I only have a problem if they smoke pot or drink before a match, because that's selfish and puts the other guy in danger.
Yes, even when the Sandman does it.

Weed should be legal like alcohol is. Once you reach a certain age, toke away, my friend. But that'll never happen, since there's too much money to be made from it by the government, and Lord knows we can't have that.......... Vintage, comparing pot to alcohol, "should be legal cus alcohol is". That's a good way to solve problems, add a problem. Pretty self destructive philosophy. I should be able to buy an AK-47 because i can kill with a car too? ....i have no problem with people smoking pot, i just don't care if it's legalized. Well, that's something of a false analogy, considering that cars and AK-47's have no relationship. The point is that alcohol was invented by Europeans and has a long tradition of usage by white people. Weed was introduced to America by Latin migrant farmers and popularized by black Jazz musicians. That's why they call it by the Spanish word "marijuana" instead of cannabis, it's actual, scientific name. Marijuana conjures images of "dirty foreigners", and allowed the government to create a bogeyman in Mexican and black people of "ill repute" who would corrupt innocent white suburban children and shove pot in their mouth. The big picture is that weed is illegal because of a long history of racism and economics, not morals, the public health or safety. The fact that an addictive, damaging, and potentially deadly drug like alcohol flows freely, and the comparatively harmless cannabis is illegal and "immoral" illustrates that hypocrisy better than anything else. You may not care, but there are people who aren't free to live their lives normally, or fully practice their religion because of it.

If a wrestler wants to steal a car and snort coke off a hooker's ass, I have no problem with that. If it's good enough for NPH then it's good enough for wrestlers.....
(That's just a Harold & Kumar reference, not a real statement)

You do what you gotta do.
But your head needs to be 100% clear when people are putting their lives in your hands for the sake of simple entertainment. That's why stoner wrestlers piss me off.
Smoke it up over vacations, holidays or whatever. Just be 100% clear before you try that 450 splash.

Much like with alcohol...
Don't do it and drive. Don't go in the ring drunk. If you use it socially and it doesn't interfere with your work and relationships. I have no problem with it.

If I was Vince, I'd track down on pot regardless if it is a stupid law. You don't want anymore bad publicity. I agree. I don't have a problem with them using it in their own houses, I just have a problem with them getting a DUI, speeding, and getting caught on camera with their shirts off.

How do I personally feel as an individual? I honestly don't care. It doesn't affect my opinion of a wrestler in any way. I personally think people are WAY too uptight about marijuana, and, even though I don't smoke it at all, I wouldn't be opposed to legalizing it.
How would I feel if I were the promoter of a wrestling company? All my personal views aside, the general public tends to frown on it, and that's who I'm catering to. I'd make it very clear that what anyone does on their own time is their own business, but if they ever do anything that would reflect negatively on my promotion (such as being caught/arrested with marijuana), there will be stiff consequences.

Weed shouldn't be legal like anything else. People say things like "well this over here is legal, why not weed, or that ovet there is legal, why not weed", but the thing is, is that instead of legalizing pot because tobacco and alcohol are legal, mabe tobacco and alcohol should be illegal as well.
I know this is not a popular opinion.
The government though, don't support their laws based on your health, like they would want you to believe, they do what's most convienient for them. Have you ever seen the government back a law that wasn't convienient for them? With that said, I say that alot of laws aren't even made because of the dangers, they're made because of what a bunch of stupid people might do. If enough people choked on hotdogs to get an oxygen depleted high, then hotdogs would be made illegal.
I say pot is still illegal not because of danger, but because of the attitudes people have with it, and how people would go crazy with it if it were made legal on the streets, like alcohol.
I say that if pot were to be made legal, it should only be used in the privacy of your own home. I do, however, feel that no pro athlete should use the drug, as it does more bad for them than good. Sure, it makes you feel better, but so manny people think that because something feels better, that it means it's the right thing to do.
I feel that If You're getting paid a 6 figure income with the WWE, lay of the weed, it's not a performance enhancing drug, it's a performance reducing drug. It's the one drug that's killed the least amount of people, too bad people judge wether or not something is good or not based off of if you die.

I don't care, but I don't think it's too much to ask they not toke up prior to getting into the ring etc, or that since it is illegal (and it doesn't really matter anyone's beliefs therein) not to get 'caught' with it. Other than that, it's their business.

Well, I didn't say "relatively harmless" I said "comparatively harmless". When I compare the two, weed seems harmless in comparison to something that I consider to be one of the most dangerous drugs available. Weed can certainly become an addiction, any drug can greatly complicate your life, and of course, inhaling smoke of any kind isn't good for your body or lungs. I didn't mean to come of saying weed doesn't do any harm. I've always thought that the biggest potential problem is just that it makes doing nothing all the time feel good. And if you're not careful, you can waste a lot of time sitting around doing nothing and smoking pot. So, I guess we probably agree with each other.
