy, but he seems very sloppy in just about every match. Then again, I haven't watched any of his older stuff.

Sabu is a spot monkey.
Highspots are a lot harder to pull off correctly than giving someone a worked punch in the middle of the ring.
If 90% of your repertoire is highspots, over time, the law of averages catches up to you.
The guy has pulled off some amazing spots in his time.
However, he has been wrestling for many years.
Because he's gone for the gusto more often than most, he has also blown more spots than most over time.

I think the botchiness just adds to him. It never seems to keep the guy down, and he just tries something else.

He's had his good'ns... and his bad ones.
More often than not, though, I've always liked him in the ring. Spotty or not, he is an amazing athlete with a great gimmick. Sure, he's been known to botch a move here and there, but find me a wrestler who doesn't ever botch.

You heard of the human highlight reel? Well, Sabu's the human blooper reel. I dream of a day where Sabu comes out to Yakety Sax. I want to some day live in this world.

I remember when he debuted in ECW, in fact I was there. I was there for most of his early ECW stuff and he was far from a botchfest. I don't even remember him botching at all.
It wasn't until later on when he started doing the chair vaulting and springboard stuff that he botched all the time.

when your whole gimmick is that you'll risk your life and body to hurt your opponant. you're bound to mess up a bit.

His match with 2 Cold Scorpio in January 1996 is filled with awesome spots, nary a botch between the two. It's on the first ECW DVD. Checks it.

If Sabu told me to kill my family/friends/hos, I'd do it.
<3 Sabu. Meeting him was the greatest thing EVAH. And that includes having sex with 3 chicks in one night. BETTER THEN THAT DAMMIT.

The chair stuff and springboard stuff takes such an INCREDIBLE amount of balance, especially the chair, that him hitting it EVER is amazing.

Carlito gets tons of crap for springboarding, but to his credit, I've never seen him botch it.
