I was just pondering this and hadn't really heard much of it brought up. With WWE's <3 of celebs in the HoF, which I'm fairly indifferent to so long as the celebrities have done something to earn a spot. (Pete Rose is okay, imo... William Perry, not so much.)
What are your thoughts on Donald Trump entering 'Mania? He hosted 'Mania IV and V. He was a part of last year's 'Mania and actually showed up to build up the PPV and plugged them on TV. He had Cena on the Celebrity Apprentice, etc.
I imagine Vince will put him in eventually, unless for some strange reason Trump declines. But the question is do you think he deserves to be in it?

At least Trump did do some things in order to deserve his spot (back to back Manias, WM 23 buyrates!!), and he made Vince bald! BAH GAWD KANG!

If Pete Rose is in the Hall of Fame, basically any OTHER celebrity deserves to be in it.
Hell, f*** Trump. Let's put Cindi Lauper in. Rock and Wrestling? It could happen.

I say put Trump in for the reasons above. Vince does owe Trump for the Trump venues and Wrestlemania 23.

He'll be in at one point, but not right away. I'd put a couple of other celebrities, including Mr T and Lawrence Taylor, in before him.

The right half of my body says yes, however, the left half says no.
It's weird, I feel like Dr Strangelove.

I would say the "Pete Rose standard" of celeb hall of famers is this. If you can remember them doing something memorable at Wrestlemania in the context of the card itself then they are in.
So by my count that should be
Muhammad Ali Mr. T Cyndi Lauper Bob Uecker Alice Cooper Lawrence Taylor Mike Tyson Donald Trump Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (after this year)

Eh sure. He's been good to WWE in the past. Why not.

Wasn't he the person that demanded and paid a ton for wrestlemania 4/5/9
Plus with he as the manager of Bobby Assly it's enough reason for me to not care.
I only hope that one Hall of Fame they induct like 90 guys that deserve to be in it, and give them at least a video montage. That way not only do political friends and current workers and family members get the key to the club.

If Pete Rose is in the Hall of Fame, basically any OTHER celebrity deserves to be in it. I never liked this mentality, it's like saying, "well my friend cheats on his wife, so why shouldn't?" I mean I know where you're coming from, but in any sense of a HOF, if they wanted to treat it with any respect to the business, they'd put the absolute most deserving in. Sure they can make mentions of people and even have them be a part of wrestling history, but to induct them based on a handful of appearances? I say no.

I don't see a problem with a celebrity wing. First of all its a HOF for a worked sport. Second of all its specifically noted that its a special wing separate from the wrestlers themselves. Baseball has an announcers wing and a writers wing.

I would agree with that. I'm just pointing out that Halls of Fame have separate wings for things that don't have a lot to do with the sport itself. I just don't see the problem with a separate celebrity wing that is made perfectly clear is an entirely separate group than the wrestlers and wrestling personalities themselves.

I just don't see the problem with a separate celebrity wing that is made perfectly clear is an entirely separate group than the wrestlers and wrestling personalities themselves. The problem first off, is the actual Hall is nothing more than a list at this point, there isn't an actual place of being. So there can't be any real "wings" because there's no f***ing building. And there are plenty of people I would agree to including Mr. T, Cyndi Lauper and Andy Kaufman, people who actually CONTRIBUTED to the sport itself rather than just being there just for an easy paycheck.
