He has a weird look. I think it is hilarious that he is becoming an A-List star now being on blockbusters like Transformers, Suburbia, and Indiana Jones. He is just proof that not only are the movie mediocre now but so are the actors.

MY obervation? Shia Labouf joins Nick Cage, Harrison Ford and Christian Bale as an actor who will make tons of cash and be very succesful by playing the same character in every movie he's in.

Bale hardly plays the same character in every movie. Or perhaps you've missed AMERICAN PSYCHO or RESCUE DAWN? I mean, this is the guy who plays Batman, and he's hardly Bruce Wayne in EITHER of those roles. And for that matter, Ford has WHAT LIES BENEATH to discredit that observation about him. Shit, Nic Cage has both MOONSTRUCK and ADAPTATION to prove that he doesn't fit in that generalization either. You want to talk "same face, same character, every role"? Try Michael Madsen post RESERVOIR DOGS, or Jessica Alba, in every movie she's ever been in. My two cents on Shia? He has POTENTIAL. I loved the guy in DISTURBIA. More stuff like that, please.

crap, Nic Cage has both MOONSTRUCK and ADAPTATION to prove that he doesn't fit in that generalization either. In response to this, while its not ALL of his movies, so many times it seems like we're not seeing the character, we're seeing what would happen if Nic Cage was pretending to be the character, you know what I mean? Nic just can;t seem to stop reminding audiences that he's Nic Cage while in the middle of a role.

Sam Jackson is that way, except I'm actually interested in seeing what it would be like if Sam Jackson was a police detective, or an FBI agent, or a Jedi. EDIT: Also, just to remain relevant: I hate Shia.

I enjoy a lot of Christian Bale's work, but he often picks roles that involve a gravely voice, a haunted past and the inabilty to emotionally connect to those around him.
The guy is really good at what he does, but he just does it too often for my tastes. I know I'm jumping the gun here - but he's cast to play the adult John Connon: I wonder how that'll go?
Ford is crap on screen. I'm sorry, but he only has two settings. The gruff good guy or the panicked good guy (I JUST WANT MY FAMILY BACK!)
I'm not hating on them - if someone said that I could make a billion bucks by basically playing the same guy in each movie - I'd do it in a heart beat.

Again, WHAT LIES BENEATH shatters that assumption about Ford. I know it's nitpicking....but you can't say the guy only has two modes, or plays the same role in EVERY movie when he clearly has more range than what you're saying. All it takes is one exception to shatter the EVERYTHING stereotype. See, my Jessica Alba generalization stands just because of that rule: She brings the ONLY thing she has to every role....her hotness. If a role calls for more than just a great set of tits, chances are Jessica Alba is NOT the actress to call. Her range of facial expressions has led me to dub her the "female Zoolander". But one day, Jessica will drop "Blue Steel" on us, and then she'll show us......we'll see!

They have done one or two roles that have stood out, but for the most part they don't stray to far from the cash cow - if you know what I mean. And I def. agree about Alba and countless others as well, but Ford and Bale were the two on my mind on account of Indy4 and Dark Knight. As long as Blue Steele is from the chest down - it will indeed be magnificant.
