Driving stoned is nothing like driving drunk.
If anything it heightens your awareness.

Quite simply, it is THE best and safest drug to be on. I'm a fairly regular user myself, so I am certainly biased, but, really, why should anyone care? It helps with pain and relaxation, and is obviously far better than some of the shite they're on. But in the US, is it more frowned upon than in more intelligent areas?

I say if you wait until AFTER your match to smoke then it's all good. No matter what you think your tolerence is, getting high before a match is just bad.

It wouldnt matter what Vince thinks. The government says its bad so the majority of people automatically say its bad... ...then they go and smoke cigarettes and drink beer since obviously those things never hurt anyone directly... [/sarcasm at 100] I agree with that also. I am a pot-smoker and I always wondered why some places *cough Busch Gardens* condemns pot yet promotes liquor. It is obvious that the government can't regulate weed, so it is banned. Regardless, I would not give wrestlers the right to smoke pot. If the media finds out, expect days and days of "Bad wrestler smokes pot." Personally, I don't care if they do or not. Hogan smokes pot, and many others. I am also in the camp that doesn't personally care if they take steroids, since I can't comment whether it is bad or not(without trying it out of course).

I don't particularly care what other people do in their private lives.

As long as the wrestler's not under any influence during the matches, couldn't care less.

These guys need to relax. It's not like they have a lot of time to unwind amidst all the sleep, travel and training.
Driving isnt even an issue for most people, personally smoking pot while driving makes me more conscious on the roads (might forget where I was going but hey thats the fun part). Using while inside the ring, honestly, wrestling a match would be quite a buzzkill and a waste of pot.

After the show, in your room, help yourself. Although if they get pinched by the cops, eh, then they've gotta come down on 'em.

They should be subject to the same consequences as anyone else. As long as it is against the law, then they are taking a risk.
Now you can argue whether the law is appropriate or not. it is clearly inconsistent, in that alcohol is almost certainly more destructive than weed, but is legal for adults.
Anabolic steroids and HGH are a separate issue because they don't alter consiousness, which is the major argument against alcohol and most other illegal drugs. I personally don't have a problem with them, if used by adults. If an athlete wants to use them, and accepts the health consequences, its ok by me.

I think wrestling would be a lot more entertaining if every worker did promos stoned. Hell, in kayfabe terms that could be the remedy for everyone being so darn angry all the time.

Madison-I understand your point. However, there are 2 differences: 1) steroids do not have an immediate effect. Its a chronic, longterm thing
2) many experts believe "roid rage" to be a function of the personality type that would use steroids in the first place, rather than a direct effect of the drug. I suspect its a little of both, but is highly variable based on the individual.

If it means Kennedy and Orton stop the whole "angry blank look" thing then I'd be cool with that. It wouldn't be " angry blank" anymore; it would just be blank. And lots of promos would get off-track, and there would be a lot of, "Uuuhhm...." being said. So yeah, boys ... fire one up!

I personally dont have a problem with it because I know its rampid not only in wrestling but everywhere.
Ive used it before and I find it way less harmful than alcohol. I cant speak about other drugs because I have never done anything else or plan on doing so.
I hear pot is actually healthier than cigarettes, but like you guys said, as long as they arent high and wrestling or driving I dont see it as a concern.
I mean I know guys like Road Dogg, RVD, Sabu, X-Pac, Konnan, Rey Mysterio, Orton, and others have done it....it shocked me the first time I ever heard of a wrestler smoking pot, but now its just such a common thing that it doesnt effect me nor bother me.

Weed should be legal like alcohol is. Once you reach a certain age, toke away, my friend. But that'll never happen, since there's too much money to be made from it by the government, and Lord knows we can't have that..........
Vintage, comparing pot to alcohol, "should be legal cus alcohol is". That's a good way to solve problems, add a problem. Pretty self destructive philosophy. I should be able to buy an AK-47 because i can kill with a car too?
....i have no problem with people smoking pot, i just don't care if it's legalized.

If people want to kill, they're going to in spite of what arbitrary laws their are.
