TNA seriously needs to get "Joe getting the Olympic slam" clip out of Kurt Angle's entrance video. It doesn't help Joe at all with that clip showing 3 or 4 times throughout the show.

Joe remains me of a friend of mine. Looking at him walking around he just looks kinda big, carrying mostly fat on him. But if you see him angry he's a beast and can annhilate pretty much anyone, even guys with a lot more muscle mass because he's damn tough and has a lot of natural strength.

Joe comes across to me this way. He is fat, theres no getting around it. But its not Jr Fatu fat and he still comes across as being able to kickass. Plus if you see hi live the fans really but into his power. So I really don't think its an issue, at least not for the majority. Most people will look at him and laugh pointing out his belly, but once they see him wrestle his strengths as a performer come out and most seem to buy him as a legit badass. Just in my experience though.

TNA just needs to be consistent with how they book Joe.

In ROH, Joe was always laid back during his promos (outside of a few angry ones), but, during his early run, he was a killer in the ring. As he grew more and more popular, though, they transitioned him into his full face character, which is basically Joe just being himself: a nice, laid back So-Cal guy with an admittedly short temper.

TNA kind of goes between those two characters. They started out with vicious, killer heel Joe, and have transitioned him into a face...but without making it definitive what kind of character he's playing. He still puts on great matches, and the whole "Joe is gonna kill you" vibe is still there during some of his feuds, but they've also made him look like "one of the boys" at times...which is something you can't really do with your monsters/killers/whatevers-like-those on your roster.

Frankly, I hope they build a Joe vs. Senshi feud, with Ki calling out Joe and saying "You've turned soft, so step aside". I want those two feuding again.

Joe can wrestle a match without looking horribly winded like Rikishi did in his recent TNA run.

To me Joe definitely looks like he can legit kick your ass all over the place.

I think Joe has the "big fight, I can destroy you in three moves" vibe that Taz gave off after returning from injury and tore through ECW.

I think the fact that he's a chubby guy that can move like a small guy is one of the coolest things about him. And it's not like he isn't doing well in his career so it's not really Joe's problem, it's your problem with Joe.

But seriously. What good is it to look like a bad MF asskicker if you can't back it up, and wind up looking like a klutz in the ring? Joe manages the look and backs it up.

Maybe he calls himself Samoa Joe because otherwise, we'd think he was an Italian hit man.

I just want to reiterate that I think he has a good look and add that I think he would look stupid with a beard.
