That's right folks, it's time to start my usual business of hyping up the Chikara November shows of The Battle of Who Could Care Less, The Sordid Perils of Every Day Existence, and Chapter 11. One match has been announced for each card, so let's get down to business....
"Battle of Who Could Care Less"
This card is starting out EXTREMELY hot, as we have two great women's wrestlers coming to the Reading War Memorial Arena. It's Portia Perez taking on SHIMMER champion, Sara Del Rey. Which woman will take the cake in the Chikara ring?
Another new match is announced, and this one has interesting implications, as MIYAWAKI returns to the US to take on that angry insect evildoer, ULTRAMANTIS BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not only should this be a great entertaining matchup, it also begs the question....is Yago on his way back to Chikara?
And it's trios time for the Battle, this time with an interesting twist, as Los Ice Creams team with Jigsaw of all people to take on Mitch Ryder, Robbie Ellis, and Larry Sweeney. Recently, Jigsaw's been showing some rudo tendencies, how will these affect the match and his comraderie with the Ice Creams?
And a new match is announced, and it's a YLC title defense. Young new comer Helios, in only his "second match" takes on the Neo Solar Temple's representative, HYDRA!!!!!!!!!!!!! in his first defense of the Cup. Will he retain, or will the more experience Mini-Man Monster triumph?
New match announced, and it's a trios main event featuring Incoherence teaming with Tim Donst to take on three fourths of the BLK OUT, represented by Eddie Kingston, Sabian, and Joker. This one is very interesting, because the winner could potentially gain a ton of momentum going into the next two nights of competition.
New match added, and it's the first ever singles confrontation between two former YLC champs, as Shane Storm takes on Chuck Taylor. Who will win in this battle of former champs?
New match announced, and it's a pretty big tag team match, featuring Claudio Castagnoli teaming up with Equinox to take on KoW members Chris Hero and Shayne Hawke.
New match announced, and it's a tag team match between Los Gatos Mexicanos and The Olsen Twins. Will the cats from Mexico get their third tag team point? Or will the twins get back on the board, and back on track to Los Campeonatos?
New matches announced, and first up, it's two unusual foursomes for a Relevos Atomicos match teaming Quackenbush up with the Colony to take on Team F.I.S.T and the Osirian Portal:
And another one, this time a singles match. It's Chikara's resident big man, "Big Rig" Brodie Lee taking on an Ultimo Dragon student, Passion Hasegawa. Who will triumph in this battle of America vs. Japan?
"The Sordid Perils of Everyday Existence"
Next up is a first time ever match, and I can almost guarantee that that is a true claim, as Young Lions Cup Champion Chuck Taylor takes on Japanese wrestler Passion Hasegawa. Now, I'll be honest, I have no clue if this is a YLC defense or not, but it should be interesting to see the relative unknown from Japan take on the rising indy star.
Another match announced, and this time it's a tag match pitting the rookie team of The Osirian Portal of Ophidian and Amasis, The Phunky Pharoah, taking on Los Gatos Mexicanos, or Pantera and Lince Dorado. Should be a ridiculously entertaining match to watch, if only for Amasis, who is amazingly charismatic, apparently.
Another match announced, and this time it's vengence, as Chris Hero takes on Equinox in an attempt to avenge his embarrasing defeat at the hands of the young luchador a few months back. One wonders if Equinox can pull off another upset with the Chikara Special submission.
And yet another match, and this time it's a Relevos Atomicos(8 man match) match that features the Kings of Wrestling, represented by Larry Sweeney, Mitch Ryder, and Team F.I.S.T taking on Quack, Tim Donst, and the team of Super Smash Bros.(Player Uno and Stupified). Can the technico team comprised mostly of rookies take on the more experienced rudos with the proper veteran leadership in Quack? Only time will tell.
And now it's time to see Incoherence defend their titles. And their first opponent is....you guessed it, UP IN SMOKE! Will the dual tecnico teams take it easy on one another? Will there be new champs? Or will Incoherence continue their reign of confusion on into the new season?
New match announced and it's a battle of Chikara's Young Lions as Soldier Ant, representing the Colony, takes on "Canada's Red Romeo" Shayne Hawke, representing the Kings of Wrestling and ginger kids everywhere. Who will win? The insect? Or the redhead?
New match added, and it's another International Incident match, this time Japan vs. Switzerland, as MIYAWAKI takes on Claudio Castagnoli. Will the most brutal looking headbutt in the business conquer the Most Money Making Man?
New match announced, and it's gonna be Shane Storm taking on the HYDRA in a battle guaranteed to get a little wacky. Which goofy grappler will take the W?
And, in preshow, action, it's the return of Retail Dragon and Lance Steel in a confrotation between Dragon and Knight. Who will wind up winning this medievil melee?
"Chapter 11"
This is the big one. In the ECW Arena, we get to see the most highly publicized defense of "Sweet'n'Sour" Larry Sweeney's ICWICWA Texarkana Television Title yet, as he has his long awaited rematch with F4W's own Bryan Alvarez! I gotta be honest, I'm eagerly anticipating this match, mostly to see what role Sweeney's fellow Kings of Wrestling play. Assuming of course, that they haven't all been dismantled by the Cibernetico champ, Claudio Castagnoli
Mitch Ryder's old friend, Robbie Ellis returns at Chapter 11 to take on THE MASSIVELY MUSCULAR MINIATURE MAN MONSTER HYDRA!!!!!!!!! This should be a hilarious match up to see, hopefully it will be on par with the Neo Solar Temple's meeting with Team Sweeney back in February.
Read my description on page five. Nothing else I can say other than Hallowicked vs. Eddie Kingston can do it justice here.
It's time for a new match, and it's luchas de apuestas as Lince Dorado puts his mask on the line against Mitch Ryder's hair. Who will take it? Old school Memphis, or the youngster from Mexico?
New match added, and it's a tecnico trios explosion as The Colony of Worker Ant, Fire Ant, and Soldier Ant takes on the trio of Shane Storm and Super Smash Bros.(Player Uno and Stupified).
New match announced, and it's another Trios match, this time international style, as Cheech and Cloudy, representing Jamaica team with the Mayor of Part Uknown, Deliroious to take on Japan's MIYAWAKI and Passion Hasegawa and Mexico's own legendary Pantera. Who will come out the victor?
Hero vs. Claudio, read my match announcment, as I can't possibly describe it in short here.
New matches added, two Trios matches. First off, Los Ice Creams team with Tim Donst to take on Team F.I.S.T, the Chuck Taylor Edition:
Secondly, QuackSaw teams with YLC Champ Helios to take on Chikara's resident Ginger Kid, Shayne Hawke, teaming with those wacky Egyptians, The Osirian Portal:
More will be added as I get more info.
