That's why I have yet to purchase any ring of honor DVDs, despite all the good things I hear... Its just a group of people who want to rewrite the rules of wrestling psychology just to be different, and it ends up like that... This dude is British right? yes he's british, and the move has nothing to due with "wrestling psychology". before he started using it in almost every match it was a reversal. someone would push him into the ropes and he would do the move. it wasn't until it became his main finisher that he just stand someone up and do it for no reason yeah when it was originally him selling the other guy by going into the ropes it worked. but by him just going into the ropes on his own free will makes him look really really stupid.

True... does he still use the Tower of London?

Here's my stance on it: Like the Canadian Destroyer, it looks stupid when done every match. If you pulled it out once every blue moon, it'd look a lot better. Plus, Nigel is a big man by ROH standards. It'd make sense needing a wind up to knock out Morishima or Joe, etc., but not men smaller than him. I feel the same way, but I think the running Destroyer is believable. Moreso than the standing one that is.

Well, the rope thing is uneccessary i agree.
It's made worse by the fact that he does so many lariats. Unless he's cut it down since last time I saw him, his finisher is a move he does 400 times a night. I'm glad Nigel "The Lariat" McGuinness has the arm submission. He debuted it in Dayton I believe, I liked it.

Well part of his fued with Chris Hero has been Hero standing up and saying "ALL YOU DO IS LARIATS! GET A NEW MOVE!!!" and calling him Nigel McLariat so I believe ROH is listening to the criticisms.
I agree that when used by himself it looks slightly reTARDed. I know he stopped using the Tower of London as much because he was mainly involved in fued with bigger guys (Morishima, Joe) so he needed another move to help break them down. Plus the Lariat battle that he had with Morishima at Fighting Spirit was a GREAT match and did a lot to build drama...just when all he does is Lariats it doesn't come off well.
It is looking like he's changing his style up slightly so that helps.
