"WSX will join Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, Firefly and other TV greats in the pantheon of shows Americans were too stupid to "get." - Derek Burgan of F4Wonline.com
There is a big debate as to whether or not Wrestling Society X was garbage or entertaining.
After watching the entire season on DVD I actually found myself enjoying it. I didn't really watch it on MTV.
I found the wrestling entertaining, even if it a "spotfest."I really loved the gimmicks of Matt Classic, Human Tornado, and El Hombre Blanco Enmascarado. However, I think the most annoying person ever to step into a ring is Fabian Kaelin.
Of course the organization is over the top with their piranha matches, Quiznos plugs, and lame camera effects, but it's that kinda stuff that made me laugh and actually enjoy the dvd.

Apparently I didn't "get it". I thought it was garbage. Barely qualified as wrestling.

WSX was XPW for the PG set. Take that for what's it's worth.
But it does bother me that they screened the audience and had casting calls for the audience. Yeah, it's tv, but why go through all that? Are the usual wrestling fans in southern CA so butt ugly that they have to screen them? Okay, maybe they are. But still...it rubs me the wrong way.

It watched it once. All I could think was, "What the hell am I watching?" and changed channels.

It was cheesy and crazy. I couldn't take it serious, but I don't think it was trying for that anyway.
I liked it.

It probably shouldn't have been taken seriously, but it still sucked hard,IMO.

I liked it because it was something 'different' on tv. That's a positive, I guess, along with the talented dudes in the ring. Fabian Kaelin was super rad. Haven't got the dvd set yet, but the order has been placed, so any day now. Whoo-hoo!

It may have been different, but different doesn't always mean it's good.

It was entertaining and a fun 30 minutes. It was stupid fun unlike TNA. I find it interesting that TNA hardcore fans use to crap on WSX when WSX was better than anything TNA has done for most of the year.
WSX was on the wrong network. They barely promoted the show.

You're entitled to think that, but that's your opinion. TNA may have had some problems this year, but I don't think it was as bad as some of the stuff on WSX.

I hated it when I heard MTV was doing it, and then enjoyed it when I watched it.

Did that dude seriously just compare WSX to Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared and Firefly? That's the stupid thing I've ever read.
WSX was just horrible.

I dug WSX, I don't really know why. It was just something fun to watch. Spotfest or not, it entertained me.

It was fun but what is there to get? I mean it was 30 minutes of superfast wrestling; some good, some bad. The matches ahd zero psychology and utilized some very talanted wrestlers but I can see how traditional wrestling fans (or wrestling fans in general) may not have liked it. It was jsut about trying somthing new and it failed miserably.
