I've got nothing personal against him. I just don't like how his character is booked. A prime example would be this past week on Smackdown. For someone who's supposed to be a face, he acts like a total jerk and a whiner. All the promos about "needing his title back" got old and annoying real fast. And not to mention he pulled a coward b**** move on Smackdown this week when he speared Taker and hauled ass out of the ring real fast, all while claiming to not be afraid of him. Um, yeah Batista that wasn't real convincing with that move. As far as in-ring ability, it all depends on the opponent. I still say if WWE turned him heel I'd be able to tolerate him more, but as a face he just doesn't convince me. And sadly, he'll probably be WHC for several more months until Edge or Taker get it. Wish it would happen tonight, but it seems too soon.

I spent some time with Batista once, he's really cool, but extremely quiet. On a side note, I read through some of his book, and as predicted, the quotes that were posted from his book were taken out of context in order to make him look bad. You're obviously a liar If it was posted on backstage-stories.net it MUST be true!

I liked him when he was the muscle of evolution who was quiet and was fine as the enforcer. But as a solo main eventer I just can't behind him. He really doesn't have anything that makes me care enough about him. He isn't the most charismatic guy, not the best on the mic, not a great wrestler, his character isn't that original. He just has big muscles... but if i want to see guys with big muscles I will watch body building.... Honestly I really believe if Brock Lesnar was still in the WWE Batista would be still be a mid carder...

I don't think he deserves the rep he's gotten around here. I'm not huge fan of the guy. I don't go to shows specifically to see him, but I've never had a complaint about one if his matches either. He entertains me.

He's ok. The perception of him around these parts is completely unneccesary.

you can count me as one of the few who like Batista. don't think he's a horrible a wrestler(or a person) as he's been made out to be.

I like him ok. I really dug the whole HHH program, and though he's never been that good again to me, he's finally started to come back to form since he first came back from injury ( he really was terrible for a couple months after that). Glad they finally gave him the title, as his monthly chase was really tedious. Was definitely glad anyone took the strap from Khali. So overall, he's decent, needs some tweaks to his character certainly, but decent. So guess I'll vote yes.
The whole flap over him maybe getting Ariel fired is silly. If there is a story there we sure haven't heard both sides.. not to mention the fact that if you were in charge who would you curry favor with- a main eventer who sells tix and merchandise, or a fairly replaceable chick who while having a unique look doesn't really do much except for the occasional 'c'mon Thorn!' at ringside?

It doesn't matter about all the backstage stuff, which none of us will never be able to confirm anyway. It doesn't even matter how much of an ass his own book seems to make him out to be.
The "Big" Dave Batista that we see on TV, and the arena marks see live, sucks all kinds of ass. Can't work. Can't talk. He's a babyface, so he whines on camera, refuses to give return bouts for the title, and harrasses/assaults announcers? He sucks at everything that makes a wrestler, performer, or "sports entertainer" any good.

It's funny, the backstage NEWZ makes Batista seem like a real asshole, but everyone I knew who met him, including myself, thought he was extremely shy person. When I met him, he could barely talked to me, and he always spoke in a low voice. A person went to his house one time to install some appliances, and Batista was hiding in his room, telling his then wife to thank the person for installing the product and tip him.
Based on that, I don't take backstage stuff too seriously, as a lot of it is no different than the tabloids you see on Hollywood movie actors.

Freaking loved this Evolution and Post Evolution On Raw days, but once he went to Smackdown, he was reduced to talking about Basketballs holding grudges whilst he was dressed like a weird Simon Cowell/Dance Intructor hybrid That Turtleneck Was Awesome.

I don't like Dave Bautista: Man.
I do like that he seems to be trying, he seems to be learning, and he seems to at least understand ring work (not that he can actually pull it off)

If he's working with a real ring veteran with experience out the ass like Taker, Eddie, Trips, Finlay, Flair, even JBL to some extent, you can about guarantee a good match. But anyone else? Expect a lazy, lethargic Batista.
Batista = Ultimate Warrior 2K7.

The only time I can stand him is when he's in a match with The Undertaker..as they can have decent matches.
Other than that..his only redeeming quality is that he's incredibly fun to make fun of.

I think I buy him more as a heel than a face. He just never came off as a good guy face to me. His look screams "big angry heel" to me.
