I'm just wondering what your personal opinions are on wrestlers smoking weed.
Personally, while I know that WWE can't openly condone a wrestling using illicit drugs, but I think if I were Vince I'd much rather have my guys going back to their hotel room and smoking a joint after the show than excessive drinking, pain pills or other more dangerous illegal drugs like coke. It just seems like it's a much better alternative. Your thoughts?

If you wanna get high, try sky diving.
If you wanna get stoned, try rock climbing.
Thank you D.A.R.E.!
But seriously, I have no problem with it but the pesky law sure seems to. Look at RVD and Sabu from last year.....

Well, I can't really condone what RVD and Sabu were doing as they were driving under the influence. That was a risky idea, that's why I said back at your room.

I apologize in advance if my post is too "political" or whatever and ends up getting this thread locked, but I'll try to keep it short and sweet. Weed should be legal like alcohol is. Once you reach a certain age, toke away, my friend. But that'll never happen, since there's too much money to be made from it by the government, and Lord knows we can't have that..........

If I was Vince, I'd track down on pot regardless if it is a stupid law. You don't want anymore bad publicity.

Well, he's somewhat cracked down on it as it's now included under the Wellness Policy. But on the same note I think he would be foolish to have imposed the same regulations for weed as are supposed to be applied to other drugs. Although if a situation like RVD/Sabu happened again, I'd be tempted to go pretty hard on them because that's very public, and driving under the influence is driving under the influence regardless.

I feel the same way I feel about anyone smoking weed... In your living room toke away, if your driving a bus, wait til after work... I've heard so much about RVD and Sabu working high, and that can't be safe

What you do on your own time is your own business. What you do when you're potentially putting others' lives in your hands is another.

As long as they're not wrestling or driving high I see no problem with it what so ever.

I'd much rather have a wrestler be forced not to do things like coke and do weed instead rather than go to alcohol. None of those should be done while driving but if a wrestler can get by with weed, more power to'em. Alcoholism and drug use would be way more lethal than a few joints IMO

Ditto, and I agree that so long as it doesn't interfere with the wrestler being able to go out and do his job it's really none of our business what a wrestler does in his recreation time.

I need some right now. You guys heard the story about Konnan and Bret Hart smoking weed together once.COOL 1. I totally feel you, brother. 2. No, I'm not familiar with the story. Please tell it if you could. And, obviously, as a smoker I don't have any issue with anybody else enjoying it as well. As for DUI and on the job, I can't entirely condemn it because I've done both before. To be honest, I rather enjoy driving stoned. I'd never drive drunk, mind you, but driving stoned isn't like that for me. I recognize it isn't for everybody, but it is for me. For me, I just know to stay focused on the task at hand, and it doesn't get in my way.

It wouldnt matter what Vince thinks. The government says its bad so the majority of people automatically say its bad...
...then they go and smoke cigarettes and drink beer since obviously those things never hurt anyone directly... [/sarcasm at 100]
