He went to Illinois I think.
Damn you Tebow. How could you lose to Michigan of all teams? Damn "heisman curse".

So, the Sugar Bowl. Colt Brennan is better than your favorite quarterback that isn't Jared Lorenzen. Discuss.

Illinois was in the game for about 5 minutes in the 3 quarter. Other than that it was all USC

Man, I can't believe that UM beat Florida. I was just hoping they'd hang tight and not get blown out. I am real happy for the seniors and Coach Carr. The last 4 years have been tough but, I am glad it could end on a happy note for them all.

I'm a Bulldogs fan and I want to apologize for that "Overrated" chant a few minutes ago.
I can't believe we're waiting this long for a challenge for a play that essientally doesn't mean anything on our end. Come on, Dogs. You're ahead 38-3. Just give it to them.
And I don't think Hawaii is overrated at all. I think the reason why they aren't playing as well is because: 1)they've never played against a defense as strong as Georgia's and 2)I can tell that they've been really nervous all night, probably overwhelmed too. Mainly because of the big game setting and expectations of them because of Boise State's win last year.
If had to pick an overrated team, I'd say Kansas. I know they only have one loss, but Missouri proved they were the better team. I personally feel that Mizzou got screwed and should have been in the Orange Bowl instead. I guarantee that if Kansas played Oklahoma, Oklahoma would have tore them apart and they would have been defeated by them far worse than Missouri was defeated.
I wish the Tournament of Roses commitee (or whoever decides who plays in the Rose Bowl) would have invited Georgia to play against USC instead of Illinois. I think that USC/Georgia and Hawaii/Illinois would have made for better and more evenly matched games.

USC whoops Illinois in the Rose Bowl 49-17. Living proof that traditional matchups are much better than selecting deserving teams. Can we kick the Rose Bowl out of the BCS when the new Cowboys Stadium opens and starts hosting the Cotton Bowl?

Why did the Cotton Bowl Fall a few years ago anyways. It used to be one of the Big ones The main reason is the stadium they play it in sucks; it's very old and outdated, seats are uncomfortable, and in a terrible location. UT and OU threatened to pull out of having their annual game there and go home-and-home if the city didn't upgrade it. The plan is when the new Cowboys Stadium opens that it will be the new host of the Cotton Bowl. Don't know if UT/OU will move there though.

It was one of the obstacles for there being a BCS title game in the first place. The Rose Bowl and the two conferences were both locked in place.

Didn't Texas play in the Rose Bowl in place of a Pac-10 team the year that USC won the BCS Championship? They COULD have let Georgia play in it, they just chose tradition instead. Either way, it looks like all four BCS bowl games could be blowouts. Georgia just made anyone that thinks Hawaii should've gotten national title consideration look silly. USC beat the dog out of Illinois in a very "traditional" Rose Bowl. Then we have coachless WVU against a very good Oklahoma team tomorrow. Then a VaTech team that was peaking at the end of the season, against a good, but not spectacular, Kansas team. I really hope the BCS Title game isn't a dud. And I agree, the Cotton Bowl should be included in the BCS. If they move to the "Plus 1" bowl system they could have 5 BCS Bowls (the four current ones, plus the Cotton), and then the BCS title game a week later. Of course, I'm more in favor of a playoff (like, you know, EVERY OTHER MAJOR SPORTS LEAGUE ON THE PLANET uses) than any other alternative.

I'd like to formally apologize to The Ohio State University, for my comments this past December, regarding my beliefs that Hawaii could hang with, and beat, the Buckeyes in a game.
I'm truly and sincerely sorry.

"Is there any doubt Southern Cal is the best team in the nation? Of course not. The Trojans' dismantling of Illinois in the Rose Bowl is just further validation that USC is the cream of this year's crop of teams." - Tom Dienhart (Sporting News and Yahoo Sports columnist)
Uh, yeah, there's doubt. I think Georgia and Oklahoma are both better teams. You think just because they beat Illinois by a wide margin that they're the best team in country? Sorry, but I think Oklahoma and Georgia could both do that as well.

I believe the deal that the Rose Bowl has with the BCS is something like this: The Rose Bowl is given first choice of the Big Ten/Pac Ten teams so long as they're not ranked 1 or 2 in the country. When Texas played USC it was because it was the national championship game.

I need to let out a rant just for my sanity. I think UGA could defeat LSU and Ohio State. They really got hosed on the final BCS rankings in my view and of course I am biased. They were fourth and Ohio State was third. Then the number one and two teams both lost. Well Ohio State jumps from three to one without even playing and Georgia actually falls from four to five without even playing. LSU, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech all leapfrog Georgia in the rankings, even though Georgia had won six straight games, including impressive wins against Florida, Auburn, and Kentucky.
They go to the Sugar Bowl and destroy the previously undefeated Hawaii who lead the nation in offense. The UGA held Heisman-candidate Colt Brennan to zero touchdowns, sacking him eight times, and forcing three interceptions. The only touchdown they gave up was in the fourth quarter when they were using backup defensive players. They could have scored more points in the fourth quarter, while their backups played in the redzone. They opted to let their second and third string players play four full downs instead of kicking a sure field goal or trying to score a touchdown with their starting team. Their overall schedule was one of the most difficult in football in my view. Certainly it was more difficult than the teams playing the Big 10 or the Pac 10.
Okay, I think I feel a little better after that partisan rant.

I knew Hawaii was going to lose, but hey...at least they have a team to build on now. Anyone can step into their offense and be a half-way decent quarter back, they just need a o-line that can hold out just a few seconds longer so the QB can pass.
